I’d give this place a negative review if possible. The owner is a complete idiot and will try to fight his drunk customers after he over serves them especially on quarter beer night. The music is horrible and it smells like an ashtray. Save your time and stay away!

Great place for live music. Both country and rock bands. It does allow smoking, but due to the very high ceilings and the fans it’s barely noticeable. Personally I prefer the non-band nights where it operates as a normal local bar with jukebox music, friendly bar-staff and specials on beer. It’s a shame more people don’t know about those nights as it can be a little empty — more space for me I guess(the place is pretty huge).

The owner is a terrible person. He threw a bag of Chex Mix and said I own the bar, grabbed someone to clean it up, and blamed it on someone else. The whole night his creepy friends were hitting on every female causing them to want to leave. I will not be back to this establishment.

Small, loud, and they operate on a basis of «just keep serving drinks». On their 25 cent beer nights it’s quite obvious that they over serve and never cut people off. Which not only shows a ineffective or incompetent owner, It also draws a cheap, rude, loud, and sometimes violent crowd. It is exactly the opposite of what a good bar is suppose to do. When a bar that’s not even located in violent side of town still has to have armed bouncers and security you know this isn’t a good place to be around. Stay the hell away from this place.

Went to a concert here. I have been to too many concerts to count at many different venues all over the country and I have never been to a place as packed as the rusty Spur was. I understand all the reasons to sell as many tickets as possible but the setup with the bar in the middle of the place blocking the view of the people in the back as well as packing that many people in with all of the cigarette smoke made it unbearable. You can make a short trip to Indy to 8 Seconds and see the same artists and have a much more enjoyable time. Also, cutting out smoking won’t hurt your business as much as your think it will. That’s been proven.

They would bring more customers INSIDE if they made the smokers go OUTSIDE. It’s 2015, smoking is dead, change your policies.

Decent place for a beer but even after spending $ 30 on dinner they won’t give you water for free. Great venue, sub par service depending on the server, but no water? What?!

I visited on a Wednesday night, quarter beer night. Had to go outside and come back inside three times because my friends kept disappearing. The third time the bouncers would not let me in because I had a keychain with a pill container with my own prescription in it. I told them I would go and get my prescription bottle; they told me they still wouldn’t let me in. As soon as the owner addresses what happened, I will revoke my low rating. As of now, I believe it is completely incompetent to not allow someone into the bar because they carry prescription medication they are prescribed to with them.

The décor is fun, the crowd is good, and they have their occasional good band. It’s a good hangout regardless, and it’s big enough to accommodate everyone. They are not within city limits, so you will be around smoking. Wednesday nights I would say is there best night and draws the biggest crowd, as well as the«usual» crowds. Five dollar cover, but cheap beer! You are probably going to see someone you know every single time you go on a Wednesday. They are also pretty packed around holidays, like the night before Thanksgiving or any other holiday. The 3rd of July I had to actually wait in line for like 45 minutes, and I’m pretty sure the entire night life of Fort Wayne was there. Typically though, it’s hit or miss. But you will see a really good crowd on a Wednesday or around holidays.
