Small women’s clothing shop with a nice selection of better quality sportswear, comfort wear, dressy wraps and tops, and accessories. This was the best shop we visited in downtown Ft. Myers Beach and we were so grateful to not see any tacky t-shirts or preserved alligator heads that we spent more than we should have. The staff were great.

Anita was hospitable from the moment we walked in, even offered me a bag to carry my take-home that was in a clamshell. The assortment at Local Color is very high quality, all price points, local artists’ wares that we didn’t see in other stores, save a couple of items. None of the boobies or sick«I’m drunk» or reefer madness beach-themed items sold everywhere else. Excellent selection of shoes and bags, reasonable prices on those. And the store smells like rich people, can’t beat that! We bought a jeweled palm tree ornament, a beaded keychain for my young daughter, and a tasteful card and magnet for my adult niece. I am going to call them today to order a marvelous perfume they sell, too.

Easily the best souvenir shop in Ft. Myers beach for those of us with more sophisticated tastes and an eye for art and design. If you’re not into cheap, flimsy, plastic, generic, and hideous souvenirs, then you will want to visit this shop. We purchased some beautiful nautical themed jewelry and some art greeting cards.

Tourist trap geared toward the geriatric set. Lots of knick-knacks that were on the expensive side given the surroundings and the other establishments. Downgrade on the stars given the ‘tude of the staff — may have been the owner. Seemed real irritated to see people browsing through her stuff and wasn’t very pleased when my daughter dropped a few bucks to buy a little souvenir of her vacation. Right back at you lady.
