Great ice cream(4 stars), very disappointing customer service(1 star) = 2.5 stars. Lack of training, motivation, and team culture are clearly lacking recently. I’ve been going to this Kilwin’s for a few years, and this season’s experience was enough to prompt this review. After waiting in a near empty store for about 5 minutes watching one staff member get ice cream tastings to a couple behind us, we stood at the counter waiting patiently. 1 staff member was helping the couple, the other two staff were giggling to themselves, talking loudly and paying no attention to us standing there waiting for help. It seemed like they were intentionally avoiding eye contact so they didn’t have to work. The couple also at the bar was tasting just about every flavor, so we politely asked if we could try one of the ice creams. The two staff who were talking amongst themselves didn’t look up, and then another staff member jumped in and said, «um, you can be polite wait your turn». Wait our turn for what? The staff members to stop chatting, and the couple behind us to stop trying 10+ flavors? We went around the corner to the other ice cream shop and received attentive service and good ice cream.

We liked the candy options, but after not being crazy about the fudge samples we stuck with ice cream. We split a sea salt caramel ice cream waffle cone and it was fantastic — definitely big enough to split with another person. The store smells really good. The lady working had a child there with her that she kept disciplining so it was a bit awkward, but overall a fine experience. We would go back for more ice cream(they had a lot of flavors!).

Toasted coconut ice cream in a waffle cone hit the spot when I was craving something sweet! Husband had the Georgia peach and was equally satisfied! Great little spot!

A great little ice cream shop smack dab in the heart of the Ft Myers Beach. Across from the public parking lot, it’s convenience to beach access is great for a quick cold treat before or after your ocean dip. Take a second to try the many different dairy delights. From superman to the classy salted Carmel, they’ve got a flavor for just about every palette. You can even dress up your scoop with a waffle cone or just go plain Jane in a cup. Beyond their excellent selection of various ice creams, there’s a whole case dedicated to chocolates, fudges, and my personal favorite, Carmel apples! Including the ever superior pecan Carmel Apple! Ps. They’re Granny Smith apples… Just the way nature intended!

Awesome ice cream with great selection. Definitely would recommend the New Orleans praline pecan ice cream or the toasted coconut ice cream. Prices are reasonable and staff is extremely attentive. Definitely would return and recommend to others.

The ice cream is absolutely delicious and so is their fudge. They have a large variety of unique ice creams and chocolates and the service is really quick and friendly. I recommend getting the toasted coconut if you love coconut. Also, one scoop of ice cream is more than enough to satisfy anyones sweet tooth.

Pretty cool place with good ice cream. As a Flintstone, I can appreciate real Mackinac Island Fudge ice cream on the menu. I sampled it just to be sure. It passes the taste test. I sampled the Fort Myers Beach Mud and Turtle Cheesecake before deciding on the former. Worth every carb and gram of fat. I resisted the urge to buy dark chocolate pecan turtles. The outside tables are a nice touch and a great place for enjoying your dessert in fine weather. Service was quick and friendly. I would definitely comev again.

Ordering was frustrating. Ice cream was excellent. Ordered a sundae eventually and it was listed as a specialty menu item. In item description included waffle bowl. Received it without waffle bowl and lady serving us said«oh you wanted a waffle bowl? This is the way we usually serve it. Very frustrating when servers do not know their own menu. Salted caramel very good. Also while in there a lady preparing caramel apples dropped a drying tray on floor and picked it up and continued using it to dry the apples freshly dipped in caramel.

This place has the best homemade peppermint ice cream ever! They also have specialty candy as well as hot and cold coffee drinks. Great place to treat yourself or others you like to bless with the best!

Love all Kilwins, but kudos to the Ft Myers Beach shop for the best salted chocolate fudge ever! We love an ice cream cone(again, salted chocolate for me, my husband loves butter pecan) after a day at the beach … so thanks for that, too … Kilwins is awesome!

A perfect end to my evening! Coffee from Kilwins is exactly what i needed! Our friends had milkshakes and ice cream, no complaints from them! I tried their yogurt covered pretzels with sprinkles. Such a tasty treat to compliment my latte. The seating is outside which was nice with the cool November breeze and the live band. Nice little spot in a very central area with plenty of big shops on the strip to walk off the sugar :-)

Small store, with enough walking room to form a single file line that snakes around the place. We happened to walk in at an opportune time, as one of the staff members was bagging fresh made caramel corn. Thusly, samples were being doled out. It had a nice crunch, with the best thing that it was so soft, you didn’t have to worry about the«you can’t open your mouth because your teeth are stuck together from all the gooeyness» thing that a lot of sticky corns may do. Ice cream: Plenty of buckets to choose from. Superman looked like a hippy’s dream with all the colors. Seemed the favorites were pistachio and Georgia peach. If anything, go for the people watch, stay for the waffle cone.

Everyone else was wearing hoodies and shivering, I was in shorts looking for ice cream. It was 75 degrees. If you happen to find yourself in such a place at any moment in time, and do enjoy the delightful taste sensations that accompany delicious, handmade, chunky(in all the right ways) ice cream… make purchases. Alternatively or as companion to your frozen dessert choices, stick your face on/in/around a candy apple, consume fudge, purchase other candy for the ride home. After a hard day of relaxing at the beach, you deserve it. THEBEST on the beach. It doesn’t matter what you get. Just get something, and trust me, it’ll be euuuuuge. Euuuuuuuge Southwest Florida, euuuuuuuuge.

I’ve been to Kilwin’s of Ft. Myers three times this summer and I’m never disappointed. It seems to always have regular business flowing through, and even so the staff is very kind and pays attention to their customers. The ice cream is very creamy and tastes slow-churned. Their samples of fudge are also delicious, and I bought my brother a slice of maple walnut fudge to go for $ 7. I think this is an excellent family ice cream shop that you can go to again and again.

Dark chocolate caramel bear claw. Cashews coated with the second thing and then the first thing. End of story. Story sequel: pick a shake, any shake. It’ll be skillfully crafted from no less than 5 – 6 scoops of ultra premium ice cream. Or skip the cup and load up a made-fresh waffle cone. End of sequel. Prequel: housemade caramel corn that will stick between your teeth and to the root of your being. Get it as is, or drizzled with chocolate and tossed with nuts. Gawd. End of prequel. Redux-Done-Two-Years-After-The-Original: the Mackinac Island Fudge. Soft, creamy with a little grit and a lot of salty butter. I don’t even like fudge, and I always grab a sample or seven from the scale to the left of the entrance. End of redux. And just like any Hollywood blockbuster franchise with mass appeal, I’ll stupidly salivate over the next release.

I walked into Kilwin’s today looking for a sweet treat and boy, did I find a great one. The Mackinac Island Fudge ice cream is to DIE for. I absolutely did not mind paying $ 5 for a large one scoop cone, when I could’ve gone across the street to Coldstone Creamery and paid a dollar more for something not as delicious. Greg, the employee who helped me was incredibly friendly and helpful. I must have tried a half dozen flavors before making my choice. I vacation in Naples once a year, and will be making a trip up to the Kilwin’s in Fort Myers every time now. DELICIOUS!

Simple review… Chocolate — chocolate with caramel — chocolate with caramel and sea salt! I love the smell and the prices are decent

Extremely overpriced. You are certainly paying for the location, not the ice cream. The ice cream is decent but $ 5 for one scoop? No thanks.
