This is my favorite bar in Fort Wayne. An exceptional beer list, great old man Irish pub vibe, friendly staff, and sometimes free popcorn. It’s small, but cozy, and we’ve always had an excellent time. When the weather is nice there’s a small patio that expands the seating. *Note — only beer(maybe wine?), no liquor. That helps keep this a non-college bar, even though they are right across from USF.

I love this place! Small, quaint, and a nice selection of beers. It’s located across the street from St. Francis College in Fort Wayne. Friendly staff and very helpful. Absolutely great! Can’t wait to come back!

Deer Park is nestled right next to the University of Saint Francis. I discovered this little pub during college when many of my friends attended school there. I love the atmosphere here. The owner is always energetic. It is literally a little room full of tables and a bar rail. Very intimate and you can see and hear everyone’s conversations. Craft beer galore. Tons of craft beer in the bottles. Limited craft beer on tap. That’s why I am giving it four stars. Wish they had a better selection to offer draft wise. I have enjoyed a few taco Tuesdays. $ 2 tacos. No, these are not anything special but hey they are $ 2. Karaōke is also a frequent occurrence. It doesn’t get much better than pitchers of beer and karaōke on a thirsty Thursday. Deer Park puts on a great St. Patty’s day. Tents outside. Tons of beer and it is just a great time. During warmer weather they also have a great little outdoor space… and we all love to enjoy a brew outside.

Craft beers? I guess if you like drinking out of a bottle they have a decent selection. Not much on tap. Half of their taps were empty. On tap there were your usual 8 staples, Stella, Samuel Adams blah blah. No didn’t see anything in it to suggest it was an Irish pub. Just really small really boring beer bar right next to campus. Could of fallen of my chair and went to bed.

This is a pretty cool bar that is placed in a very unique spot. tucked away in a corner just beside the bridge across from st. Francis. The environment is awesome, with things all over the walls! This place would have 5 stars but they missed the mark for me with the size of the bar and the service. Service was ok. There was one server who came to get our order and disnt come back again. I told her my range that i qanted to stay within on price and what type or beer i liked and ahe walked away to grab a random beer(which i have already had and disliked) opened it and sat it down… i told her i tried that and wasnt a fan and she said sorry. i paid for a beer that i wasnt a huge fan of. also one time and my friend had to go up to the bar to get another drink. When it comes to apace the bar dows have a very large outdoor area but when the whether isnt good it would be pretty tight in there. Beer selection was awesome tho! I loved all the choices.

This place just makes me happy. Everyone is so nice and the owner is often there to greet you with a smile. We frequent this little place often and their Taco Tuesday is always an option. Their beer selection is AMAZING!!! They don’t have food outside of Taco Tuesday and are supportive of local business by welcoming pizza delivery! We often bring our own chips and salsa to go with our tacos:) Super comfortable and laid back:) Surely one of the Fort’s best kept secrets:)

Best beer in town. All the bartenders are incredibly friendly, if you get to meet Tony(the owner) you’ll agree he’s probably the most likeable man in the world.

This bar is an absolute BLAST! Deer Park is a small little craft beer bar, but is full of fun! The owner is hilarious and super friendly, makes friends with everyone who walks in. If you like craft beer, the Deer Park Pub has over 100 craft beers, 12 on tap, hundreds in bottles. All of their beers can even be carried out and their carry out price is comparable to any Fort Wayne liquor store(selection is amazing). Highly recommend this exciting little place. Their slogan is: «A place to bring your dear for a damn good beer» how much fun is that?!

Headed here after a delicious Thai dinner at Mahnisa(sp?). We needed a cold beer to cool off our mouths from the chilis. A couple of draft Oberons did the trick. The bartender(not Tony) was charming and chatty. In July 2012 there’s some major bridge construction going on which is probably affecting the business at the Deer Park. We were two of about 5 folks in the joint. It looks like there’s a nice outdoor seating area, but it was a little hot, so we opted to sit at the bar in the AC.

I love me some Deer Park Lodge. It is a cozy little place tucked away in a non-descript location, directly across the road from the Univeristy of St. Francis. Oddly enough, though, I never run into the rowdy college crowd that you would expect. Though, I guess the rowdy non-college crowd shows up there from time to time. Two things to note about Deer Park. A) They have a great beer selection, and not just in bottles. They probably have about 10 beers on tap, that rotate pretty regularly. My crew and I know brew, but there always manages to be something new for us to try. Luckily for us, there are regularly beer specials, such as $ 3 pints, that faciliate this nicely. 2nd) The people. Tony, the owner, is friendly and warm and always truly happy to see you there. The bartenders are helpful, cordial, and don’t keep you waiting too long. And, the patrons are quick with an obligatory smile and head-nod. It’s not a place I go to weekly, probably mostly because of proximity. But I’m there enough to know that it is consistently a good place to get a cold pint and leave with a little cash in your pocket. (Halloween at Deer Park is legendary! Giant pumpkins beware!!)

So you say you’re a huge fan of 80’s pop culture and long for your own«Cheers» but happen to live in Fort Wayne, Indiana and can’t take the Boston commute? Well worry no more, my friend! It truly is a place where everybody knows your name… even if you don’t want them to. A friend of mine had heard of something called, «Dancioke,» which happened to occur at this establishment once a month. From that day forth she practiced her moves night and day so that when the time came(which happened to be her birthday) she would be prepared. We walked in, chose a beverage from their impressive beer selection and sat down awaiting the moment where our friend would bust a move in hopes of winning a t-shirt. The charismatic, «Tony Bologna,» then took the stage, welcoming everyone individually by name and told us it was going to become like«Foot-loose» in there very soon. My eyes darted around the bar trying to figure out which ones were the uptight repressed Baptists and which ones were going to feather their hair, throw caution to the wind and dance like they’ve never danced before. It wasn’t long before my friend took the stage and creepy cheers of «shake it,(insert friend’s name here)» began. It was then that we stopped wondering why this was the first and only bar we had heard of that had«Dancioke.» So if you’re looking for a place to drink with a great beer selection and people that will remember your name, it’s great. But if you’re looking to go out and dance as the center of attention surrounded by creepy older men, you’re better off going to amateur night at a strip club where you could at least make a couple bucks.

Great example of classic Indiana locals bar. Love the atmosphere and live music. The table tucked away in the old phone booth is my favorite place to sit.
