Food was terrible. Typical MWR fast food garbage. This is an excellent example of why government always does things less efficiently than the private sector.

(04/11/2013) Space was a touch tight for 100 people, although specs say they can take more. For events at the conference center(former clubhouse of the golf course) food is provided by the small cafeteria kitchen there. Dining room is open daily with a standard American fare menu(chicken sandwich, burger, fries, etc.). Water pressure was low or non-existent when we were there, made for some«murky» looking water for flushing(shudder to think about the handwash sink water. Bathrooms are unisex and not clean at all. Bonus: patio seating. «Country Buffet» sounded better than it was: fried chicken(crispy, well-seasoned); rubber ribs in a sauce that tasted like beans ‘n’ franks; canned collards(desperately needed salt and hot sauce); powdered potatoes(you’ve had them, they’re just OK); brown gravy probably from a Knorr’s or McCormick mix. The space is reasonably priced and let’s just say security on the grounds is top notch.
