Some good things to know about this roaster! –All beans are less than 2 weeks old & most are roasted the week of. Costa Rica is particularly good. The one flavored bean — Maas Jazz(aka«Crack Coffee») — is very popular. –Redneck(hot latte): contains white chocolate, French vanilla, cinnamon, &2% milk. This is the tourists’ favorite. –Original Jef’s(iced latte): contains caramel, vanilla, & half&half milk. This is the locals’ favorite. –The Toddy Brew(cold press coffee) is amazing black. A ton of caffeine without a bitter taste.

These beans are not fresh. They arent kept properly. Leaving them to freely expose them in the air. Bought a pound. Opened it up in the car and reaked of 3 week stale beans. I own a prosumer machine and have been brewing espresso for over 3 years. Very disappointed in this place.

On vacation here and our first time at Maas. Just as expected the coffee concoctions we had were delicious and the service was super friendly! Will be back tomorrow :)

What a cute place to run in and grab coffee. The store is neat and clean. They have plenty of varieties available. The coffee was good but STRONG.

Nice little shop with good coffee and a friendly barista! The only downside is that my hot latte was served in a styrofoam cup which was very off putting. The whole time I was drinking it I was imagining the chemicals I was ingesting. Next time I’ll try to bring my own cup because otherwise I enjoyed my visit.

Pretty good coffee. This place is for people who love coffee. My only complaint is that I wish the coffee came in nicer cups rather than styrofoam… but don’t let that stop you from trying this place because the coffee definitely speaks for itself. Lots of caffeine for those who need it!

Coming from a big city where coffee is a big deal, this place matches up. Especially if you’re looking for delicious iced drinks with espresso you can taste and enjoy. Maas is craaaackin. I’ve had their Iced(soy) Jef which is full of flavor, not by any means, too sweet, and pretty much the bomb. I thought I would miss Philz coffee in Cali but ever since I found Maas, I’ve been good. Their redneck latte is good too if you like cinnamon! They have cold brews and local tea as well. The baristas are amazing and sweet as well as Jim, the owner who gives you a personable experience. For all you Starbucks lovers, I’m not hating but you definitely need to try Maas. Like go real. Plus you never have to wait too long. It’s one of those places you want to keep to yourself and not share with people who deserve good coffee. So ask yourself, do you deserve good coffee?

Friendly coffee shop with an excellent selection of custom-roasted beans from around the world. Seating is snug unless you take your favorite cup outside to the open patio area behind the shop. Very friendly service. Coffee…tea…hot chocolate… combos. Made to order. Enjoy with a fresh«housemade» bagel or pastry. Slow down and sip your savory selection.(If you have little ones with you… you might take your drink and bagel to the Fort Walton Landing Park directly behind the shop. Great little playground for kids and lots of shade. Restrooms too!)

The best! I went there a lot. Nice people and great beans. Try the redneck latte and for beans I highly recommend Jazz and any of the full city roasts. Wonderful place.

Great little place. Good coffee. My daughter loved the homemade hot chocolate they made for her. I enjoyed the«Redneck Latte». Later, I got a brewed cup of coffee. Everything was great. There is a park and small pier behind the shop. GREATPLACE to set and enjoy your cup of coffee. Oh and my daughter loved the playground too. While we were enjoying our drinks on the pier, a locally known stork called George came and landed near us. We had a fun time. Thank you Maas!

Maas coffee is an amazing place to visit. The cappuccino and drip coffees are the best in NW Florida. Sitting area is cramped unless you sit on the back patio which is my preference. The free wi-fi does not hurt either.

This is a real coffee shop! If you like that frap crap, then you may not be able to fully appreciate what Maas has to offer. Don’t get me wrong… they are perfectly capable of blending you whatever your taste calls for, but their true strength is being able to offer you coffee that is freshly roasted to perfection. If you want to know what real coffee is supposed to taste like, then I recommend you try their daily offering. In short, Maas Coffee Roasters is the best around town! You can also find their coffee at the Blue Collar Café, which is a cozy little breakfast/lunch spot that Jim(the man behind the roaster) is the co-owner of.

I was on travel in the area and always love trying local shops. I scanned Unilocal and found this place, which wasn’t too far from my hotel. It is a nice quaint little shop, but not the coziest place… not much seating and the outdoor area looked a bit run down. Based on some of the reviews I was coming in with high hopes, but was disappointed with my macchiato and cappuccino. The espresso tasted good but I had to wait 10 minutes for the milk to cool down. I over looked the first drink as a one time mistake so went back and ordered a cappuccino. I saw the girl take the steaming mug from the fridge without filling and and start steaming the milk. Once done she put it back in the fridge. the milk was again scorching and I find it horrible practice to reuse steamed milk! I would recommend going for standard drip coffee or picking up beans but I’d stay away from their espresso based drinks.

Maas coffee is the best around! I recommend it to any die hard coffee drinker. It is also great for the average drinker. All there beans are locally roasted. Friendly staff with good service.

Redneck latte is delicious! It’s a tiny shop, but the coffee is so worth it! It’s easier to park in the back at Fort Walton Beach Park parking and walk over.

Pretty much the only place to get a non-chain cup of coffee(i.e. not Starbucks) in the area. Coffee is pretty good, but not the best I’ve had. What makes the spot worth visiting is the cute backyard patio. Perfect for reading outside… Motown and classic rock was on heavy rotation, which was a definite plus.

I am a professed coffee snob, but this place lives up to all my weirdly high expectations. You can tell they take their coffee seriously: this isn’t one of those places with a huge case of Cheesecake FactoryTM style food things and trendy frappuccino situations. There are some great bagels, some muffins, and ALLTHEDELICIOUSCOFFEE. The espresso is incredible(it’s what they use at Café Liquid btw, which I love about this area). The daily coffee offering is so consistently amazing I want to just take the whole vat home with me. Every server there has been extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the roasting process, flavors, etc. I love the little back porch area to sit and read. Only wish they were open a little earlier for the workday coffee fix: but as it is, it’s more of a treat.
