Rusty’s Raw Bar and Grill – Fort Myers

Great little place near my parents home in Ft Myers, good fish and chips, good food all around. Great mixed drink prices. Nice little sports pub.

Two years on a row and very poor service. Rewards Card getting certificates or whatever they call them Good Luck.

I come here after my games with a bunch of people. Just like any other typical bar in fort Myers. Old folks, young folks, and then us. Since a bunch of us show up, there’s beer pong tables set up for us on the far side of the room. Drinks are minimal pricing. I haven’t ordered any food yet but I did try some fries off my friends plate. Pretty good. I had a blast hanging out with everyone and playing beer pong, sitting and chatting away. Bartenders are nice, servers are nice, and bathrooms are clean.

A sports bar. Actually, a fairly large sports bar.
All tables are high-​tops. The bar itself is a large rectangular shape with seats all around. TV’s everywhere and they do not moan and groan when you ask for something at the TV most convenient to your seat.
Servers were really good. Three of us ordered 3 different things. Grouper strips, shrimp basket, traditional hamburger. All generous portions. I was not enthralled with the French fries. I like seasoned, crinkle best, not thin and smooth ones so much.
We were told there is music on certain nights in season but I’d check with the staff first if that’s what you’re looking for.
We will be back.

Went at night, trashy college kids hang out. Just an awkward place, strange atmosphere bar tenders were nice… Would never go again or to any of them.

I am not kidding you when I say that I am writing this review from the toilet. I should have known better than to order oysters at a bar, but when you’ve got the name raw bar in your restaurant, they have to at least not be BAD, right? Not so much. I ordered a half dozen oysters, ate two, sent the rest back because they tasted off. That was last night. I’ve been sick from these oysters all day long. Eesh. Never again. At least the service was good.

Great happy hour specials and reasonably priced food. The wings are pretty good and I even had a salad here once that I enjoyed. Only thing I’ve tried and not liked was the loaded tots — way too much of that nacho cheese sauce. Just get the tots plain!

we tried this place from the recommendation of our neighbors. upon our arrival, we were promptly greeted by our server, nicole. she was very friendly and prompt. we ordered the fried pickles as we usually do at any restaurant that offers them. they were NOT GOOD at all. The batter disappeared and the pickles actually tasted like fish. we both thought this. we would definitely NOT order these again. nicole suggested we try the bacon wrapped tater tots with jalapeño. they were very good. for our entrée, we ordered the «big fella» burger. the macaroni and cheese that comes on it did not have any flavor to it at all, and did not enhance the flavor of the burger. my partner ordered the cowabunga chimichunga which was filled with chicken thigh meat and he says was not very flavorful. though our first experience was not the best, we will definitely come back and try different food. the atmosphere is bar like.

We went here because the name sounded interesting. This place is about as far away from a Raw Bar and you can get. Maybe the name came from it being a very raw place that is more of a bar then an place to eat. Since the name has the words Raw Bar in it, we thought we’d try the oysters. We ordered 6 because you never know what you’re going to get unless you’re familiar with where you are. These oysters were pretty bad. The last one had 4 or 5 large chunks of the shell in it. The sauce is not impressive. I was shocked how large the interior is and how completely full the bar was at 4:00 in the afternoon… and this is no small bar! It’s hugh and every seat was taken. Anyway, I’m crossing this place off my list. Never again!

This place went from young kids fighting and doing drugs to a bunch of retired, senior citizens. I guess the latter is better for business but it will be interesting to see what happens in the off season when all the seniors leave for the summer. It is not for me.

What great off beach grill. Good oysters and better peel and eat shrimp. Would have been a 5 if the wait staff was better.

This is a great place for food and drinks anytime, but $ 2 wells during happy hour is super. Appetizers are great, grouper basket is wonderful. Monday and Thursday 4 – 7, 50 cent oysters on half shell, large peel n eat shrimp and wings are the favorite.

Don’t let the sports bar theme fool you. These guys obviously care a lot about the quality of their food. They have some fabulous wing flavor choices including the sweet chili and east/​west. Very tasty. I always jump at the chance to drink Guinness on tap, because it’s about the only way to get a nice pint. Theirs was tasty and not too old. The piece de resistance was the oysters. 6 of the freshest, juiciest, tastiest oysters I have had in a long time. The waitress told me that they had bigger oysters last month but they were almost too big. I agree, if the oysters were any bigger you would have cut them before eating.
Lots of little touches show that they care about and listen to their customers. Example: each of the TVs are showing a different NFL game (Sunday) and they put a little sign under each one to let you know which game it is.
The Guinness and the oysters may change over time but the commitment to good, fresh food and customer service will likely not. I’ll be back again!

We have been here a few times. Food is pretty good but our waitress Margie is the best. Always making sure we had everything we needed. We will be back.
