So I believe the bakery section of Nolt’s is the same as the Rise n’ Roll Bakery, and after hearing tons of people rave about it, I decided to grab a dozen as a thank you gift. This was possibly the best thank you gift I’ve ever given out– everyone appreciated it, and raved about the affectionately titled, «crack doughnuts». I tried one to see what it tasted like, and its possibly one of the best doughnuts I’ve had in the Midwest. Must be why Buzzfeed ranked the cinnamon caramel donuts on their«33 Doughnuts to Try Before You Die» list! In addition to the bakery, there’s also a great selection of various foods, many(maybe all?) sourced from the Amish. The people were super nice, friendly, and helpful, and I’ll definitely be going there again soon!

Heard about it several times now. Most recently my sons pre-school had a donut ordering fundraiser. We didn’t order, but we did stop there today to check it out. It’s small(about the size you would imagine a small family owned store to be) but it smells so good! They were very friendly. The deli are was busy and we tried 3 donuts. They had cinnamon rolls packaged to sell as well-might get some of those tomorrow?! We will be back to try lots of different things!!!

Great little market. They have a deli with cheese, meats, potato salads, etc. We’ve heard the wings are to die for so we bought some today and having for dinner tonight. They also carry pies, candy, snack foods, dairy, and spices. Then there are the donuts. Must try the donuts! They sell the cinnamon caramel donuts featured on Buzzfeed’s 33 donuts to try before you die. I recommend going early in the day if you want donuts or wings because they do run out!

I’ve heard about Nolt’s now several times from neighbors, so we decided to stop while in the area. They have a good selection of Amish baked goods, deli meats, bulk food items, and other specialty items that are from Amish related sources. We tried the cinnamon caramel doughnut holes and WOW… these are EVIL(read as tasty) little morsels that will take ahold of your soul and cause you to consume a whole box in a matter of minutes! :-) Also sampled a Cajun turkey deli sandwich on wheat and some of their potato salad. Both were delicious, meat was perfectly seasoned(not spicy). The sandwich and salad came to less than $ 6. They also have special items available on Thursday, Friday and Saturday’s. I’m told the BBQ ribs on Friday’s are very nice, so looking forward to attempting them in the near future.
