Sound Advice

I was in the market for a new pair of speakers — Monitor Audio Gold 200s. They are a new upgrade to the GX series. I usually buy from Crutchfield in Charlottesville, VA but they have not received this new line of speakers yet. So after a brief internet search, I called Sound Advice and spoke to Scott to find out if they had the speakers and whether or not they ship to the DC area. Yes and yes. I spend a good 30 minutes with Scott getting the full run down on my speakers. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. It was a real pleasure to work with. The price he offered me was excellent and shipping was free. I have been shopping around for these speakers for weeks and knew what the going price was. He even arranged to have them shipped from the distributor/​importer vice Sound Advice’s warehouse as it would get to me sooner. Suffice it to say that I will buy from Sound Advice again.

I purchased a 5.1 Martin Logan surround sound system from Sound Advice, as well as a piece of AV furniture. They gave me a great deal on my speakers, and one of their salesman was nice enough to drive the furniture piece to my house for free. These guys are total audio geeks and you can tell they´re really passionate about what they do. They have become my ¨go to¨ for anything home theater.

I bought a Marantz 6008 and had excellent experience. People there are very knowledgeable and are willing to work with wide variety of budgets/​entertainment goals. They also have a super extensive inventory ranging from home entertainment to mobile/​marine audio. I definitely will be shopping there in future!

Can’t say enough good things about their mobile audio department. First by way of background I was very concerned about having my nearly new Genesis taken apart for speaker and amplifier installation. All the staff were patient and understanding. Joseph Colasanti, my salesman went above and beyond. his knowledge of integrating my OEM system, complicated as it was, with a JL amp and speakers was impressive. My concerns about the installation were unnecessary. Pedro and John did a fantastic job fabricating in house a few needed pieces. No scratches, no rattles. discussed with me a few options for mounting subwoofer remote. Just the cleanest, perfect installation I could have hoped for. Finished exactly on time as promised.

I contacted Sound Advice to inquire about a custom television and sound system installation for my new home on Fort Lauderdale Beach. The sales representative, Walter, made a site visit to access my needs. During this consultation he efficiently and promptly gathered enough information to be able to propose an installation that met my budgetary requirements as well as my video and sound preferences. Within 24 hours he completed a written proposal that was thorough and well priced. Two weeks later he dispatched an installation team that can only be described as flawless. The team of Kevin and Eric worked nonstop for two days to deliver a system that surpassed my expectations. As questions came up during the installation, they obtained answers and explanations on the spot. Particularly refreshing was that the installers and the sales representative had a continuing dialogue that was pleasant and direct. They worked together as a team.
I would highly recommend Sound Advice to anyone desiring a custom installation of audio and video. I am not exaggerating when I say that this was one of the best experiences I have ever had in a major purchase.
