Amazing work. We had a 2 layer cake made up of Skylanders Trap Team. Bottom was chocolate and the top was vanilla. They delivered on time and it was beyond our expectations. Thank you, Sheila

This is a really cute bakery that offers breakfast and lunch in a quaint old house. We only got bakery items to go, but they were delicious! The éclair and peanut butter cupcake are seriously amazing! We will definitely go back!

Fantastic mother & daughters bakery!!! Everything is made from scratch onsite. Get there early as they quickly sell out. They’re also offering high teas parties by appointment.

Overall this place is great! Seriously, who doesn’t like an old house converted into a business?! It’s amazing! The owner is very friendly and super patient. She took the time to explain the lunches, different kinds of cupcakes and about their tea parties. The cupcakes were very good. The cake itself was very fresh and moist. The frosting was a bit too sweet for my taste and I really prefer more of a cream cheese flavor in my cream cheese frosting. The texture was also a bit on the gritty side. I think they would have the best cupcakes around if they could fine tune the frosting. It just needs a bit of work. We will definitely be back to experience their high tea and possibly a birthday party.

Fabulous bakery in Fort Mill! Cakes are made from scratch and with lots of love. Everything I’ve had here is wonderful and tastes amazing. Cupcakes are dense yet light at the same time without falling apart while eating. Frosting is homemade and plentiful without being too much or too sweet. Favors like Andes mint and carrot cake are my favorite!

I don’t usually leave Unilocal reviews but after reading some of the ridiculous statements left in previous ones, I thought I would give it a try. My first experience with Z Bakery was on a weekend shortly after they first opened. The business was actually closed, which I noticed as I came up to the door and was greeted by the owner. She told me that they were closed for the day, but after seeing the disappointment on my face waved me inside and proceeded to give me five raspberry and lemon cupcakes for free. They were very fresh and light and really had a great fruit flavor. I was happy to find a bakery that found the balance between flavor, sweetness, and moisture. They were very moist and there was a perfect amount of icing that was also not overly sweet(thankfully because cupcakes from other locations have made my family sick because of this). Since then, I have been back twice and have been equally pleased with both the friendly staff and their delicious products. I highly recommend Z Bakery and their PB&J cupcakes!

The chocolate eclairs! If you get anything, get the chocolate éclair. So good! I’m not a great review writer, but as a customer I do have high expectations. The staff is courteous and fun! We joked around throughout the transaction. The cupcakes looked so good I bought twice as many as planned! It was easy with the $ 10 for $ 5 coupon.

It takes a lot of C.O. Jones to open a cupcake shop in the same town as Cupcrazed. They have set the bar high and their cupcakes are awesome. Every time I try cupcakes from somewhere else, I am always disappointed at the lack of flavor and moisture. I expected the same thing from Z Bakery based on the first reviews. I am happy to report that was not the case here. I got an Andes cupcake that had chocolate chips, Andes mints, and mint icing. The first bite I took from the outside was dry so I expected the rest of the cake to be dry too — it wasn’t. The cupcake definitely tasted like Andes mints and it was good. I love mint and chocolate and thus love Andes mints, so much so that people always give them to me on Christmas and my birthday. The cupcake was slightly smaller than Cupcrazed, but the same price as Cupcrazed special flavors — $ 3. I like at least enough icing to cover the cupcake too, and the icing on these did not completely cover the top. The icing also helps to act as a seal and keep the cake moist and fresh. It’s a much different atmosphere than Cupcrazed. It’s in an old house that has hosted several business, most of which have failed because of poor business practices such as only being open a few hours each day for only a few days a week — you can’t pay rent with that. The lack of a shopping area also makes it difficult to generate customers here. Z Bakery also does wedding cakes and things like that so that should supplement their business if they do them well. I still think Cupcrazed is better, but Z Bakery is better than most other places I’ve tried since the cupcake trend started.
