Average sushi, and VERY expensive ! $ 8.99 for a eight piece roll, tiny pieces… With tax $ 9.53, this coupled with the fact you get in line, pay, collect your own food, clean your plate and table… This business model will not allow for success in a mall swimming with an array of 30 restaurant choices… Adapt your prices quickly or the business is dead.

DON’T WASTEYOURMONEY! I would describe this place as «fast food sushi». My fiancé and I were patiently waiting for this place to open as we love sushi. When we approached the counter to order, we told the cashier that it was our first time and asked what was good. She responded, «I’m not sure how to answer that question.» She then called someone over who was able to recommend a couple items on the menu. We took his advice and ordered a teriyaki bowl and two rolls– Cali and Mango ??(Can’t remember the exact name). The chicken in the teriyaki bowl wasn’t cooked in teriyaki, but rather grilled chicken with teriyaki drizzled across. Nonetheless just disappointing and bland. The mango roll was drenched with chili sauce and the mango tasted like it came from a can. The Cali roll didn’t taste fresh at all and the krab was questionable. We both looked at each other and threw our food away and walked out. Not that anyone noticed, because all 3 employees had gone into the back and didn’t check on us once. They were all back there for over 10 minutes. Save your money! We should’ve known better when we walked in and it was empty and they were mopping 2 hours before close.

This place is going to be my new go to quick sushi spot in Estero. I ordered the 3 Alarm roll which was delicious!!! The tuna in the roll was very fresh good quality. I was skeptical to try this place out after reading the negative reviews but I will definitely be coming back!

What a great new place I found. WOW! the service was wonderful Chris the owner came out to meet you, staff was eager and to help you and describe everything and show you in detail what is what. They have what no other sushi place in the area has Sushi Burritos Japanese Drinks, make your own Sushi and Rice Bowls. I literally tried everything. First the Spicy Edamame was perfect, then then the Spicy Tuna Burrito and the Hamachi Burrito. Then I custom made a rice bowl and had the Strawberry Japanese Drink which was AMAZING! I have to tell you this I am boasting about this place because it’s seriously a hidden gem. Speaking now about it will not do it any justice. YOUMUSTGOFORYOURSELF! I have asked several people there and the consensus was the same once you try it you go back the second day lol. You will not be disappointed. Happy Eating.

First visit was enough to know I’ll never return. The girl at the counter seemed confused by the simplest questions. After placing the order the food came up quickly. It was flavorless and clearly of poor quality. But more importantly — Between 3 rolls and a chicken teriyaki bowl — all 4 plates had hair in them.

Disappointed doesn’t even begin to cover my dismay. I’d been looking forward to trying this place since they first up up signs in the Towne Center. I will definitely never return. The menu offers several options, bowls, salads, or rolls. You can create your own or go with one of the pre-set menu options. Having not been there before, we tried to ask the counter girl some questions. All of these seem to perplex her. We asked what type of shrimp was used for the shrimp protein. It could have been chilled, grilled, or tempura for all we knew. She was taken aback, and told is it was«cooked raw shrimp». Ok then. I ordered 2 rolls, and my dining companion a create your own bowl. It didn’t take very long, which was a good thing. That should have been a warning bell. My companion’s chicken bowl consisted of veiny chicken scraps, bland rice, and what was supposed to be a sweet chili sauce that really just tasted like Tabasco straight from the bottle. Next, we have my sushi rolls. I went with a create your own and one of the house specials. They tasted okay, if a little bland, but I was greeted with a lovely surprise of 2 stray hairs on my plate. The first one was on the edge, so I thought maybe it’s from me, and brushed it off, but the second one was under the sauce they use to decorate the plate. I promptly stopped eating. The manager we talked to didn’t seem very surprised, but he was apologetic. He did offer a refund. I spent the rest of the day worried about strangers body hairs in my mouth.

First visit, everything was spot on. Tried the crunch daddy roll along with a rice bowl and salad. The flavors of the warm rice bowl and dressing amount on salad were perfect and the roll was filled and not overly sauced. After the second and third visit… I just gave up. I ordered the same things and started to see a decline in quality and consistency. Second time visiting I had the order«to go» and just assumed that it just didn’t travel well. The final visit… well it was obvious it was the preparers. The crunch daddy roll was all crunch and sauce and little filling. My lunch mate ordered a custom salmon roll and noted the salmon was on one side of the roll and not the other and the roll was not tightly rolled. The salads were drenched in dressing and the rice bowl was served cold(not ideal for brown rice) and overly drenched in soy sauce(vs. teriyaki sauce as described) completely different flavors from the first time. It would be a good idea if they re-do their menus if not all items are going to be served. It’s too bad… but I’d rather pay a little more for quality, professionally made sushi than less for quick and hastily put together.

Exactly what you would expect plus some! Finally a great, fast, urban type restaurant that delivers on freshness! Tired of paying the rip off prices for tiny rolls at other local sushi places? I know we are and this is exactly what GCTC needed! It’s not gourmet but it is customizable and tasty!

For the beefenator, the dressing was abit saturated. I loved the fresh wasabi and we got the poke salad. Man, that salad was good! Well grab the spicy tuna burrito next but alas, my bellies full! We are coming back for sure (Edit) we had to try the spicy tuna burrito so we did! It’s delicious! Tuna… Burrito! Who knew?!

How Do You Roll is finally open as of October 12th, 2015! I was excited to finally see another restaurant open in the area(options are important). Walking in we were immediately greeted and the restaurant was immaculate(as it should be) considering the building was also just built. As for the food, we started with the miso soup($ 1.95) which was delicious and piping hot and loaded with tofu and seaweed. As for the sushi, I ordered the Crunch Daddy roll, which includes Shrimp, jalapeño, spicy aioli, tempura crunch, and chili powder. The roll was delicious and for $ 6.99 it was pretty cheap. My friend ordered a custom roll with raw Salmon, spinach, and avocado. This roll was was pretty simple, but the freshness of the Salmon absolutely came through on our tastebuds. Creating your own roll will cost you $ 8.49 with tons of options to choose from. We also ordered vanilla Mochi($ 2.89), which consists of chewy rice skin wrapped around vanilla ice cream, which was a perfect end to our lunch. They also have chocolate, strawberry, and green tea varieties. The menu is very large as well, including sushi burritos, Teriyaki Chicken bowls, a variety of salads, Poke, and even stuffed Avocados filled with a Krab mix. I definitely give the service alone five stars. We were treated so warmly by all the staff and the owner. We will without a doubt be back to try more offerings from this establishment.
