Never have your prescriptions ready when they say they will. A waste of your time CVS up the road is much better. This is a bum hangout.

My only reason for reviewing this Walgreens is to point out that it is one of the Walgreens that does have a liquor store attached which is something that somewhat sets it apart from other Walgreens. Also being just across A1A from the Gault Ocean Mile complex of high rise condos, it is far better stocked with suntan lotion and as other beach necessities than most. Also, on the funny side, I couldn’t help but notice that they seem to carry far more Preparation H and other hemorrhoidal creams than do other Walgreens, though that isn’t some I ordinarily take note of. One of the employees noting my apparent expression of amazement about it, inquired if she could help, so I asked why so much hemorrhoidal cream? Like is there some localized or neighborhood outbreak of hemorrhoids? Laughingly she told me «Oh no, you don’t understand, that’s what the old women from New Jersey use to reduce the big bags from under their eyes when sunbathing.» I’m sorry I asked. LOL! Other than those factors, which in fact do sort of make it different, it’s pretty much the same as any other larger Walgreens.

They get five stars because it’s the only place in the area that sell my cigarettes!!! Lol! And the pharmacy staff rock best around!

Spacious, well stocked, well lit, and open 24⁄7. Oddly, has an attached Walgreen’s liquor store(!), unfortunately not open 24 hours. The context: I’m taking a long weekend in gay Ft. Lauderdale, and airline carry-on restrictions have limited liquids in carry-on bags. At the Walgreen’s register, I said to the young woman, «Do you have condoms and lubricant?» «No,» she says. «What do you need that for?» «To make water balloons,» I said, thinking she’s teasing me. «Oh,» she says with a straight face, «No, we don’t.» Three days later, I’m still confused…
