I just love local history and couldn’t wait to do this tour… we were the last tour on a Saturday night and there was plenty going on downtown. Our tour was continuously interrupted by people who had a bit too much to drink and thought it was entertaining to interrupt our tour guide repeatedly. Despite that, our tour guide was quite informative and interesting. We learned a lot about the history of Fort Myers… history I’ve yet to delve deeper in to, but the tour left me thirsty for more.

I’ve taken 4 of these tours so far and they are some of the best times I’ve had around here. Who knew the history around here was so much fun? And it’s really great to walk around in the river district. You actually get to see it that way. And we got to really explore Matlacha for the first time on that tour too. Looking forward to the cemetery tour. Hear it’s awesome.
