This is a cool spot for a little day trip. We didn’t stay overnight but had a great time there. First we loaded our kayaks at the marina and kayaked around the river running through the Ocala National Forest. Saw a baby gator and several turtles. Once we were done, being able to kayak over and tied up to snorkel in the beautiful, clear Salt Springs was perfect! It was a great swimming hole. Don’t forget the snorkel gear as there are a lot of fish to see and several springs. I am looking forward to going back!

Great little state park, cold water and several springs. It is not the best spring but is is a good family place to cool off on a hot summer day. really cool to snorkel around and look at the big mullet and Bass.
