It’s taken me way too long for me to write a review of Ella Art Bakery. Ella did our wedding cake nearly two years ago. This is one business that if I could give 6 stars, I would. My wife found a picture of wedding cake in an online bridal magazine that she really liked. It was no bigger than two square inches. My wife emailed her the photo and we met her for a brief cake tasting. She has a very small shop just across the railroad tracks in historic, but small, downtown Fort Mill. We let Ella know what we wanted which was a three level cake with three different flavors, including strawberry filling in one of the layers. Ella’s price was very fair. It was actually way less than we expected, but when we saw and tasted the cake, we knew our money was well spent. We had our wedding and reception within walking distance from her shop. She still charged a delivery fee, but she did have to bring the cake over, set it up, and have the requested waterfalls running near it. Even with the delivery fee, the price was still very reasonable. Now, onto the cake itself. It was, by far, the highlight of the wedding. The cake looked EXACTLY like the picture we gave her. It was not only the best wedding cake I ever had, it was, by far, the best cake I ever had. My sister-in-law absolutely hates wedding cake and loved this one. My niece didn’t stop talking about it for weeks. It was just so moist, fresh, and flavorful. We haven’t needed a custom-made cake for anything since the wedding, but if we do, Ella Art will be the only choice. She does serve the entire Charlotte area, so if you you are in the market for a cake, especially a wedding cake, give her a chance.
