Sugar daddy takes sushi rolls to the next level. I can’t Oder anything else since I ordered these gems! I’ve had basically the whole menu and can’t complain about much!

This location is definitely the best out of the whole bunch. The service was great, and the food/drinks were better than I expected but still a bit off. I order a hot sake to start off, which was closer to luke warm. We also started with tuna tataki, which was excellent as usual. My friend ordered California Dream and it was so fresh and delectable. I loved the hint of cilantro, and the salmon melted in my mouth. I ordered Lava Drops to feed my fried food craving, and the temperature again was off and colder than I would imagine a fried sushi dish to be. There are better sushi places in the area.

OMG! My husband and I were visiting his son and they asked us if we liked sushi. We’ve never tried it, so they ordered everything. AAAAMAZING! Jessi was so informative with the menu. I would definitely come back here…

Been here once with a group of friends and really enjoyed it. We shared a variety of sushi rolls and all were very delicious! Can’t wait to return!

I go to Blu Sushi a lot, all the ones in Fort Myers, because Blu makes some of the best sushi I have ever had. I have yet to taste a roll that I do not like. This location only lacks decent service. I’ve been here several times, both when the restaurant is busy and when it is very slow, and both times the service is always terrible. It takes the servers nearly twenty minutes to a half hour to come back to your table to check up on you. There have been times when the first drink I initially get is the last one I will have because the server does not even notice the glass is empty or she does and does not care. Once I went during endless Blu and me and the table of two next to me ordered a house salad, but we were told they were out of lettuce and we could only get miso soup or edamame– only to see multiple other tables be served the salad moments later. The manager is also unhelpful and kind of rude. Almost all of the servers act very stuck up. If only service was different I would have rated 5 stars.

Found this little jem in Fort Myers. Three of us went there for dinner. Seaweed Salad, Edamame and the Tuna Tower were appetizers. Main course we shared the Mango Tango, Spicy Samurai, Skinny Love and the PB&J. The PB&J was recommended by our waitress, turned out to be a favorite of the table. Tried a couple different cocktails and finished with their deep fried cheesecake(yum)!! The waitress was awesome and the price was what you would expect for a sushi bar! If your in Fort Myers, I highly recommend you go!

Omg! This is a mixed review. My wife and I stopped in early to have a few drinks and some sushi… Everything went beautifully because our very attentive and kind waitress Casey… She was ending her shift right when we were ending ours… A new male bartender came in and encouraged us to stay… We didn’t but was pleased with the experience so decided to bring a party of 7 back. When we arrived we were ignored by the same guy who encouraged us to return! Our blonde waitress was putting on lip stick as she took someone else’s order… We asked her repeatedly to take our order and she just went from table to table acting like she was in miss America pageant… We were there for 20 minutes and never received our drinks… We walked out… This completely ruined a night of family vacation… I honestly can’t comprehend how my family was treated… My wife and I spent 100.00 the first round … I just can’t understand how a party of 7 well dressed and professional people who are willing to give this establishment our money was denied service!!! Terrible! Seriously a waste of our night!!!

First restaurant I went to when I visited Fort Myers and I loved it! The special edmame is a must. The cilantro in it made it amazing. Then we got your typical«rock shrimp» which was good. We got some rolls and they were all delicious. I definitely would recommend this place for a night out with friends. Then fortunately since we were there on a Thursday it was ladies, which literally means ladies drink for free. Yes the drinks are smaller but I didn’t think there was any less alcohol ratio in them. I had a great time and I will be back again if I’m ever in Fort Myers

Came here for lunch on a Saturday as we were passing through Ft. Myers on our way north. As a sushi craving hit, we quickly settled on the nearest sushi restaurant around with decent reviews. At first glance Blu Sushi is in a cool location, tucked into a courtyard style garden in a small shopping center. The outdoor seating area was an ideal option on a balmy 78 degree day. The sushi menu as a whole was impressive, there were a wide array of maki and sushi with some combinations I haven’t really seen before. My entire table ended up going with the Endless Sushi Lunch($ 16.95) which is an all-you-can-eat option, but the sushi is limited to a list of about 15 things(including basic maki, specialty maki, salads, and nigiri) and you can only order two items at a time. I understand both the need to limit the options for all you can eat, as well as restricting people to two items at a time, as it definitely makes people more realistic with their appetites(less waste). The specialty maki rolls were all nearly identical though. I don’t remember the names but almost all them included«krab», cream cheese and some kind of fried addition. The sushi itself was decent, the maki was a bit small and I didn’t love their preparation of sushi rice, a bit too sweet. The nigiri of sushi, tuna and escolar was respectable and tasty — no complaints there. I guess where I had the biggest problem was the lack of variety of specialty rolls as well as the pace of service. Service throughout the meal was quite slow, to the point where we were all ordering our next two items of sushi as soon as our current order arrived. It ended up being a near 2 hour lunch, in which we constantly had to ask for more water, more soy sauce and more wasabi/ginger. I’m not sure their space would permit such a setup, but I think Blu should consider just doing a sushi buffet brunch/lunch. Up the price and make a few more rolls/salads and I think profit could be maintained while satisfying more people. Lastly, while service was slow our server was nice, friendly and apologetic for the situation. Full disclosure we also didn’t order drinks, which seems to be Blu’s specialty as well. I would be curious to try this place again and order sushi a la carte to hopefully get a fuller and better experience than the endless lunch.

Slimy, smelly tuna tower on 2 occasions here at Blu Sushi on McGregor in Fort Myers. Much smaller portions than the excellent quality at Blu Sushi Gulf Coast. We were given a gift card to the McGregor location and after 2 terrible experiences I met with the General Manager and she was miserable and uncooperative. We will NEVER eat there again but will bring all our business to Gulf Coast.

We’ve tried numerous sushi bars in the area and keep coming back to Blu Sushi.
The décor, lighting and general vibe make this venue a good choice for date night or Girls Night Out. Dressier clothes fit right in and you’d most likely feel comfortable here in nicer casual outfits but not as much in what you wore to the beach. ;)
The specialty rolls include combinations that are pleasant to the palate as well as the eye. Our favorites list includes: The Blu Special Fish Your Own(with Eel) And The Spicy Butterfly The service has always been pretty decent. Like you’d expect, they tend to be busier in the evening and on weekends. The value for price paid is in line with other sushi establishments in the area.

I called 2 days in advance to order a party platter. We have done so every NYE for years. My husband went to pick it up and was handed a bag with take out boxes. I was told by manager«they don’t do platters anymore». Why was I not notified of this? Why does your to go website still show beautifully arranged party platters? VERY disappointed. Manager was the worst! Zero customer service skills. Will not be going back to Blu anytime soon.

We came in at 10 and got some margaritas for $ 6 and a few sushi rolls with a free appetizer and it was all Amazing! It came out quickly and our server was super nice and accommodating! I loved the atmosphere and the music that was playing at the time. It was a great last stop for my business trip after a long week of work! Thank you so much for the great experience!

We visited Blu Sushi tonight after hearing from several locals that it was the place to go for sushi. We decided to eat on the patio. The ambiance was relaxing and modern. There was a DJ playing EDM/dance/techno music(which I liked, but I can understand if it is not other people’s taste). Our server was very frazzled and seemed to forget we were sitting outside. We think she had too many tables inside the restaurant and we were placed on the back burner. We started with seaweed salad, miso soup, edamame and a seared yellow tail appetizer. I’m a harsh critic of miso soup and Blu Sushi’s miso soup met my expectations. It was delicious. There was the perfect balance of saltiness, seaweed and tofu. The yellow tail appetizer was equally as good. However, our table preferred the dish without all the foo foo décor on top of the fish. We thought it took away from the freshness of the yellowtail. For dinner, I ordered the Sushi Special which is 10 pieces of sushi and 1 tuna roll. I was surprised with the quality of the fish. It was decadent and clearly fresh. I also ordered off the cocktail menu as I love to try new cocktails. I got The Clooney which is a «skinny» margarita and George Clooney’s brand tequila. The cocktail was a disaster. It lacked flavor and all you could taste was gross tequila. I only made it halfway through the drink before I determined it was game over. The food at Blu Sushi was absolutely delicious. What tanked our experience was the service. We came on a Friday night and it was not super busy. We were very frustrated with our waitress as she continually forgot about our table, our orders, bringing us water, bringing the check, etc.

Had some of the happy hour drinks and food. Can’t go wrong. Other martini’s way over priced. Really great bartender. Dumplings were just ok.

We recently visited Blu Sushi to experience their Endless Blu Sushi lunch. I am so glad we went. Endless Blu Sushi Lunch runs from 11:30am-2:00pm Mon-Fri at a cost of $ 16.95. However, do to it being the 13th anniversary Blu Sushi, the endless lunch was only $ 13.00 per person for this Summer. 3 of us made the trek to Blu Sushi. We enjoyed Lava Drops, Mexican Rolls, California Rolls, Spicy Tuna Rolls, Volcano Rolls, Sugar Mama Rolls, Edamame, House Salad and Miso Soup. In total we had 10 Rolls, 3 Soups, 2 Edamame and 1 Salad… for a total bill of $ 41.34. This is honestly the best deal near Fort Myers Beach! We had a great time and enjoyed every bite of our lunch. We will definitely come back.

I came here with my wife for our anniversary date. I gave up meat and poultry for lent and allowed myself to eat fish… so sushi is it. My wife is not a sushi pro so we needed to get things that aren’t that fishy and to be honest those are the best ones anyway. I can’t recall all the ones we got but I had the salad that’s basic and great, the lava drop(?) which my wife loves, I had the lycheetini to drink which was kinda cool, a spicy tuna, and maybe one other one. I can’t recall which ones but the Lava drop stole the show. Overall the ambience was cool. Yes, it’s very blue. Yes, it’s on the smaller side. But we kinda liked that. My wife loved them and she’s been kinda raving about how she«Eats sushi» now. Thanks Blu sushi for this night!

Amazing! I recently visited the Ft. Myers area and a friend of mine recommended that I try this place. I started with the Perfect Lycheetini and my date had the Blu’s Classic Mojito. My martini was absolutely delicious– I was a little bummed that a lychee wasn’t skewered in my drink but it was still a great drink! The mojito was just your normal classic mojito nothing special but still delicious. My date and I ordered 4 specialty rolls: Mango Roll, PB&J Roll, Spicy Butterfly Roll and the Sugar Mama Roll. Definitely go for the PB&J roll… what a surprise in your mouth! It was so good that I wanted to eat the whole thing but I remembered I had to share! I thought all of the rolls we ordered were great. Thank goodness too because all seafood should be great in FL at least in my eyes! The only downside to our visit was the slow service. I am from Cleveland and most diners on a Friday or Saturday night go out to eat between 7 – 9:30pm. My date had to remind me I was in Ft. Myers in which most diners eat between 5−7pm. So while the restaurant was a bit empty for Saturday night the service should not have been slow. It took about ten minutes for me to get my martini and then another ten minutes for our server to come back and take our order. I would give this place another chance if I am ever back in the Ft. Myers area.

It saddens me to have to give this place 2 stars, as the atmosphere is pretty awesome. Very ultra, hip and trendy this place is nestled in a really quaint plaza. I was sure this place was gonna have phenomenal sushi. First, the hotel manager said this was the best sushi place in town so I took a chance against my typical Kobe establishment. I knew I should’ve went with the local Unilocalers reviews. Darn it! The hostesses were nice as can be. Bartender wasn’t so friendly, didn’t offer me a drink while I looked at the menu. I probably would’ve had one too. I got the Lava drops and Blue Sunset. Both rolls came to $ 28. Let me preface by saying I don’t like fried sushi rolls, but since the manager praised this Lava Roll I took a leap. Bad move. It was really soggy and really bland. I also got Blue Sunset and the taste was the same. bLaNd I did notice on the previous reviews the mention of over slathering with sauces. Now I know why… to give it flavor. Thank goodness my husband packed some homemade brownies for me, I would’ve starved for dinner.
