Predictable… and that’s a good thing! I don’t often dine at chain restaurants. I typically find them boring, overly-systemized, and lacking in the inspiration that makes the culinary tradition so great. Longhorn Steakhouse, however, is the exception to that rule. The Food — while it may not be, «Oh my gosh, mom, you won’t believe the steak I just had,» good … it’s consistently good. The seasonal and featured items change regularly, so it’s easy to visit once or twice a month and not get burned out. The kitchen staff definitely know what they’re doing when it comes to cooking a steak. I married into a beef ranching family, and Longhorn pleases even their knowledgable palates. The Atmosphere — this location in particular is very inviting. The décor is calm, rustic, and classy. And the lighting is dim enough to feel special while not being too dark to read. The seating area up front is comfy as well, but the chairs are a tad short for my taste. However, I’m 6’4″, so I’m the exception and not the rule. The Service — always great. In season, out of season, lunch, supper, big parties… I’ve done them all here and the staff are always great. Never a bad time! Overall, if you’re looking for an easy spot to catch a bite and not break the bank, this location should make your short list! See you soon, Longhorn.

The service was excellent. The food presentation was a little bland and house salad was a lot of large pieces of lettuce. The steak and shrimp combo was really good.

My second time back since my Unilocal event. Kyl was my waiter. A little quiet but his service spoke VOLUMES!!! He was extremely attentive my fellow companion and I never had to ask for a Refill on our drinks one time and he gave us great recommendations. We ordered the porterhouse for 2. WOW! Was it a large portion medium rare with Mac and cheese and loaded baked potato. Unfortunately the filet side was a little well but Kyl to the rescue he brought me an addition filet in the double. I also ordered a Perfect Margarita and it was just that Perfect. I must say I did not expect the service to be as great as the Unilocal event only because after all they were as I perceived to be in it for the reviews. But I will definitely say this place, the ambiance, my service, CJ the manager tonight that came over to make sure my filet was cooked to my liking my outstanding server Kyl who I loved the calmness of the place the drinks flowing I would definitely be coming back. I did not give 5 stars only because my food was not perfect the 1st time and there was food in my seat when I sat down and the hostess seemed inconvenienced when I when giving me a napkin to clean it Overall amazing. Happy eating

Great place! The outlaw ribeye is the best-get the Mac and cheese! Corkscrew noodles with toasted bread crumbs on the top! The Wild West shrimp is phenomenal! Highly recommend!

Longhorn is always a go to place for me. Porterhouse steak for 2 is the best deal around. Outlaw ribeye is also one of my favorites. The salmon is also excellent. The bread, salads, and sides are all very good. Now, for the big misses. Not the main course but two seasonal sides. Parmesan encrusted asparagus. This is really no more then breaded and fried. You would need to send out a search party to find the cheese. Next, and even more unfortunate is the«cream spinach». Why a steakhouse would not have cream spinach all year round is really a mystery to me. But this recipe is so far off the target that it missed it entirely. Wet spinach in a small cassarole dish that on top has breadcrumb and I think maybe some of the parmesan cheese that went missing on the asparagus. A really dumb entry. All Longhorn needed to do was to go on the internet and find a recipe for cream spinach. There are many from all the great steakhouses in the U.S.A. So, to conclude, I will continue to go to Longhorn, but I will be very hesitant to try new items on the menu. UPDATE: Tried the cream spinach again. It was better, but still not on par with great spinach recipes. Salads have become very small over time. Amazing that they are trying to save money on giving the customer 2 less lettuce leaves. STUPID!

I like the food and the décor. I have been many times and they always cook the selections just right. One of my favorite chain restaurants.

Let me start off this review by stating we love Longhorns locally and the value it offers for a traditional steak and potatoes meal. This location appears new and we visited while traveling and found several items to be different and not traditional Longhorns style. The wife loves the chopped steak meal covered in mushrooms and burgundy wine sauce. This location did not provide the usual chopped steak, but instead provided what resembled a leftover hamburger patty coated in the sauce. It truly looked like a leftover burger from lunch and abnormal versus other locations. The rest of the family ordered the Ribeye and the Renegade Sirloin which matched the usual fair. The Parmesan Chicken was overloaded with cheese which overtook any taste of grilled chicken. The kids meals are the normal hamburger and chicken finger offerings and made to order. They offer a nice and fresh dinner salad with most entrees. The had a great regional promotion for a hamburger combo offered outside on a hanging banner, yet told it was not available for consideration during our visit. Looked like it could have been some nice offerings. We did not get desert, but Longhorns offers a Chocolate Cake and Ice-cream offering that easily feeds a table of 4.

Service was good as always. Every time I’ve to Longhorn they are consistent with their food too! No complaints from me! My favorite thing to do is split the porterhouse for two with another person. I especially love the homemade steak sauce that accompanies the meal that they make tableside. The smell of garlic permeates the air around me, and the sauce stays nice and warm until my personal use.

Got the most pitiful Ribeye I’ve ever been served. To their credit they brought me out a whole new plate.

Our server was a wonderfully ATTENTIVE young man for a chain restaurant. Our food was wonderful. The take out I brought home for my son was great! We will be back.

Pass. Just not good. The rib eye was extra fatty, the baked potato was only the size of a golf ball, the soup was from a frozen bag and the potatoes in it were like rubber. The stuffed mushrooms were good and cheesy but one was burnt and of course, that was the last one so it left a bad taste. The prices are way too high for what you get. Save your money or go somewhere else. We should have taken the reviews here seriously… our own fault for not heeding the warnings I guess.

Merely rating the ribs here. As a HUGE fan of ribs and of pork in general, I am surprised to say that a big chain like Longhorn’s has the best Baby Back ribs bar none. Been to BBQ places all over SW Florida that claim to have excellent BBQ, and while that may still be the case that the BBQ is excellent, the ribs absolutely, 100 percent do not match up to the ribs you’ll find at Longhorn’s. Fall off the bone meat and so meaty! Other places will usually cut the rib portions in half and the ribs themselves will hardly have any meat on them. Longhorn’s earns your respect for the hearty portions they serve, and for that, I will return over and over again for the ribs.

How do you go to a steakhouse and order grilled chicken over pasta? I can’t tell you, but the Parmesan crusted pasta dish(with the $ 2.00 extra for grilled chicken) was so good, I had to bring home the left overs. It is a new menu item, and be forewarned: because it’s so new, not all waitstaff knows it comes with the house chopped salad(like mine didn’t know). I don’t remember the exact name of it, but picture baked mac n cheese, pieces of shaved Parmesan, grilled cherry tomato halves and the added grilled chicken. I felt like it was a pound of pasta in my bowl of a plate, however, the nice thing was the whole breast of chicken(sans bone), cut thinly and grilled nicely. The other people in my party ordered steak(of course) and one person raved how it was«melt in my mouth, like buttah» delicious. The other person, like me, had ample food to take home(loaded potato, steak, salad). Will I be back? To be honest, I was there because we were picking up the loaded potato person at the airport, and we all needed dinner. If I’m back in the Gulf Coast Center area, maybe I’d go back for a meal.

As long time customers we are highly disappointed the Texas cheese fries were removed from the menu. Come on Longhorn!!!

A Darden store tops out at 4 star. App cheddar stuffed mushrooms were very good. My burger combo was very good as was salad with house dressing. Wife had 6oz bourbon black pepper sirloin she said was great, side of asparagus was good. Over all service, food and décor was good. But Darden still sucks!

The Wild West shrimp appetizer is terrible and low class. Super deep fried, thick batter, little shrimp with low flavor and high salt. The dish was so obviously nothing more than frozen shrimp dumped in a fryer. The Outlaw ribeye, med-rare, was very good, albeit salty so be aware. The waitress was super nice and took the shrimp off the bill without is asking.

It was extremely loud, and the service was scattered/mediocre/they all seemed to bring out one thing at a time/reach across everyone for everything… ugh… it just felt like a giant cluster. It is not somewhere I would recommend for a date, or a business dinner.

I give this place 2 stars simply because it is not the worst steak I’ve ever had but its pretty close. Service was mediocre at best. Our waitress must have had somewhere else to be because she rushed us out. A couple of us still had forks in our hand when she took the plate away. Considering this is a steak joint, their steaks are pretty sad. No flavor whatsoever. If you can buy a slab of meat and cook it at home with no seasonings then you may as well do that instead of coming here.

Good steak, well-prepared(they got my order properly rare, which I love), reasonably inexpensive(two ribeyes and a kid’s meal plus drinks and tip were around $ 60. Not cheap, but not horrible), with good service. Overall, a good experience for a mid-tier steakhouse — you’re not at Bern’s, but you’re also not at Ruby Tuesday, either. The décor was interesting — they’re opting for a sort of generic cowboy/western theme, with Remington-esque statues and stars and horseshoes all in evidence. But it’s dressed-up a touch, enough that it doesn’t come off as cheesy.

Wow! We go to Charley’s in Tampa for terrific steak. Now, I can get a better than average porterhouse here. Wait staff is wonderful… Ask for Jean Paul or Christal. Jannel is the madam dee. Go there!
