I want thank Fort Washington Harley Davidson for the great customer service. I love my 2016 Harley Davidson Road Glide.
Most of the people that post negative post have not been to the store.
The customer service in this place is outstanding.

Harley Davidson of Wash DC is staffed with a friendly, personable and professional staff. I have purchased clothing, had accessories installed and regular service at the dealership. I have always been treated well.
There is no truth that the owners are supporters of the Nation of Islam or Farrakhan. An agreement with a group of bikers to use the dealership as a meet location for bikers attending an event in DC where Farrakhan was a featured speaker created an uproar. Many were offended with the belief that the dealership was a sponsor or host of the event. Not true. In no way were the dealership or owners a sponsor of the event or supporter as expressed by the owner and dealership. A mistake in judgement by the previous Manager — yes. A new GM was hired.
Also, Rolling Thunder, Inc. will continue their partnership with Harley of Wash DC. Representatives from the group announced their continued partnership a recent Ft Wash HOG members meeting. Also posted on the web page announcing the event for 2016.
I will continue to shop and have service work done by the friendly staff at Harley of Wash DC in Fort Washington, MD. They work for me.

Ft. Washington Harley is the best! Page Johnson the finance manager helped me through a difficult «seller assist «with a diplomat who had left the country.
Her understanding, helpfulness and professionalism are a credit to her employer. Everyone a the dealership was super friendly and helpful.
I drove up from Richmond to get the bike and could not have been treated any better.
Thanks folks and I will be back!

Unfortunately closed on Memorial Day but they showed their support for the military with a sign. An excellent selection of bikes.

Overall have had a great experience with a Harley Davidson here in Fort Washington. A friend recommended that I go to this dealership after going to another to purchase a motorcycle but couldn’t work a deal out. Jimbo helped me find my new motorcycle which I have had for 2 months now and absolutely love it. I did have a problem shortly after buying my motorcycle but the guys at HD took care of the issue. I must say the customer service here is great! Yesterday I went in the shop to buy a summer riding jacket and was greeted and assisted by a lovely young lady (wish I could remember her name) that assisted me from the moment I walked in until I was able to find a new riding jacket.

I can’t say enough great things about this dealership. Over the past 15 months my husband and I have bought both of our Harleys from Jimbo. He hooked me up with a phenomenal deal on my first bike — a 2007 Sportster — and we loved him so much that we went back when my husband wanted to trade his Road King in on a Street Glide. Along with hearty handshakes (and a hug for me!) Jimbo told us «Hey, you guys are FAMILY now!»
This phenomenal service is reflected across ALL facets of the dealership — from the crew back in the Service area to the well-​stocked and über-​friendly clothing section — we are ALWAYS greeted with smiles and provided with non-​judgemental, down-​to-​earth help when we ask. Other local dealerships that I see have been mentioned here (such as the «Patriotic» one in Fairfax) rubbed us the wrong way with their «snootiness» and condescending attitudes. I won’t beat a dead horse, but I’ll just say «Yeah, us too» regarding other reviewers’ bad experiences there.
If you’re in the market for a new or used Harley Davidson, don’t even think about it twice. FLY into HD Wash and get your new wheels from Jimbo! When I outgrow my Sportster «training wheels» you can be certain I’ll be visiting Jimbo for ride #2!

The Harley-​Davidson of Washington, DC dealership is in a class by itself from a customer service perspective — when compared to ALL of the other Harley-​Davidson dealerships that I have visited in the Washington, DC area.
As regular readers of this Unilocaler’s reviews may recall — I’ve been trying to buy a pair of H-​D Stealth motorcycle boots for several months now. The problem is — I have wide feet — and every single shop I’ve visited — either does not carry wide sizes, or they have some other boot in a wide size, but not the Stealth.
Every single Harley-​Davidson dealership that I have visited — all said the same thing: We are happy to order that boot for you, in the size you are interested in, but you have to pre-​pay for the boot. When it arrives, we will call you to come in and try the boots on. If they don’t fit properly, or you don’t like them, we will then charge you a restocking fee (most mentioned at least a 15% restocking fee). So, I am going to get charged a restocking fee for something that has NEVER even left their store. Great customer service all you H-​D Dealerships. NOT!

I explained my dilemma one afternoon to Whitney, who was working the motorcycle clothes section. Whitney told me she was pretty sure they would just go ahead and order the Stealth boots in a 11.5 wide and 12 wide sizes for me to try on — no pre-​payment required! They would then call me in 7 – 10 business days when the boots arrived.
Well, two weeks went by, and no word. So I called the dealership to talk to Whitney, turns out she had misplaced my phone number and was very apologetic about her error. But she told me the boots were in and they were holding them for me!
So I finally made it out yesterday to try them on. Whitney was very helpful and attentive, she laced the boots up for me, explained why there is a zipper on the boots and made recommendations for taking care of the boots. I tried on the 11.5 wide size — and they fit perfectly! I was so thrilled! Whitney took my boots over to the register for me while I shopped for other stuff — namely some H-​D t-​shirts. I came back to her to ask about muscle shirts. She told me they had some in the back that had come in and she went to find them. So I ended up buying several muscle shirts — and would not have done so had she not gone the extra mile for me! I also bought a «Softail Blvd» sign for my garage.
As I was being rung up by another employee, I introduced myself and the lady replied she was the general manager. So I took the opportunity to tell her what an awesome employee she has in Whitney, and that I wanted to thank her and the dealership for going the extra mile — and taking care of me — when none of the other H-​D dealerships would. I explained how the other H-​D dealerships had treated me with regard to the boots issue.
So — other H-​D Dealerships in the Washington, DC area — take note — this means you: Whitt’s H-​D (Manassas, VA), Patriot H-​D (Fairfax, VA), Grove’s H-​D (Winchester, VA), East Coast H-​D (Dumfries, VA), H-​D of Frederick (Frederick, MD), Battley (Gaithersburg, MD) — you would do well to learn from the example of Harley-​Davidson of Washington, DC — they just kicked your ass in the customer service and customer satisfaction department — and have earned future business from this customer!

Expensive most service staff are standoffish. Jimbo is awesome. Fun weekend events and rolling thunder weekend rocks.

Great customer service, great staff, and great atmosphere. I was greeted as a guest when I arrived, and treated like a friend the entire time I was there. I will continue to bring my business here, and refer anyone who asks about motorcycle stuff to check this HD dealer out. Excellent selection of bikes and parts. You will be impressed with this dealership once you step inside.

Recommended to be by some fellow firefighters, I went to Wash HD after a bitterly disappointing experience with Patriot HD.
These guys took good care of me, listened to what I wanted and provided excellent suggestions. They were reasonable, willing to negotiate and were very fair. Very refreshing to have a dealership that will provide their best prices without 1980s BS sales tactics (hello Patriot HD).
The sales transaction was quick, efficient and minimal attempts to ‘upsale’ on ‘extras.’ They of course have to try, but aren’t «richards» about the whole thing.
Anyway, I am the proud owner of a new (to me) Harley, and will happily do business again with (and recommend) these guys.

First time I went in for a typical service, they didn’t fill the oil all the way up and left the brake cables unsecured, not a total big deal, but still pretty ratty. Then I was totally stuck, bike not starting, etc and they were closest. Bottom line, they didn’t fix it. The bike didn’t start when I went to pick it up on two separate days, so I said screw it, and just took it to Patriot HD instead. I was told they they replaced the vacuum seal without replacing the gaskets or cleaning it or even really fixing it. Five hundred dollars later, I have to spend at least five hundred more just to fix the stuff they wrecked. THEN they might be able to get to the problem. IN the meantime, a breather bolt was cracked and the petcock now leaks. DO NOT GET YOUR BIKE FIXED HERE. I wish they had told me that they hated me and my bike, instead of just taking up my time and money.

This motorcycle dealer is good. They installed my new cab last year in my 1993 Harley. Props for working on a bike that old. Its annoying that most HD shops would prefer to bolt on chrome accessories that do real, actual, mechanical repairs.
Labor rate is about $ 85 an hour. That can add up quickly. Nice selection of clothing/​HD gear. Overall, this is the closest dealer iif you ride a HOG and you can trust them to get the job done right.
