We come here at least twice a week for wings — best on the beach… plus the bartenders get to know you and what you like to drink ;) It’s a great neighborhood sports bar, friendly patrons and great food. EVERYTHING is delicious. The pizza is the best you can find! There is a separate dining area that is suitable for families and groups. I haven’t experienced that but they’re always busy weekend days and during season. Try Sandbar & Grille, you won’t be sorry!

In our group of 6 adults, 5 loved it. The grouper is really good. Their fries are steak fries, and are really good when they are cooked fully (one batch was still a little cold, which they corrected). Coconut shrimp was good, but a small portion for the price. Burger was really good. Club sandwich was decent. Price is pretty reasonable for the island.

Poor service! We stood at the hostess stand for around 4 minutes until we decided to just seat ourself. Our drinks did arrive promptly, yet that was the best of the experience. My friend and I ordered an appetizer and two salads. It took about 25 minutes for our app to arrive while we sat for a good 15 minutes with empty beers. We were about to get up and leave when our salads finally arrived 45 minutes later. Just say no to Sandbar.

We went here expecting it to be below average after reading the reviews but were pleasantly surprised. We were seated right away and the service was very good. The food was also pretty good. We went with the signature grouper sandwich which was huge and an easy split.
The lobster ravioli was great as well. Overall the atmosphere was American pub bar feeling but at least 4 stars.

Order the restaurant favorite Crunchy grouper sandwich that was outstanding. Also order a supreme pizza that lived up to the beaches best pizza that they boast. Good place to enjoy a cold beer on tap and watch a sports game. Enjoy! Cheers

Laid back, friendly bar and restaurant. Never had a bad meal the years we have visited here while in Ft. Myers. They have happy hour in the bar at 4 p.m. and it’s usually very crowded during the season, but the restaurant serves the same food if you want a good meal. Staff is very attentive and friendly and professional. Love the chicken salad sandwich, and some day we will try their pizza, which we’ve heard is amazing.

Nice place, TV on every table, food was good and fast. Waiter kept glasses full. Large portion of fish and chips, lots of steak fries. We split and had plenty to eat. Will go back.

The south end of Fort Myers Beach island is a bit desolate. It’s for the retiring community and those visiting family. There aren’t many options, but Sandbar is bad.
They have televisions everywhere. Behind the bar. In front of tables. On the side of walls. In the bathrooms. I’m sure there must be one in the supply closet.
It’s a great option to catch some sports games in the area. The bartenders are super friendly. Bartender Matt is a good dude. The drink selection is limited. Basic American beers. Nothing crazy or that tasty. I wouldn’t get a cocktail here either. Stick to straight liquor and some beers.
It’s an alright place to check out.

Open late (with a limited bar menu). Amazing pizza. Good drinks and beer selection is quite good. Great place to go to watch a game/​sporting event, regardless of the type of day. Sometimes they also deliver!!!

We called around to try and find a kid-​friendly place that had our game on. We were a group of four with two kids in high-​chairs. They sat us at high-​top tables that the kids couldn’t see or eat from and the service was pretty slow. The beer specials were good and I would rate the food as okay. We ordered wings, burgers, and wraps. Nothing too fancy.

We like to eat here at least once when staying out at the beach. Used to have best cheesy pizza and now have changed it to thin crust. Still good, just wish they had both options. Also had angel hair with meatballs, which were really good. Good service.
Each night they have a special during the week. Tues is half price pizza, etc.
when our children were young we loved coming to dinner at one of the tables with its own tv. Limited channels but fun. Great for sports fans with large TV’s around the room.

My husband and were driving trying to find a place to eat came across this place it’s clean the fish tacos were great just be care when you use your credit card they charge us twice and I am a person who checks my bank acct a lot. we went back to let them know and they kind if gave us a hard time about it it’s best you pay with cash.

Slow service, gross food, flat beer, lame mixed drinks. Pasta dish was butter and pasta, bland, and came with soft greasy ‘garlic bread.’ The meatball sub was generic and subpar compared to subway. Overall a waste of money and time.

Very dive bar-​like with typical bar food, drinks and crowd. I ended up here on a scavenger hunt for some decent food around 9:00 on a Wednesday night. To my surprise, I was hard pressed to find something decent to eat near my hotel at this time of night. Anyhow, I ended up here. I ordered the fish and chips which was pretty good, the fish was much better than the fries (chips). Service was fast and decent. The bar is a bit outdated but nothing unbearable. A solid 3 stars.
