Went with two friends who were trying this place for the second time. We were all delighted with the pulled pork, chicken, ribs! They were all tasty, tender, and falling off the bone. This was very different then the first time my friends came, the food then was dried out and lacked taste. From reading the reviews this is a «hit and miss» kind of place. However for my first visit it was a great. It is a shame they do not appear consistent. Can’t wait to try this place again and give an update.

For a chain Joint I would have to say its great! The pulled pork was heaven a must try! The ribs are tough but still tasty. Great corn bread even without extra butter, I do love buttery corn bread but theirs was great still. I decided on the salmon just to mix it up, it came out on a cedar plank smelling oh so good but it was covered/​drenched in BBQ sauce with no other flavors other then a fishy taste, I ended up eating it with my red skin mash potatoes just to add something to the mix. The service was great, not to long of a wait and 2 for 1 drinks.

Yuk. High Fructose Corn syrup in the sauce. Smarten up Dave, that stuff is not good for humans!

When we arrived my wife ordered a glass of wine before dinner. The waiter said the wine was 2 for 1 however, my wife told him she only wanted one. After we were completely finished with dinner the waiter brought her another glass of wine and left. My wife didn’t drink it. When the check arrived I questioned the waiter on the $ 10.99 charge for a glass of wine and told him she didn’t want the second. He said it was the price for 2 for 1 one. I told him again that she only ordered one but he refused to make any corrections. I feel sure he was just lying to me. If the Staff is a reflection of the management that, restaurant is in trouble. The food was excellent! The fried pickles arr the best we have tasted anywhere. The ribs were so tender and delicious. Bread pudding was very decadent. Service was great. Prompt, courteous, and kept checking in

Have been to this location several times. Was satisfied with everything. This last visit was a nightmare. They had a guy holding a sign advertising all you can eat feast $ 24.95. Stopped in specifically because of the price. This was on a Wednesday. Seems the guy was holding the wrong sign. They refused to honor the price that was on the sign. They disputed they used the wrong sign (duh) guess I made it up.
And to make things even worse my wife got really sick when we arrived home. She indicated that it looked like the ribs didn’t look right. Giving the insult about the price and the fact my wife became ill that’s it for us. I should warn you to be very careful about your decision on where to eat ribs.

I’m a little disappointed today at famous Daves. Usually I rave about this place, but today the ribs tasted old and dry. Maybe because it was right after the holidays. But this will be a wake up call for them. They always have to be awesome. Especially if I will be recommending this place. I will let it slide this time because usually it’s awesome.

What a waste of money… this was a much better Mexican restaurant, in the day… $ 47.00 lunch with 2 beers
Ribs were fatty, tough, and overpriced. Chicken appeared and left the table back to kitchen as over done and extra dry. I wish the coleslaw tasted like anything but vinegar.yuck. Corn bread wasn’t either.
The sauces are varied and ok.
When they go out of business I’ll be back.

If you are in Fort Myers and looking for great consistent BBQ stop in here. Great food happy hour all the time.

Have ate at Dave’s several times and have enjoyed several things. The burnt ends are awesome. But I had the traditional wing basket to go and I could not even eat them, the wings were soaked in grease. It would actually ooze out when opening the wing. I am a huge wing fan and these were the worst that I’ve ever had.

I rated Mission so this place needs a review. While the food was better than mission, the service was by far the worse. I left 90% of my meal in this place just because of the service. So guess who won’t get my business when not if I host events for my 200 plus employees. Thumbs down from me.

We wound up here because a BBQ place down the road was closed on a Saturday night. We are so glad that place was closed!!! Famous Dave’s had the PERFECT dinner for me: Salmon, Onion Straws, and Pineapple steaks!!! Seriously the BEST Salmon I’ve EVER had!!! My husband had the ribs„ FF, and Baked beans, which he thoroughly enjoyed. The cornbread muffins were SO good too! I highly recommend this place! Too bad we live 3 hours away because this would be our favorite BBQ place. Our waitress was so friendly, awesome attitude! Really enjoyed talking to her Go to Famous Dave’s if you’re ever in the Fort Myers area.

Two words… Burnt Ends!!! Order them. So good! It’s a chain rib restaurant. Great ribs and large portions that are plentiful for the prices. The staff is attentive and definitely do their best to garner a good tip. We appreciate that they give you wet-​naps afterwards so you’re not driving home with your fingers stuck to the steering wheel. We eat here often and love it. Definitely better than Sonny’s in my book.

Sorry but this place is a sorry excuse for a BBQ restraurant! Horrible BBQ sauce — all 4 types — ribs we ordered way too salty, cornbread more like sweet cake. how can you mess up collard greens? they did. Don’t know wha t was up with the waitress… shared way too much info about her life. Save your money, cook your own ribs at home, even if you can’t cook you should be able to do better than Dave’s!

We went with some friends for a few appetizers and drinks. It was 30 minutes before we got to place a food order. If the restaurant had been packed, then maybe I can understand, however other than a few poll at the bar and a table outside, we were it. There were only four of us. By the time we got our food, just two appetizers, we had been there 45 minutes. I was ready to go home at that point. The food was basic nothing exciting and the service left much to be desired.
This was maybe the third time I have been here in the past few years, have never had anything that truly excited me. As a seriously lover of fried pickles I ordered them the first time I went. Never again. They were soggy and dripping in oil. After looking at the bottom of the basket at the puddle of oil, I was done.
Much better local places for BBQ and really good fried pckles.

For a chain I gotta say the bbq ribs n pulled pork were on point. They got some real great sauces if you need a little flavor. I got the platter with St Louis ribs and pulled pork… Delicious! I’m not really a fan of rib meat falling off my bones but it was tasty. The mac n cheese with jalapeños has a great Lil spice kick and the corn bread biscuit was amazing which I really recommend. My service was always there and recommended me all that. Given that I came before busy time. For a chain I’m impressed and recommend it for some good bbq.

Let me start by saying that I LOVE BBQ. It’s one of my favorite things to eat (other than Mexican food) and Famous Daves knows how to do it right! I’m very picky with BBQ sauce and theirs is one of the best I’ve ever tried. In fact, we liked it so much that we ended up buying 6 bottles of it!
I was in Fort Myers for work and ended up visiting this location 3 times, including a catering order for my office. The meat fell right off the bone and the chicken was cooked to perfection. The sides were amazing and their corn bread… oh my, their corn bread. So good!
I would definitely recommend this restaurant for dine in, take out, and even catering!

My husband and I stopped in on a Friday night in March. It was crowded. The food was served in a relatively quick time frame. I was not feeling well, so only ate a few bites and asked for a box to take it home. My husband paid and I accidentally left box the table, As soon as we got to the car (less than 3 minutes) I realized I had left it. We went back in and manager, Jenny, said it was cleared and dumped because we left.
She did offer to replace my meal, but was someone aggravated because I made the mistake of leaving it. I called couple hours later and she said she «would write my name in book» and I could come get a replacement meal.” I think any person clearing tables would take anything left up to the register. I will not visit again as I felt humiliated by her tone toward us. It was a waste of money. We live here year round and I used to take ladies for lunch. I will not go there again

The ribs were great, but not a fan of the «garlic bread» at all, sonnys bbq definitely has them beat there.

Great barbecue and all the meats are delicious. I like the variety of sauces available. Enough variety here for healthy diners. Good bar with a super happy hour. The waffle fries are great smothered in Devil’s Spit BBQ sauce. The bathrooms are clean and so is the restaurant.

Famous Dave’s ist wie viele andere Restaurants in den USA auch eine Restaurantkette mit insgesamt 189 Filialen in den USA, Canada und demnächst Costa Rica.
Service: freundlicher Kellner, sehr hilfsbereit und bemüht uns alles zu erklären. Hat uns auch die richtige Portionsgrösse empfohlen und war nicht darauf aus möglichst viel zu verkaufen. Wir mussten anfangs ca 10 min warten. Das haben wir an der Bar getan. Dort georderte Getränke müssen übrigens auch dort bezahlt werden.
Ambiente: man fühlt sich wie in einer Kneipe im mittleren Westen. Das Restaurant ist innen mit Holz verkleidet, was den Eindruck einer Hütte vermittelt. Gemütlich urig.
Essen: kurz: lecker. Ich hatte die Spareribs. Der 4er war vollkommen ausreichend, da man sich dazu noch zwei Beilagen aussuchen kann und einen Maismuffin erhält. Die Spareribs sind sehr zart, nur wenig knorpelig und haben einen leicht rauchigen Geschmack. Etwas anders als die deutschen Biergarten Spareribs aber wirklich klasse. Vorab habe ich mich noch die Nachos gegönnt. Hätte eigentlich auch als Hauptspeise ausgereicht und war auch super lecker mit Bohnen, Käse, Salat, Jalapenos und Sour Cream. Gerne wieder!
