Overall I enjoyed the food and the service was phenomenal… However, my eggs just weren’t cooked properly the first time when asked. Probably my biggest pet peeve going to places and them making me what they want to make me. I would definitely go back again. The Moonlite Diner is one of the best diners in all of South Florida. I’d add to the list Miami Beach’s 11th Street Diner(great roast turkey platter and carrot cake) Hallandale’s Flashback Diner and Ft. Lauderdale’s Peter Pan. The Moonlite really is a standout diner. The waitresses are cool and all do a good job. The menu is long and typical, but most dishes are well prepared and quite tasty. The décor is fun, the music is not too loud and genre appropriate(50’s and 60’s). The outdoor seating is great and the best any diner could offer during a sunset in our cooler season. Overall a great place that will let you hang with your friends and have a delicious meal. Make sure to be cool to the gals and leave a 20% tip! They work hard on their feet all day and night. Cozy diner with excellent and friendly service and classic food options. Best milkshakes we have had in ages!!! We loved the booth seating with ample space to sit next to each other. Open the menu and WoW what a selection of milkshakes! Hubby was thrilled. In fact, menu has pages filled with classic delicious diner selections, including the cores like the Club, Grilled Cheese and you can add bacon and/or tomato. A whole page is dedicated to burgers. Sides include the classic diner stable of Disco fries, that’s tons of brown gravy with melted cheese. Here they use mozzarella and it really works perfectly. So very gooey and the gravy was exceptional. Only negative not lumpy but the flavors were dreaming quality. The service is clearly what brings this place to the top. Stacy was friendly and very helpful. I wanted Disco fries but didn’t want a whole order for just me. Stacy suggested changing the regular fries that come with my club sandwich for my disco fries for a small up charge! Huge happy moment for me! The servers work as a team and it was evident they like it here which only encouraged us to like it more. Thank you Stacy for your cheery disposition and efficient service! Very reasonable prices makes it inviting to visit often. Plenty of free parking too. Loved the covered outside tables for dining with the doggie. Next time doggie will join us too! Unilocalers enjoy a $ 3 milkshake for checking in too! Adding to the happy dance on our way out. Can’t wait to try them again, soon!

«DING! Pick up!!!» The place is a little bit of a throwback and the menu covers just about everything under the sun. Everything except pie. Which is a touchy subject with me, so we won’t get into it here… Anytime day or night, you’ll find the waitresses running around, pouring coffee, delivering food, and making shakes. Oh yes, they make their shakes the old fashioned way. With ICECREAM! Feeling like breakfast for lunch or dinner? No problem, just about every item on the menu is available all the time. Service is quick, efficient, and friendly. If you’re a regular it gets even faster. Once day I walked in, and my drink was already there waiting for me.(Don’t know if that’s something I really need to share here…) The quality of the food is good. Sometimes there are hiccups, but the staff does their best to make things right. The manager is always around making sure you’re having a good experience. When I told him about the lack of pie, he offered me a slice of cake, on the house! I know it sounds corny, but just once i’d like to hear them all say«Kiss my grits!!»

Food is decent but I went in there today for my «go-to» Western omelette and was surprised to see it cost $ 10. Waitress said they recently had a price increase… yeah, no kidding! It’s $ 3 less just down the street(Boston Bagel). I mean, the markup on this«diner food» is getting a little out of control. I would expect these prices at the W-Hotel, poolside or room service. Throw in a side of bacon and we are looking at a $ 15 take-out cost. I could have gotten two chicken-rice bowls at Chipotle for this price. Oh well. Hope others find this helpful.

This place is very close to my work, which makes it very convenient. I usually come here when I need a fast lunch and I am by myself. Enjoyable place for a quick lunch. THEPLACE Has a old diner feel to it. I prefer to sit at the counter than at the booths. Makes the diner experience more like a diner I feel. THEFOOD The food is above your standard diner food. Probably because they don’t have your typical crazy long diner menu. The menu is limited as far as diners go, but that does not mean the menu is limited. I have tried many things on the menu and have not yet been disappointed. THESERVICE Great. They are well staffed and the waitresses are spot on. Always friendly and efficient. They are hustling around to take orders, bring food, refill drinks. I never had a mistake with any of my orders.

Last time I ate in this diner was 4 years ago. At that time the food was tasty, diner food. Now — haven’t a clue what happened. The staff appears to be all related and not very professional. While seated near the front door one of the servers came out from behind the counter to lock lips with whom I assumed was a husband or boyfriend. Our waitress was competent, albeit it quite sarcastic. As for the food — very disappointing. I had soup and salad. The salad was fresh and tasty. Unfortunately the french onion soup was quite bad. The onions were almost impossible to eat — very stringy and tough, the broth was supposed to be beef broth, but you couldn’t tell by the taste. I presume the restaurant is under new management. Although it looks the same with the exception of the name, it is dirtier(bathroom nasty), darker, dingier and the menu no longer offers the normal diner fare. I will never return to this establishment.

This place is hit or miss. I went for lunch one day and had their fish tacos. Very tasty but way too much food for me. They serve three tacos plus a side. Two would have been better. Since fish tacos don’t travel well, I picked apart the third and ate what I could. I hate wasting food but I could not possibly all three. Last night I was back here, mostly because they were still open at 9:30. I had the Baja Veggie Burger. The guacamole on it mixed with the flimsiness of the burger meant the entire thing fell apart when I picked it up. I had to open it up and use a fork to eat it. I’ve been eating veggie burgers for years now and good ones hold their shape. Apparently, they don’t buy good ones. The service is good, the people are nice, the place is clean and it’s open late. But I do think I’ll only come here as a last resort. There are plenty of places that have better food with more reasonable portions.

My mom told me about this place, so we decided to give it a try for breakfast on a Saturday. We arrived around 11am. Got seated right away by the hostess which wasn’t friendly at all. Didn’t even say anything to us just sat the menus down. Then our waitress came and she wasn’t in the best mood. She kept looking at other tables and saying«oh god» and mumbling under her breath. Anyways, I ordered a iced mocha which was very delicious. It had whipped cream and chocolate syrup on top. If you like your drinks sweet you will love it. My husband had a regular iced coffee which he said was just Ok. For breakfast I ordered the banana granola pancakes with a side of grits. You get four huge pancakes, which I could only eat one and a half and took the rest home. I had the rest later that night for dessert. The grits I didn’t really care for, they needed a lot of butter and salt. My husband had the country fried steak with two eggs over easy and a side of grits. They cooked his steak and eggs just right and they did a good job on the gravy as well. I’m giving them two stars for the simple fact that the food was good. If we would of got the happy and talkative blonde that seemed to really love her job I probably would of gave them more stars. Food was good but not so must the service so we won’t be coming back.

This was a nice little diner. Great place for what it was. It’s not trying to be a quiet fine dining place. This is joint with a grill, bar stools, and booths. And it’s very family friendly. I wouldn’t say it’s a place to bring an infant, but it’s great for kids and grown folks alike. I went there with my wife and boys. Some had pancakes. Some had burgers. Looking at the menu, I’d say they have most of what anyone would like because they have breakfast and lunch foods available all day. My patty melt was great. The burgers were great. My youngest said his chocolate chip pancakes had too many chocolate chips for his taste, lol. The server was very friendly. No complaints there. The other servers seemed to be happy and friendly enough. Milkshakes were about $ 5 each. Drinks were about $ 2.50 each. With three orders of pancakes, three different burgers, five drinks, and four milkshakes, the price came to about $ 83.

What a great find! Very friendly staff joking with all the customers and each other. A fun place to eat. I had the smothered chicken and a snickers milkshake. Both were large and tasted great. I will definitely be back

I don’t know about you, but I’ve always wanted to find somewhere with the oldies feel to it — but isn’t a complete dump. This place stole my heart. Not only was our waitress amazing and super sweet! But she was the cherry on top for our amazing milkshakes! A nice full glass of thick creamyyyy milkshakes with extra on the side! We had great entertainment with the table in front of us hitting on our waitress. But she was a great sport went along with the jokes and all. Food wise they have a great selection! Almost reminded me of a Denny’s style menu but a million times better! I ordered the buffalo wrap and boy that buffalo sauce was no joke! But didn’t stop me from shoving my face with food. I had an amazing time and I’ve passed this place a trillion times I regret never going but now that I know when I check in I’ll get a 3 $ shake oh you can bet I’ll be returning!

I always order the same exact thing every time I eat here which would either be the turkey or the buffalo panini with sweet potato fries. I love the panini itself, my only gripe would be how bland and soft the sweet potato fries are. The atmosphere is fun and old fashioned. Service is always bubbly and eager to please. No matter how busy it gets, the staff never seem overwhelmed or let it affect their service.

I literally got transported into the 1950’s by eating at this lovely joint. This restaurant reminded me of the movie Grease, where they would all go grab milkshakes and heavy on carbs burger. The diner is absolutely adorable and gives you that diner cozy nostalgia. I love Diner vibes… secretly hoping I run into John Travolta. Let’s get to the good stuff crazy enough I am at a burger joint and what do I decide to order a French Onion Soup with a side House Salad. My daughter decided to order the Bacon Cheddar Sliders and we decided to split a Strawberry Pineapple Shake… this all lead to what I call the land of Yummyness if there is such a thing. I was impressed with the side salad because typically when I order a side salad I receive this tiny little plate with a little bit of salad. This was not the case I received what I consider a huge mounting plate of salad deliciousness. The french onion soup was tasty as well. My daughters Bacon Cheddar Sliders were a huge whopping portion and will fix your burger craving. The finale of the evening was definitely the milkshake I could taste the fresh strawberries and pineapples, and the milkshake they served was a massive monstrosity of awesomeness. I had a significant amount of leftovers. By the way the food came out super fast and the staff was very sweet. Also because I checked in on this lovely thing called Unilocal I got a sweet coupon for my milkshake. If you love a good atmosphere and good food, then you have arrived at the right place in my opinion.

I went with a friend based off of several good Unilocal reviews. We ate outside on the patio, so we seated ourselves. The menu looked tasty and I was in the mood for a good burger. I ordered the original burger with cheese; which there a .99 up-charge, along with sweet potato fries which was a 1.00 up-charge. The sweet potato fries were cold when we received our meal, which they gladly brought more. We got a $ 3 offer for any milkshake per check in. However, the manager decided that it was only per table. My friend didn’t miss out on anything spectacular, the milkshake was ok; I’ve had better. Overall, I would say this experience was ok. If in the area again I most likely won’t come back.

Well I read the reviews about this diner and since I was in Fort Lauderdale for the weekend I decided to check it out. Our waitress was good but she could have done a better job with checking on us and asking if we needed more water(I did). I also wanted to check this place because there was a Unilocal offer, milkshakes for $ 3.00 which I thought was a deal. The offer says it is 1 coupon per check and I believe you have to spend at least $ 7.99. The manager refused to honor that deal claiming that they limit one coupon per table(we were a party of 2). I ordered the original burger it was just ok in my opinion with a side of sweet potato fries which were cold. The manager did gives us fresh sweet potato fries when we told her that ours were cold. The diner itself is cute, it reminded me of the diners in the 50’s. Will I come back to this place? Probably not, I don’t live in the area and I wasn’t too impressed with the service. The only thing that made my lunch good was because I ate with a friend.

Trying to find any form of food overnight in Greater Fort Lauderdale can be a chore; everything closes at 9 or 10, even on weekends, in the cypress gardens area. I was surprised to find a 24 hr Walmart and Walgreens open but as far as food goes; it all boiled to this diner. Décor outside-in is very 50’s like, the two waitresses on were very friendly and inviting, the seating booths are very wide and comfortable. I expected the food to be anything but a greasy spoon, given my other diner visits throughout the U.S. I was wrong, big time, as everything on the menu reflects greasy, add to that the milk shakes they are«famous» for. I ordered the soup and it was Campbells chicken noodle, very salty too, just like in the cans. The Greek chicken breast plate didn’t look appetizing and reminded me of TV show prison cafeteria food. I was so hungry I worked up the courage to eat it and it tasted better than it looked. What looked like disgusting mayo lathered in clumps on top of the chicken was actually feta cheese that was melted under some heater. The rice was ok but the zucchini and onion vegetables were gooey and inedible — I left them on the plate. The super friendly waitress kept refilling the soda. «A cup of ice scream to finish? It comes with your meal», she asks«No, thanks». The meal is befitting of the greasiest of greasy spoons and I can’t be sick by gravoling and pepto bismoling the rest of the night away in bed. Well at least there is a 24 hour Walgreens nearby to run over and buy the supplies; but thank god, I was spared hehe. It is almost 4am after all so don’t expect the Ritz Carlton for $ 20 including soup, dinner, taxes and Diet Coke at this diner. #NeverAgain
