Quickie Review: From good to food to good brew, Scotty’s is perfect for all occasions. While a student at Huntington University, and a resident of the 317, I was SO happy to hear when a Scotty’s was opening up in Fort Wayne. Since then, I am glad to see they’re still going strong with the same great service and tastes that I had known to love. I recommend the pork tenderloin, pizza, or really everything is great. You didn’t know what you were missing out on Fort Wayne! Scott Wise is a great guy and I commend him on being able to operate a successful business for Indiana keeping our taste buds local.

I worked at a Scotty’s in college and used to love the place. I’ve been to the FW one many times and every time I can’t figure out why I went back. The service during our last few visits was absolutely terrible. We sat at the bar for over 15 minutes before we finally flagged down a bartender who after taking our drink order, walked off and never brought our drinks. So we flagged down another bartender and had to ask him to serve us. There was no «what can I get you?» Or anything you would expect from a server. People next to us left after 1 drink because they were irritated by the lack of service. My beer was poured into a hot mug. Mmm warm beer. When our food came out, my wrap lacked 2 of the major ingredients and was very bland but no one stopped to ask how our food was so I just ate it. My friend’s dill chips were rubbery. On a previous occasion a salad didn’t come out with the rest of the food and our server said«it sometimes takes longer for certain meals» instead of admitting he forgot to order it. Scotty’s used to be known for great service… what happened?

I read through all of the reviews and almost skipped this place… And I’m a foodie! I guess I ordered well because I was shocked at the quality of everything in this strip mall sports bar! We visit Ft Wayne for skating competitions and this city can be rough for a foodie. I wish I’d found this place sooner. Grilled Romaine Salad: highly recommended. It seems that grilling romaine has not caught on in much of the Midwest. Somehow, scottys is doing it do well. My daughter, the vegetarian, expected to find nothing, but he black bean burger was as good as a veg burger can get. And Mac and cheese side was irresistible. We ordered two things off the seasonal menu: Boomstick cocktail,(strong and the BOMB!!!), and the Snickers malt.($ 1 went to charity). And you get to keep the glass too… Perfect to walk and eat your malt on a nice night. One reviewer complained that the menu was too big so some necessarily suffer poor quality… maybe. But order smart. I’m saw someone poorly reviewed a breaded chop … Really? you ordered that in a sports bar? Your fault. They clearly specialize in the burgers, Mac, etc on the menu.
