The first star is because it’s right around the corner from my apartment. The second star is because the staff is some what friendly. Emphasis on the«somewhat.» It smells like stale smoke in here… definitely not a smell you want to take in when you want a relaxing pedicure. I’m pretty sure I’ll need to shower after this. There isn’t a bar in sight so I can only assume the smell if from their smoking. Ick! The manicurist did not ask me how I liked the temperature of my water, so my feet sat in luke warm — almost cold — water. And the callus scrub was a joke… it more like a callus rub; she more or less washed my feet. I sat, uncomfortably, for over an hour, as the manicurist took her sweet time on my feet. Final note: the tools she used didn’t sit in any kind of sanitary solution. Final note #2: «busy» for them is three patrons in the salon. Definitely call ahead and make an appointment before you go. But be warned, even if you do, they could call and push your appointment back. I take that one extra star back. Although they are nice, they suck at their job. Dont make the same mistake I did of coming here because it’s nearby. Drive the extra 5 – 10 minutes to Luxury Nails over at the intersection of Bellaire and Hulen.
