Great friendly service! You order at the counter but they do serve your food to you. Complimentary fresh corn chips and salsa while you wait with several homemade salsas. Small guacamole was good for two and very fresh and tasty. Incredible homemade enchilada with choice of two meats or protein and it was delicious! Every time I come here I am amazed how good the food is, and will continue to come back.

I don’t know how I’ve never reviewed this place, since I think I go here at least once a week for lunch. Okay, here’s a ridiculous fact to point out — I think I’ve been here well over 20 times, but I’ve only ever ordered the same thing every time! So, if you’re in the mood for an amazing shrimp taco(I’ve only ever had them soft flour — I guess when I find something I like I stick to it!), head over to Whole Enchilada. You will not be disappointed with their«Skrimp Tacos» — oh, the sauce alone is heavenly. The size of the shrimp is also quite good — and they’re also pretty fresh. Also, get a side of queso with the chips — delish!

Fresh and filling! First time in here and everything was delicious! The customer service was excellent as well. I went with the many raving reviews and ordered the shrimp tacos. Holy guacamole they’re good. Over flowing with shrimp, avocado, and cheese. I topped mine with some roasted tomato salsa, cilantro, and jalapeños from the salsa bar. The tacos come with a generous portion of chips. The other half got the shrimp burrito and is raving about the chipotle sauce. The last few bits of a burrito tend to be tortilla and mush, but this monster burrito has shrimp down to the last bite. Also served with a side of chips. The two of us shared the small size of quest and it was more than enough! Also recommend the salsa verde for dipping! Service was superb, speedy, and food was awesome!

I’m hooked on TWE. They’re food is excellent as well as their customer service. Wait time for to go orders was less than 5 minutes. Can’t beat that. I will definitely be a customer for life.

On my first visit I ordered ground beef tacos and loved them. Then I returned expecting to enjoy a great burrito… But was really disappointed. I ordered the chicken burrito. I was disgusted with the chicken. It seemed like the scraps you would throw out when trimming a piece of chicken(tendons and greasy fat bits) and it was VERY rubbery. I think the chicken must have been microwaved due to the texture. The black beans didn’t appear to be strained so that taste dominated the entire thing. I threw out the burrito and the queso I ordered. The queso was very watery and curdled. It looked so bad that I didn’t even try it. I would not order anything other than chips(awesome) and salsa(also awesome and many varieties to choose from). Perhaps another beef taco would be decent although I will probably look for another restaurant where the quality is better!

Fast Mexican is my favorite meal! This place is small, but quickly gets your food out and sits the next group so it isn’t a problem. I had two steak tacos and they were delicious. The guac was also stupendous. It is similar to Zona Fresca or Lime, but with less of a «chain» feel. If you like fresh Mexican food, give this place a try!

Love the Fish Tacos.(Crispy, Fish One, Mango salsa.) So yummy. My children like it too, although I confess as a mom I am not always crazy about the videos that they have on in the restaurant. Very good casual food, fun salsa bar, outdoor seating. Great casual place for a quick meal or a family dinner!

The spot is on Federal Highway with it’s own parking lot. I had the quesadilla. The food was bland so poured on the mango salsa and that brought my food to life. I ordered guacamole and chips and received old browning avocado. I couldn’t eat the guacamole as it was beginning to sour. Not a great experience and will not be returning.

Mango salsa! Smooth, creamy, tangy… what more can I ask for to go along with a well-marinated steak burrito. You can also opt for the«Go Green» option which converts your burrito into a salad bowl. Portions are generous, salad leafs are fresh, and the accompanying tortilla chips were also well made. Wait times were a little longer than average but I reckon it was because I was there during the lunch wait. Will return for more salsa!

Was not what I expected. I really thought it would be good. I had the chicken burrito which was OK but the thing that killed the experience was the saltiest guacamole I’ve ever tasted in my life. It’s either someone messed up on the guac recipe or they need to remove the salt altogether. They did however give some tortilla chips which would’ve good if only I had an at least decent guac to dip them in. Don’t think I’ll be eating here again. I’ll stick with Chipotle or a local Mexican place.

Steph is an all star! I wish I knew names of the back house, because they rock as well! We always get great service, tasty food and the wallet stays in good form too. We’ve tried other locations, but this one has the best food and staff for sure. Thank you for being affordable and service oriented. Thumbs up!

As a native of Juarez Mexico, I have been looking for a decent restaurant in south Florida that serves the food of my people. I have finally found that place. I ordered a chicken quesadilla on a whole wheat tortilla and it transported me back it time when I was a little niño sitting in abuela’s cocina. The blend of cheese meat and salsa had me reminiscing about a childhood in my homeland that I haven’t been able to so vividly remember in 26 años. Whether you’re a Jew from Boca, a full blooded Mexican American like myself or a gringo with questions about your gender identity and sexuality. The Whole Enchilada has something on the menu to satisfy you… And the prices are very good as well. In addition the staff are muy Bonita!!! I will finish this review with something my abuelita used to say to me «La Comida Es muy buena!»

Small place. Order at the counter, very nice young girl explained everything to us. Orered the Mahi taco on two different type shell, one corn & the other was flour. Not bad plus a small sized guacamole. They had the new type soda/water machine. They bring the meal to you but it’s a fast food place @ least to me not bad.

Came here for lunch with some colleagues. Got here just in time for the lunch rush. His is a very casual taco bar place. You order before you sit. We ordered the guacamole, shrimp tacos and chicken quesadilla. I ordered one of the shrimp tacos and you get two for $ 8.99. I chose soft flour and Crispy flour. The soft was normal but the crispy flour was different. It reminded me of a deep fried flour tortilla. I can only compare it to the same texture of a flauta at tiajuana flats. I personally didn’t care for it. The first bit the shell crumbled and now I was eating a salad. The shrimp was fresh and seasoned very well. This was the number one thing they recommended. It was good, just disappointed since they told me it was amazing. Being a guacamole pro I wasn’t impressed. Though it was fresh, they either are missing key ingredients or lightly seasoned it. First time I didn’t finish the whole serving. The chips they give are your standard store bought tortilla. Not bad, but nothing I would buy again. I tried my friends quesadilla and that is was was the most impressive. The chicken was seasoned well and cooked perfectly and it taste like they use a muti cheese mixture. I’d go back.

Oh really, another«Mexican Restaurant?» was what I normally think when I see these places popping up everywhere. However, the ‘whole enchilada’ is really all the ‘enchilada’ you could want, and a bag of chips! They have great burritos, delicious chips, excellent salsa bar, bad ass tacos and Unilocal check-in offers. All for a price that won’t break the bank. Jeeze, I sound like a commercial. Hey, I tell it like it is. Most recently, I had two soft shell, corn flour, shrimp tacos that come with free chips and salsa. Paired with the Unilocal check-in offer, it came to around $ 7. $ 7 for a decent meal of shrimp tacos? I was thinking, «Where am I, Taco Bell?» And then I tasted the Tacos. Holy crap, these tacos were legit. Dump some of the sweet salsa on them with a generous helping of hot sauce, and you’re in for a heck of a taco. Overall, the two tacos and chips were not that filling. But, as far as quality and value, it’s hard to beat.

Ooooh this place might be giving my beloved Chipotle some competition! After reading so many stellar reviews on this place and seeing some delectable pictures, I told Sam we had to go. Turns out he’s been wanting to try this place for a while. We went on a Friday evening after an hour workout at the gym– we were starving! I ordered the Fah-hee-tah Barita– it came with fire roasted peppers, onions, rice, black beans, cheese, salsa, avocado lettuce and sour cream and steak. Sam ordered the One of Those which came with Jack and cheddar cheese, salsa and guacamole and steak. My burrito was HUGE(because it had rice and beans in it) and Sam’s was regular sized. Both burritos came with free chips which meant trips to the salsa bar! Every single salsa that I tried was amazing. I especially loved the mango salsa. My burrito was super tasty. I’m not the biggest fan of rice and beans, so if I ever got the Fah-hee-tah Barita again I would ask them to take those off. Sam’s burrito was delicious! It wasn’t as filling as mine, but it tasted awesome. I might order his the next time I go. We also ordered queso and chips(8oz bowl). Jeez was that queso good! I live for white cheese queso. Man, The Whole Enchilada provided us such a tasty meal, and the best thing about it was how inexpensive it was! My meal was just over $ 8, Sam’s was just under $ 8, and the queso was $ 5… We were beyond full and it only cost us $ 21! Such a deal! Can’t wait to come back.

My sister and I were going out for dinner and I wanted fish tacos. She won’t eat them. We needed a place with variety. This is it. She had an enchilada platter I had the fish tacos. I couldn’t decide between flour and corn tortillas and the server suggest I try one of each. Great idea. Now I know. Corn tortillas fall apart. Stick with flour. The salsas are out of this world. Try the mango. That’s my favorite. On fish tacos, it’s amazing. We had a great time, and a good dinner for a reasonable price. The only downside(and lost one star) was that the soda machine was not working. I don’t drink soda but that’s also the ice dispenser and the warm sweet tea was not all that refreshing.

Laidback tex mex spot in Oakland Park serving up fresh, fast food to order w/picnic tables out front. I came here for a quick bite during lunch(I work down the block so I finally came by) and loved the service right off the bat. Jessica was totally on top of things even through the hectic lunch hour w/orders flying. She was super friendly and moved at lightening speed to process orders, deliver orders and refill the salsa bar-I was impressed! My favorite off the menu was actually a special: mexican street tacos they served on Cinco de Mayo– should be on the regular menu it’s SOGOOD.
