While the service may lack somewhat the sushi is good but go when your not in a rush. If you have time this place with all you can eat sushi is awesome. The all you can eat sushi is ps led with rice to fill you up but all you can eat us 15 bucks do go for the 3 expensive sushis around 14 bucks and it’s worth the money

Placed an order online and didn’t receive my food after nearly 2hrs. When I called for a status update I was told, for the first time, that I was out of delivery range(6 miles away). After requesting a refund/cancellation I was promptly hung up on.

I went for the first time tonight with my friends. They had been here before for AYCE and were surprised to find the prices had been increased. When we went, the specialty rolls were B1G150% off, not a bad deal. My friend’s boyfriend ordered a few of those and was happy with them. Our server was friendly, but spoke minimal English, so questions about the menu were kind of difficult. My qualm with this place is that the vegetarian options are awful. I realize that vegetarians are not the target demographic for sushi restaurants, but most other places will have a good fee options and are willing to accommodate you. I ordered an avocado roll and asked our server to pick another meat-free option; she suggested the eel and cucumber roll sans cucumber, which is what I got. Firstly, the portions are pretty disappointing for the price. Secondly, both of my rolls were absolutely underwhelming and lackluster. I’ve had better sushi from Publix. Both of my rolls had three ingredients — seaweed, rice, and the one designated vegetable. That’s it. No shredded carrots, no asparagus, no tempura vegetable option, no nothing. I ended up sending it back and told our server I would pay for the miso soup I ate(which is included in the 2 roll dinner). When my bill came, I was charged for the miso soup(as expected) and my green salad that was advertised as $ 2 on the menu was actually $ 3. I didn’t say anything to the server, and I’m not stingy, but it would be nice to have the correct prices shown on the menu. I don’t see myself coming back here. One positive thing is hat the server was nice, she didn’t put up a fight about why I wanted to send my food back, and she offered me the other menu for Chinese food, which I declined.

First of, I’m Chinese and a foodie LOL so hopefully my review is more fair. The décor and the vibe of the restaurant was decent, better than a lot of Americanized Chinese food places. The service was pretty good, my server was pleasant and not overly friendly which I think can be annoying. She’s Chinese too and I found out the chef is also Chinese. I believe owner is American. I find their lunch menu very reasonably priced. It’s very rare nowadays to walk out of a sit down meal and pay less than $ 10 including drink and tip. I had their lunch menu pepper steak and I find the portion reasonable for the price and it was freshly made! I know it’s a weird complain for a diner but the amount of steak in the pepper steak was very generous! I personally prefer more veggies in my diet but hey, more meat means better deal! The meal was tasty(more heavily seasoned than traditional Chinese food) and the beef was very tender. It’s definitely Americanized but I would come back again AND recommend it to non Chinese! Just don’t expect a traditional Chinese home cooking. Another thing I liked about this place is that, they used little to none MSG, as heavily seasoned as it was.(If you’re not super thirsty after the meal then MSG was minimal to none) I have had many Americanized Chinese places that just too much MSG. I will definitely come back to check out their lunch sushi deal! I want to see how fresh their sushi can be!

Great food, shitty service. The delivery guys are awesome though. It takes a while to get your food but it’s awesome when you do get it.

I love how this place has an all you can eat special for sushi. The down side is that the portions are so off. On my first plate there was so much rice compared to the fish. I was pretty much full after that. I had another plate of shrimp tempura roll and it was such a smaller plate. It was good but just the portions of there food will get you.

They get one star for one reason well actually now that I think of it for a couple. For one! If I ask or any of your customers ask for a touch more ginger then give it to them. Don’t tell me you gave me this much already. Rude people! Second! If you don’t check your food when you get it take out half the time you ll be missing something. They messed up some sushi for my girlfriend and had I not looked we would have got home with not what we paid for. Consistency is what they lack they are very good at making the shrimp tempora role but are not consistent with the rest of their product. Their prices are decent compared to Destin so I often choose this place over Okinawa or any these other high dollar sushi places.

The food was okay, all the meals seemed a bit bland for my taste. This was the first time my husband had sushi and he loved it but I felt there was something lacking. I was definitely comparing to my usual back home and it wasn’t even close. The restaurant was clean and the service was good. The best sushi roll we had was the first salmon mango roll. The mango was sweet. We enjoyed it so much we ordered another but the second one wasn’t as flavorful, like the mango wasn’t ripe yet.

I have had the pepper steak and the beef dinner combos. They were tasty but but not great. The place is always clean and service us great, though.

Servers aren’t very informative. I don’t need everything to be explained but if there is something wrong with some of your menus and how some orders are written/pictured incorrectly, I expect to be told. Or at least BENICE. My friends and I used to come here for AYCE sushi(~$ 14) and now all of a sudden it’s ~$ 18.(Small portions) «Sweet and Sour Chicken» means fried chicken fingers with super sweet no sour sauce on the side.(also offered for kids’ menu, SAMEPORTION different plate and different price) When the menu clearly says KOREANBBQ, ask anyway what it means, because what they told us is that it meant KBBQSAUCE, not the meat. So if you do decide to visit, make sure you really ask about the food you want to order. Don’t get fooled by the menu, or the pictures. Also, don’t let the servers just ignore you every time they don’t know the answer to your question, because that’s what they did to us.

Food is good most of the time, but the service is terrible. I’ve been multiple times because of the sushi specials, but they have forgotten the sauce I ask for every single time. I’ve been at least 10 times & they always forget something. We’ve used the delivery service to Shalimar twice over the phone. They just opened up their online ordering and we ordered sushi. They gave my husband a call to say they don’t deliver to our house, which is exactly 5 miles away. When my husband said they’ve done it before, they got an attitude & said we weren’t in their brand new system. Like I said, the food is good, but the staff needs to finish high school & get some real job & people skills.

The best Chinese in Fort Walton Beach! I usually enjoy their Chinese menu for take out or delivery, but their sushi is also the best in town!

East online ordering. Inexpensive for what I got, 2 entrees, soup, egg rolls all for $ 20 delivered. The kung pao chicken was different, not as spicy as it should have been and lots of veggies but overall tasty. Very quick delivery as well.

I went there for the«all you can eat sushi» I was so disappointed with it. They take their own sweet time with bringing you the sushi. I’m like ok it’s probably going to be delicous. No It wasn’t .It is like getting the generic brand of sushi. I felt like our waitress was a bit rude not one smile. just like ok hurry up and order your food. While we was still eating our sushi thinking about should we get some more sushi maybe the next batch will be a bit different she comes out with our check like hurry up and pay .I felt that was rude. I will never ever go back there again. I feel sorry for that one fish in the fish tank looking all sad and lonely… like plz someone help me.

Oh man, I came here for the all you can eat Sushi and I left full and satisfied. The sushi was fresh and was severed in big portions. The waiting staff was very helpful and always friendly. Hard to go wrong here.

You were prepared for me to change my mind once but betcha were not prepared for this new twist in the China Taste saga. That’s right bitches! They went down baby, down to Chinatown(the bad part). So what happened? Let’s see, since I wrote that raving review in January, they have completely renovated the restaurant and now it’s 10 times the size it was before and looks super fancy and serve sushi unlimited. They kept the fish tank. But I don’t want a fancy fucking Chinese takeout place. I want good food at good value with good service, and an occasional packet of soy sauce or plastic spoon, and I want it fast. After the fancy renovation, they jacked up the prices by a lot. So what used to be $ 5 to $ 7 are now about $ 10, after a few MONTHS! Out of control price hikes. And the quality? Well, it went down. The food is unpredictable. For the same dish, sesame beef for instance, it could be good one day and horrible the next. The portions are also smaller, now the«large» does not fill the container and can last barely one meal whereas before I always had enough for leftovers. The service here has always been sort of cold. Few of them speak English and the ones that do never crack a smile even though I have been going there regularly for the past 8 months. I have stopped going there since February and now seek out Tokyo Express to fill the Chinese food void in my life.
