Loved this place! Great wine selection and light tapas. Perfect if you are going to see a movie next door at the Gateway Theater. Delightful.

Didn’t actually go here so just picked an average start rating. Just wanted to go to their website and see their menu to see if we liked their food. Couldn’t get the menu to come up. I did call them and seems that they don’t have a mobile compatible website. They said they would call their developer.

Stopped by on a recent visit to Fort Lauderdale. Jim, the bartender was extremely knowledgeable, about the great variety of wines offered here. Also had a chance to meet the owners who are very friendly and easy to talk to. Wish they would move north. Food was excellent. I can’t wait for my next visit to Fort Lauderdale to stop by and try more of their wide selection of wines.

Great friends introduced me to this fun Venue. I rarely rate Wine Bars as often they just have a few Vintages and mark them up. But Welcome to Mod Wine Lounge with the two partners(Frank is there the most) will simply amaze you with their unique selections, all very affordable. And as I was told, I will tell you ‘Do the chocolate Bread Pudding’ Hint. the other partner is Cajun, so his cooking is on the money! They choose the Wines from regions they travel to, they know the history, they live the Wine Life. This is what a true Wine Lover seeks. that rare Vintage, Unique to the Pallet, surprising it its complexity! I have found always a nice upscale crowd, never crowded, but always Fun. This is a bit hard to find in Google Maps, but it is right next to the Theatre which is lit of with many lights and easy to see. Street Parking, plus a free Parking lot one block over. Trust me, if you like Wine. you owe it to yourself to Check out this Amazing Venue!

Wine bar offering wines by the glass, by the bottle and craft beers, and also serves a small menu of small plates. Not being a fan of the 70’s I found the décor to be cheesy and not the usual vibe you find at wine bars, which tends to be sophisticated and classy. Mod Wine has lava lamps, and 70’s décor through out. Service was friendly but a bit slow, my friend tried the slow cooked pork sliders and said they were delicious. Nice selection of wines.

Not impressed at all. I live local and stopped in after work for a glass. After I purchased a so so glass for 8 dollars only then I was told there was a wine tasting for 5 dollars. I would have paid more but wanted to see what it was all about. They cut out the music at 930 and it was a Thursday night so nothing fun at all or interesting about the place. I like to sit outside and it felt like I was sitting in cheap out door furniture. The owner was not gracious at all. I give it 2 mont hs and they will be out of business

The inside is beautiful! Very elegant and clean. It is quiet and quite romantic. There is a happy hour every day between 4 – 7. Besides for the happy hour I have never seen the place busy. I think it is half price during this time. I have been there once and maybe I was just there on an off night. That evening many of the wines were not available from the list and the waitress seemed a bit limited in her knowledge for alternatives. We got an appetizer which we did not really care for. It was a dip with pita bread. I did not like the flavor. There is a big parking lot located right next to it. I feel I should give it another chance.

What a nice place. It’s next to the gateway theater on sunrise. Parking is free in the evening so don’t feed the meter. The wine selection is superb and the staff is knowledgable to help you choose just the right wine. We had the charcuterie board which is a plate with cheeses, meats, and delicious little pickles and peppers and mustard. What a treat, we will be back.

I am not sure what I like the most about this place. The comfy atmosphere, wonderful service, delicious food or WINE. We shared a charcuterie board which had a nice selection of cheeses, meats, cherry peppers, mini pickles, and seed mustard. We also had an organic hummus and olive tapenade. Tonight we had a Portuguese blend wine called Rofu that was out of this world. This was our second visit here and will be adding this to our list of places to stop for a casual glass of wine whenever in the neighborhood.

My wife and I came here for a friend’s surprise party, but the real surprise was the unique selection of wines, dessert, and friendly service. I had the best chocolate bread pudding ever! One of the owners is a chef and has written cookbooks about comfort foods. We will definitely come back.

Mod Wine Lounge is definitely an improvement over its location predecessor Chill Wine Lounge, but not by much. Overall the wine selection shows a marked improvement as does the friendliness of the service, however service wise I still find it somewhat annoyingly on the slow side with the staff chatting away with friends and seemingly oblivious to other customers patiently standing by. The décor and setup of the place is rather identical to what it was when Chill occupied the place. It’s modern, clean, comfy, relaxing and casual. The offer some small plate tapas and are also venturing into having special event like a National Rose Wine Day, a Jordesca(a fortified 18% wine, being one of the newest of the wine crazes) cocktail hour, an Iberian Delights with the wines or Portugal and Spain, and will soon be having live music on Saturday nights. As of this writing, Mod has not officially opened, but has a Grand Opening Party schedule for June 27th.
