I ate 3 meals here while staying at the Sun Tower Hotel. The food was very good, though not outstanding. The location was perfect and the service was exceptional.

The best kept secret on Fort Lauderdale beach. They have the best burgers and fresh fish dinners. The staff is the best in town.

Strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone staying near by! It is right on the ocean and has a laid back sweet atmosphere. Super casual dining and great food for a friendly price. Service is wonderful.

Love this place! Breakfast bowl was 2 meals. I got it with no meat so they offered to crumble a black bean burger and I asked for their Chipotle sauce on the side. Yowza… excellent choice… out of this world yummerz!!!

Great place to eat while on the beach! My friend stayed here and I came over every day to «hang on the beach» with her. We ate here every day and were never disappointed. Jackie, Kimberly, and Angel were amazing. Very attentive and made exactly what we wanted. The food was excellent. Great view on the beach. Covered seating for when it’s raining and again amazing service.

Wow this place is a hidden gem. You have to go through the hotel to find this beach restaurant but the ambiance is beautiful, quiet and pleasant. Service and food were great. Can’t beat $ 8 tall large frozen cocktails on the beach.

My friend and I were staying at the Pelican Grand right next door to this place and were looking for something close and quick for lunch when we first arrived. We loved sitting on the deck! My friend had the shrimp lettuce wraps — delicious! The flatbreads and the BLT sandwich are also very good! The fries are some of my all time favorite! Their white sangria is amazing! Our waitress Jackie was beyond welcoming and friendly. She’s part of the reason we decided to go back a second time. Would definitely recommend this place!

This place is right next door to The Pelican Grand Resort, where we’re staying. Hard to find in be back of the little condo complex. One waitress and about 15 tables. Right on the beach, which is great. Service was friendly. Food was good. I had the fish tacos and wife had the Mediterranean flatbread. My sweet potato fries were the best part of the meal. Really good. Pros: close to our hotel, right on the beach, price was nice too — meal plus desert $ 35.

The scenery is unbeatable however the host and hostess were beyond rude and the food was mediocre. The omelet was dry and the potatoes nothing special, but my family seemed to enjoy the oatmeal. Our waitress was a doll and did make up for the extremely poor service we received inside. All in all I would go back for drinks but the overpriced mediocre food is nothing to write home about.

My husband and I couldn’t check into our hotel yet. So we ate breakfast here. It was delicious and the portions were huge! The steak and eggs are cooked just the way you like them! Pancakes were fluffy with a terrific flavor. The staff is awesome here! Jackie and Kim kept drinks coming for us. Jackie even got us chairs on the beach while we waited for our room. This is definitely a place to visit when on the beach.

This place is fine for a casual lunch or dinner. I give it an extra star for being right on the sand on central Ft Lauderdale Beach. We were staying next door at Pelican Grand and their restaurant menu is very formal for dinner — we wanted a burger and didn’t feel like driving so we walked next door. Servers are very friendly and welcoming. We ordered a cheese burger a hot dog and a flatbread. All were fine. Beer or wine here only. On Saturday night when we were there they offered a bottle of Canyon Creek? Wine for ½ price — so it was $ 12.50 for a bottle of wine on a beach front.

Located right on the sand! Come here if you are looking for a quiet place to relax and get some tasty food. This place by far is the best low key beach front restaurant I have found in Ft Lauderdale. I ordered the Maine lobster wrap which was very well executed and my boyfriend ordered the Buffalo flatbread and fish tacos which he enjoyed. The fish tacos and Maine lobster wrap both had large pieces of meat. The service here was on point and the views are just incredible. We came here on a Saturday evening and the place was not packed which was nice. We will definitely be adding this place to our top 10 dining list here in Fort Lauderdale. It is a rarity to find a restaurant located right on the sand as they are becoming few and far between.

Come here for the ocean view and the convenience(if you’re staying at the hotel) but certainly not for the food. The food here isn’t bad here per say, it’s just fine and about what you’d expect for a hotel restaurant. Expect to pay about $ 15-$ 18, even for a lunch entrée such as a sandwich, overpriced and mediocre. Service was okay, our server seemed overwhelmed even during a Tuesday lunch, but was very kind and as accommodating as possible. The best place about this place is obviously the location, especially since if you’re staying at Pelican Grand, you’ll soon realize there isn’t much nearby, save for the beach. This restaurant fortunately is a stone’s throw away from the beach, and the view is gorgeous, but doesn’t have much else going for it.

Mark the bartender here was a complete asshole. He was So unconcerned for anything we wanted. This guy should not be in customer service. My husband actually tried to ask this bartender where he was from and shake his hand to break the ice and the guy wouldn’t even shake my husbands hand. I have honestly never witnessed such outright rude behavior. My husband is such a people person I was truly shocked that we were getting such awful service. I have never reviewed service this bad. It’s one thing that the drinks suck here but add the BS service… you couldn’t pay me to go here.

Don’t believe the hype. Was excited to eat here after reading the reviews yesterday. I had run passed this place a hundred times and was always curious, but I never seriously considered stopping by. I should have followed my instincts. All you Sandbar loyalists, don’t hunt me down and beat me. This place is good for a couple happy hour beers or a cheap glass of fine and a salty fried snack as you gaze at the ocean. If you try to go beyond that, you’re likely be let down too. Setting: oceanfront. Nice. Beautiful! If you don’t get awe-inspired looking at the ocean, then just go the F home. I firmly believe that. But add in a messy patio, uncleared tables, and a pervasive sense of disorganization and your enthusiasm may wane like the outgoing tide. Drinks: Cheap. $ 3 beers and $ 6 house wines. Nothing crazy or innovative here, but I’m not a snobby drinker. Totally fine. Food: Ugh. All the reviews used words like«great» and«amazing». Um… no. Oysters: $ 7 ½ dozen on Mondays got me excited. Gross. GROSS!!! Big, dried out gulf monsters with a texture so disagreeable, it ended up in my napkin. If they were freshly-shucked, I Would be shocked. French Fries: straight off the back of a Sysco truck, but ok. Buffalo Flatbread: Heavy & over-salty. Fish Tacos: Pretty good, but they’re not gonna change your life. Service: I got«sweetie», «baby», and«honey» to death, But it’s a casual and unpretentious place. I was fine with it. Ultimately, I would put it on your bar crawl list, but if you want good casual food and a view of the water, I would say Coconut and Shooters and far better bets.

Looking for a non pretentious enviable oceanview & beach place in Fort Lauderdale to get some drinks and some food while enjoying yourself or the company of good friends? Try the deck at sandbar grille. Sandbar grille has a two level’s deck, being the beach and sea completely reachable just a few stairs steps below the lower deck. A great setting that let’s you appreciate in all splendor the atlantic ocean while the fresh breeze graciously caress your body, mind and soul. In the night, the sky is beautiful with stars all scattered along everywhere, and because the place is not in the main strip, but in a calmer, quieter sector, there are not heavy lights that obscure the star brightness, thus yielding way to a delightful spectacle for your senses. Definitively just this view makes SBG an ideal place to relax and let go. –or because the place is a hotel/restaurant/bar you could also go and have a good chat and drinks with friends too, though for a date i would say that ocean2000 would be better suited– your take. Food is good.(This time there aren’t photos because my cel died before i could shoot my usual fare) but i tried the fish tacos with portuguese chips and was a decent option. Worthy to mention the chips were a perfect side, spicy and tasty, not greasy and were a good add for the tacos(order has three good sized tacos) Also tried the seared tuna steak, it was ok, but nothing memorable. They have a beer menu with the most commercial brands, nothing fancy or craft brews there, but you can adjust and survive without a problem, unless you are a beer geek of course. Service was good. Olivia made sure everything was deliveres in time and took proper care of the table. So no complains here. A good thing is that you can arrive either via the hotel or the public beach and use the metered parking. I went in a wednesday around seven after wandering around the beach, and the deck was not crowded at all so i had a great time without waiting period. Not sure if i would have the same experience if seated inside or outside but not in the main front deck, but this time i really enjoyed being there.

The view here is amazing. The deck is right on the sand. The waitress service is spotty, but you can always go up to the bar and order your drink. Beer and wine only. Mixed drinks are made with wine. They have a few inside tables. The facility is clean. You can park in the front, and confirm with the front desk clerk or there are meters nearby $ 1.25/hour. This is a great place to take out-of-towners for the view. Prices are reasonable.

Food– 5⁄5 stars Service– 3⁄5 stars Views of the beach– priceless There is something quite liberating about the fresh salty air blowing through your hair, and the warm Florida sun kissing your skin all the while enjoying wonderful food with even more wonderful company. I am completely honest when I say that everything I tried here was consistently solid. Vacationing here for 5 days, it was the most convenient option for a meal at least once a day. That being said, I tried a good part of the menu. The fish tacos, flatbreads, wraps, and tropical salad were the faves for me. And the fries! The best! Perfectly crispy. The breakfast flatbread was my absolute favorite. We did have a few run ins with a waitress who was a bit rude, but by the end of the week we were able to soften her up a bit. The food is a little more on the pricer side, however completely outweighed by the convenience of it all. Even if you weren’t a guest of the hotel, this place would be a great spot to enjoy the beautiful beach views!
