Pretty good ramen. Nothing great but not bad either. Their original broth ramen lacks flavor in my opinion. The soy ramen broth was much better(only half an egg but double pork). Pork buns were ok, lots of spicy mayo. Had the«set» with the curry rice(this was good!). I’d definitely go again but order the soy ramen instead or try a new one. The place is small and quaint. The staff is nice and efficient. There aren’t a lot of tables so have your food so others aren’t waiting too long. I found out they deliver so I’ll try that soon!

This review is strictly based on delivery only. I never ate in the restaurant but have been ordering delivery during lunch at work. 1. It’s a nice treat to be able to get ramen delivered or take out in the area. But I do notice that since delivery order is only accepted thru seamless, they are priced higher than what’s advertised as regular menu price. 2. Ordered miso ramen, spicy miso ramen & few pork buns. Love that they are mindful enough to pack noodles & broth separately. You can select additional toppings such as extra pork slices, corn, etc for additional price. Pork buns are soft and not skimpy. Meat is soft with slight charing on the surface. Spicy sauce is just right & tangy. 3. As complimentary service, they included a scoop of green tea ice cream but with 3 orders of ramen, we always end up with 1 scoop of ice cream… hum. Think they want us to play ‘paper scissor rock’ for it. lol. Order is usually delivered in timely manner and quality has been consistent. May not be the best ramen but definitely not above average compared to most delivery places.

We have been going back for a while now and everything was great. There was this younger super friendly brown hair korean waitress we normally see and she is great. But today early afternoon 1÷18÷16 we had another terrible experience. The only waitress there is older and was probably new but we ended up leaving because we waited so long for our order to be taken. The restaurant was full but most of the other patrons already had their food. We had a party of 4 and waited for 15 minutes for a table. The wait should have been shorter since there was a table that finished their food and were waiting for the waitress to ask for their check. Another party of 2 arrived after us and were seated before us because the waitress decided to setup their table first when both sets of tables were empty. After receiving the menus the waitress did not return at all. We even asked for her twice and made eye contact, yet she would clean up and setup another table instead of taking our order. We asked for her a few times and she never came by to take our order. She took orders for other tables and spent time entering them instead of taking our order she also let other new customer that came and seating?! I would think it is common sense to take orders first since it takes time for the kitchen to prepare the food. We got fed up after wait another 15 – 20 minutes all these times we would have finish our meal half way already. We left and ate ramen in other restaurant.

Food is okay but their delivery service is extremely lacking and thus the one star. Normally, I’d give them a three star rating as their service is just okay. Called for delivery at 8PM and at 8:50, I give them a call back since nothing has arrived. They told me that they tried calling me multiple times and the phone just rang to tell me that they don’t deliver after 8PM… wait… I called at 8PM… you couldn’t tell me that on the phone at the initial conversation!!! Secondly, there were NO missed calls or messages. so who knows… Either way, if you want Ramen… Go to Batten Ramen. they may not deliver but at least you know the Ramen is better, the service is better and the portions are bigger. I won’t be coming back here.

Not impressed. Their food is so-so. You want good ramen? Take an extra minute or two to drive to Menya Sandeime, across from Café Bene. The broth here is a bit too salty and the noodles were a bit too hard. The seaweed salad is hard to mess up and the gyoza was fine. Nothing to rave about here. Didn’t try the buns but most of the other tables were mmm-ing while wolfing them down, so perhaps that’s a good dish to get here which isn’t offered at certain other ramen spots in this neighborhood. I KNOW ramen — been having it all throughout the years. The ramen competition is REAL, and it’s happening across the river on our side, too. This doesn’t take top spot or even close.

Great atmosphere, and workers there do their job very quick. So it was very similar to what ramen places in Japan. Customers come and go all the time type of restaurant. I had spicy miso ramen. Hardness of noodle was just right, and noodle was curvy so it gets more flavor from soup. The soup was just right. Overall, i really enjoyed it until I got a check. The price on weekend is ridiculously expensive. Because ramen is like fast food for us, it should be cheaper. That is minus one star. Go visit there during the week days if you can. They have cheaper price I believe.

I love Setagaya Ramen! The Hiroshi pork buns are sooo soft and tender, they do a great job with them. The ramen is also delicious, I always get the Miso Ramen and each time it is excellent. The pork in it is amazing, the egg is super soft and runny, and the vegetables are crisp and fresh. The pork is really good though, one of the better roasted pork I’ve had in ramen. I’ll often add corn and make it Sapporo style. They have table seating and counter seating, like most Japanese restaurants. Its also a nice little feeling coming up to Bergen County for Asian food. The Fort Lee/Palisades/Edgewater area really does Japanese/Asian food so damn well. Other than a few unique gems in the city(Ippudo), I think Bergen county does Japanese much better.

I got the original ramen. I walked in thinking I could get the lunch special but it was a Saturday afternoon and its only valid on weekdays. I really should read and understand more. The ramen came out fast but it was just ok in my opinion Nothing really made the ramen here stand out but it was salted with a heavy hand.

The soup was luke warm and tasted nothing like Setagaya in Japan. They just borrow their name.

Great place for flavorful ramen without having to go into the city! It’s always a delightful to find a good ramen place without having to cross the bridge! This was the perfect sweater weather dinner for a chilly Fall night! Friendly staff and casual ambiance! We got the Hiroshi buns and the spicy miso ramen, they were both flavorful and hearty!

Easily the most authentic Japanese ramen in the area. I can understand how some people like the other ramen shops as their broths are heavier and saltier. Setagaya provides nicely balanced broths with fresh toppings. The pork is nicely grilled and seasoned. The eggs are soft boiled which add a nice touch. Overall, it’s my go to place for Ramen!

Best ramen place in Fort Lee, even beats out some of the city places. The broth isn’t overwhelmingly salty and the noodles were chewy. The portions are reasonable. I satisfied my ramen craving without paying the GW toll. ‘Nuff said.

This street is set along the up and coming«downtown» Main Street of Fort Lee. I like the nice, modern décor, and when you walk in, the staff yells the traditional«Irasshaimase!»(Welcome). The place was practically empty, yet I felt the waitress continued pushing me to sit in the corner. Normally when there is so much room, they tell you, «please sit anywhere you’d like.» Second thing is, it seemed to take 10 – 15 minutes to get my shio ramen(salt), yet when a girl sat down next to me and said rudely, «Is this going to take long?,» and she also seemed quite mean when she ordered what she did or did not want on her ramen — she received her ramen right away. Should I become more rude to get faster service? As for the food, I thought the ramen looked wonderful, but the broth didn’t taste that great. It was too oily and bland. The pork was pretty good, but they didn’t give much pork. They give you two halves of a half-boiled egg, which is more than normal. The gyoza was perfectly crispy and delicious. Overall: ramen was ok, a bit bland and oily, the service was not great, and the gyoza was awesome.

I had the miso ramen. Average. I was expecting better. Soup just had no depth. Noodle was okay but I think the soup ruined it. Chashu was okay. I want to like this place so I’ll give it another try, but this was a 2.5.

Not bad but not great, came in for lunch while at a nearby project site and the restaurant was about half full. Service was quick and friendly, restaurant was nicely decorated but the most important element was just not there for me, their ramen. I ordered the Shio ramen bowl and found it a bit on the saltier side. Usually this can be a failed attempt at upping flavor via seasoning but the execution definitely wasn’t there. The noodles themselves were good but the entire bowl wasn’t the home run I was anticipating. I can give this place another shot for sure down the line.
