I’ve been there a few times now, I haven’t had a bad thing on the menu. This time just went to get some apps and sit by their fire pit. The work edamame was a great app, heirloom salad was also just right.

S3 is such a pretty restaurant located right on the beach. Like most beachfront places it has a nice outdoor patio/seating area with lush cushions and several fire pits. I was there with a large group so I was lucky enough to try a little bit of everything. Some of my favorites were the edamame, shrimp and grits and the thick cut bacon. I ordered the tuna tower, it was ok, but the tuna was ground up into a paste like substance that really turned me off. Not sure why the chef would want to destroy such a great piece of fish when it could have easily be diced or sliced up. ?? Further more, I will avoid that on my next visit bc I love the atmosphere and the other dishes I sampled.

Come here almost once a week for the Mac and cheese and to check to see if the special on Saturday are the short rib empanadas. The food is always great and the atmosphere is out of this world so far every time I have come here there has been an awesome Dj playing great music. The outdoor fire pit is great when it’s cold and the staff is always great to help whenever there is an issue. The specialty drinks are phenomenal also and if you aren’t sure which you like they have a sampler that will give you three different drinks to try from the specialty list. Over all I will recommend S3 to anyone who asks me where to go whether it’s the weekday or weekend they always have amazing food, drinks, and service

Great dinner. Awesome service too. The location is the best on the beach in Ft. Laud. The food is amazing. Every dish is Bursting with flavor.

I ventured into this place last week and if you are from Miami/FLL, you already know it was practically snowing for us. The fire pits outside kept me warm and the view can’t be beat! It is Florida after all! The sampler cocktail was perfect(if you are as indecisive with your drinks as I am). The service was great and although the restaurant is a bit pricey, I recommend it to anyone. I tried the crunchy tuna because everything is better with mango! However, the reason this post is getting 5 stars is the brisket sliders… The mustard BBQ sauce will win over a piece of your heart, I promise.

This place could be better with a small twist pf management! It is well located at the Hilton in Ft Lauderdale… Quite good service, good food and nice ambiance:… The only reason why it does not deserve a 4.5, is for management… They do fail to impress on service to customers… They could even get negative stars on mew years eve!!! Awful… Did want to try them after and did. So my rating is based on «after»… They do have room to improve! But had a good time for the company i had… Enjoy

I really liked the Asian Pear cocktail, but the macaroni and cheese tasted like Velveeta. And it wasn’t hot. Great ambiance, especially near the fire pits. Seems like an older crowd(40+) patrons this place, but I had fun.

This is my new favorite place in Ft Lauderdale! I’m an ahi tuna enthusiast, to put it lightly, so of course I had to give the sushi bar a try. Highly recommended! Very trendy vibes with loungey seating on the deck across the street from the beach. Fun spot to go on a group dinner with the girlfriends or a date. Definitely going to bring my sister when she visits soon!

Went here a couple of weeks ago for dinner on a Saturday night. The place is inside the Hilton hotel on Fort Lauderdale beach and is chic and trendy. Unfortunately the night I was there the weather sucked and it was raining so we didn’t get to eat outside and take in the amazing view. But nonetheless we still had a great experience. They have 2 bar areas and the layout of the restaurant is great. The food was amazing. We had Brussels sprouts, grilled octopus, steak and edamame — the Brussels sprouts were my favorite. I definitely recommend. The only con is that there was a long wait even though we had a reservation. As mentioned, this restaurant is in the Hilton and they do offer valet but I’m not sure how much since I ubered.

«Great view of the beach sitting inside or outside, self-parking wasn’t difficult to find either» — TM «The Heuvos Rancheros is not worth it at $ 22: small portion of steak with about a 4oz portion» — Dave «The Crab Cake Benedict is amazing, the Hollande sauce is sweet and tangy and complimented by the layer of spinach. And to top it off, the side of potatoes makes it very hearty and filling» — C

There’s something for everyone here! You can sit inside, outside, at one of the bars, at a booth or table. I went to dinner with my two friends and the small plates were perfect for us– we shared the edamame, goat cheese balls, Yama roll, four seasons roll, dragon roll and Mac & cheese. The Mac & cheese was my favorite!

Amazing food, amazing view. I went here for a late lunch and had the grilled octopus and BBQ eel with a Riesling. My boyfriend ordered a pork sandwich(cuban style) and the caribbean roll. Everything was great. It faces the Fort Lauderdale beach so if you’re there in the daytime, try to sit outside and take in the scenery. On another note, if you are there on a Sunday, the manager makes her own Sangria and apparently it is fantastic(from other reviews). However, it is only available 2 days throughout the week because of it’s popularity.

Tapas style restaurant with South Florida flair. The drink special tonight was Sangria(made by the manager, Jen, who stopped by our table to greet us.). The excellent service continued as our waiter brought out our food in a perfectly timed manner. Each small plate was freshly prepared and delicious. The hot food was temperature appropriate and timed well. As we finished eCh plate another came out. Another manager, Tony, stopped by our table to ensure our complete satisfaction with our meal. I was impressed that, even the manager was attentive enough to our needs to clear some of our plates, while personally delivering our food. Bottom line — I highly recommend this place! Amazing food and terrific service! Perfect combo!!!

Had a Friday night late dinner here while hosting some friends from California. We decided on S3 due to the ocean view and Fort Lauderdale ambience. My friends loved the view and on a unusual windy night they were happy to have a some what cool night. Before heading to the table we were able to sit outside by the fireplace. This alone is what will keep me coming back for a drink or two. A perfect way to unwind from a stressful week. Onto the food since we were a party of eight we decided to double up on various small plates to share. Ordered : Brussle sprouts– tasty but not the best I’ve ever tasted. Brisket sliders– these were my least favorite of all ordered. My friends loved them but I was not a fan of the super sweet sauce in them. Spicy shrimp– this was my favorite they come placed on a bed of cornmeal. Perfect balance. Loved them. Mac n cheese– big fan of mac n cheese this was good but a lil bit salty non the less I kept reaching for more helpings. Lamb shanks– normally I do not order lamb because this meat is usually a miss for me but I was pleasantly surprised it was moist and good flavored. Overall a great place to unwind and have drinks but to me not a place to crave in the food department. I will return for brunch as I heard good things about it. My camera was not working so no pics to share.

What a sexy spot to stop by for the evening. The lights are so low, it’s hard to see the menu but who cares. You can hear the waves from the ocean rolling in and people watch. I celebrated a milestone birthday here and the tapas: tomato bread, sushi and shrimp features were delish. Washing that down with their real strawberry daiquiri was such a good choice. That was weeks ago and«fresh» comes to mind when I think about their food and drinks. Service was good and very attentive as well. The only dislike was the flight of mini mixed drinks. I’m not a drinker and tend to stick with wine or a prissy drink every now and then but wanted to be a big girl that night. They just weren’t good to me and after 1 sip, I realized it was a mistake. So strong with flavors that just didn’t go together. They removed it from my bill after noticing I wasn’t drinking them. I appreciate them even noticing. Another birthday along with some changes in my life were worth spending my time here for a couple hours laughing being thankful and truly happy. Come here, let your hair down and take it all in.

I came for the view, then I ate, and I wasn’t disappointed. If you don’t like family style then suck it up or find someplace else. This is the perfect place off the beach. You get the fresh ocean breeze, oceanfront view, and you can people watch. I think I saw a meth head on the street. The menu is small, which is great when you’re indecisive like me. It’s best to order family style because everything comes out when it’s ready. You also get to enjoy different items off the menu, so sharing works best. No one goes hungry, or bitches about service this way. We ordered a couple of sushi rolls, goat cheese croquettes, chicken salad, tuna tartar nachos. Sushi rolls were good, average, but I’d order it again. The goat cheese croquettes were nicely fried and gooey on the inside. It’s a bit heavy, so one is more than enough. The salad was refreshing, and much needed on a hot day. Tuna tartare nachos gets its own paragraph. Melt your pants off good. Okay, I don’t know how that would work, but that’s how I felt. Crispy, light, and flavorful. That’s the magic combination. Service was great! We had the most adorable 2 year old having lunch with us and she needed a few extras, which the server was more than accommodating. I’d definitely recommend this place!

Came to S3 for dinner on a Thursday night with a group of 6. We really wanted to sit outside but were told it was an hour wait; but, they were able to sit us immediately at a table in the bar area. Our server explained the concept behind the restaurant — the food is meant to be shared and comes out in waves as it’s ready. We totally understood this but everyone wanted to order their own dish and some appetizers to share. We ended up ordering a variety including three things on special. The list consisted of a sushi dish with mango, shrimp on corn cakes(3 orders) and short rib empanadas, a rainbow roll, mac n cheese and goat cheese croquettes. The empanadas, nachos and croquettes came out first. All three were really good. The red chili guava sauce served with the croquettes mellowed out the richness of the goat cheese. We actually finished two orders of them because the kitchen made an extra on accident and they let us have it for free. Next out was the mac n cheese, followed a few minutes later by the mango sushi dish. Again we loved both dishes. The mac n cheese has smoked gouda and prosciutto served in a little cast iron skillet. Really creamy and delicious. At this point the only thing left was the rainbow roll, which was someone’s main dish. Everyone else had been served and were finished with their meals. We asked our server about it and she explained that they were hand crafted when ordered and that sushi usually took a little longer. We completely understood but we were going on an hour waiting for her dish. We had received sushi ordered at the same time and the table beside us, which sat down 20 minutes after us, had received their sushi. Finally the roll came out and she said it was just average. Not worth waiting an hour for. They did remove it from the bill since it took so long. All in all the food was great, service was really good(not the waitress’s fault it took so long) and the décor is beautiful. I would return and sit outside to take advantage of the beach view in the future. Just not sure if I’d order sushi again.

Fabulous dining experience — especially for a group of ten! As a CT local, I didn’t expect to be dining outside in the complete dark because of turtle nesting season(ya learn something new every day) but the candles made for a lovely dinner party ambiance… and dining oceanside makes it all worth it! Ever the indecisive diner, I loved being able to order a sampler of S3’s signature cocktails and chose the Thai coconut crush, berry mojito, and green geisha(cucumber vodka, green tea, lemongrass and basil). All so summery and lovely. For dinner, we nibbled on a variety of apps and shared entrees — standouts included the lemon ricotta spread(soooo good), tuna tower with wasabi guacamole, and pork belly. Despite the number in our party, service was fine(and helpful in splitting checks) and price was about what I expected.

Great location for a girls night out or a large group of friends! It’s on Ocean Drive, right on the beach, so it’s a great spot to stop by and check out after a day on the beach. The outside décor definitely caught my eye, and the restaurant is brand new and fun. The have lots of small plates– all kinds of unique stuff. We ordered a bunch and shared– the smoked brisket sliders were perfect! Rosemary frittes were also delicious, my friend also loved the Zellwood fired corn. They also had sushi– i’m a huge sushi fan so I was really cynical about the quality. We split the crispy crab shrimp roll anyway and it was delicious! Great food, great atmosphere!
