Steak ‘n Shake

We went through the drive-​thru to get milk shakes. With only 2 cars in front of us we assumed it wouldn’t take that long. 25 minutes later we still had no milkshakes. If we hadn’t have already paid we wouldn’t have waited. Dt employee was rude and asst. Manager wasn’t trained to do her job. We will not be giving them our business anymore

Absolutely horrible. I went inside because the drive thru line was packed. Inside it was equally as busy. Being in the service industry, I knew to be patient bc there was so much going on. After waiting in line for almost 20 minutes it was finally my turn to order. I ordered a western burger w no onions and s shake. The girl taking my order had to ask me FIVE TIMES what I wanted. Awful. My shake came right out…20 minutes later my to go burger followed after I’d already finished my drink. I was in a hurry so I left w my food. I wasn’t even around the block before I realized my burger had onions and it was cold. I quickly turned back around… waited another 15 minutes… and asked for a refund. The manager was short and rude and very unapologetic. Worst Steak ‘n Shake in Fort Wayne.

This is the first time I have ever left a review for anything online. The service and food was so terrible that I feel like I have no choice but to. When I first pulled up to the speaker to order the person taking my order could not seem to understand what I was saying. I asked them to repeat my order twice and they got it wrong both times. Pulling up I watched two cars drive away after dealing with the same issue. The wait was then a half an hour, after I got the food it was soggy cold and they forgot my drink. I went inside to get the drink and asked to speak to a manager. Appperently the manager wasn’t in. The experience was so terrible I don’t think I will ever go to another steak n shake. If I could I would rate zero stars.

There are 5 of us that came to eat. The waitress took the first persons order then left to do something else. Came back and took the second persons order then left to get drinks for another table. Finally came back and got the rest of our orders. Waitress was asked about how the Jamaican jerk tasted and the waitress didn’t know. Floor and ketchup bottles were dirty. I had ordered Cajun fries, which she wrote on the ticket, but I never received them.

I’ve stood at the counter for 10 minutes without someone even acknowledging me. I’ve been told to wait a second for 5 minutes in the drive thru. I’ve been given my shakes for carryout and watched them melt while waiting another 15 for my food. And the kids mess around in the kitchen, look at you and don’t even send someone to help you. I blame it on the manager. There’s trash laying all over the floor right next to the trash cans in the kitchen too.

Went in for the first ever (I’m from back east) on our way out of town. It was an interesting experience. We were seated promptly and got drinks quickly. After that, it was a nightmare. We waited 30+ mins for food after we ordered. The waitress openly ignored us when we tried to get info. The food was good, service needs some help. The manager not only apologized profusely, she also comped a couple of drinks. The waitress was extremely apologetic when she delivered our food. Would return again

We eat here a lot and had an issue with electrical tape in the burgers, don’t know how you can cook things and not know what your cooking. Cooks need to look at the food their preparing for the public.
Manager took care of making things right, but that incident is having us make a change to start cooking at home. If you eat here or anywhere else, please inspect your food carefully.

The prices are great. The food is tasty. Not as good as In-​N-​Out but for me that is pretty impossible to beat. The fries are thin which isn’t my first preference, but were still delicious. They give you a lot of them. The seasoned garlic fries were really good. I would come back all the time, but I won’t have that choice considering I live in Arizona.

Good food as always. The service was quick and efficient.
