Ummmm, I love chicken-e but my last visit here was strange. I ordered the chicken liver meal like I always do and when I pulled up to the window I waited for a good 5 minutes before the cashier opened the window and asked me «what did you order?» .I told him and then he said«Do you know how long it’ll take». I said«ummmm…no?». and then he said ok and asked if I wanted a roll or biscuit. Very very strange interaction I thought to myself. And when I got home some of the livers didn’t seem thoroughly cooked and one of them was wet with grease. I hope. I may or may not come back to this location. depends on how bad I’m craving chicken-e. Hopefully when I move in April there will be a better location nearby haha.

*Note: I am a vegetarian, so my assessment of Chicken Express locations is primarily based on Sweet Tea and Fries. One of the lower priced locations in the area. About mid-level, taste-wise, compared to other locations. Friendly staff. This is a location where you will almost certainly have a staff member come to your car if the drive-thru line is backed up, so don’t be alarmed. It actually speeds up service(especially if you are the only person in line who is not waiting for meat to be fried).

They said it would be a 7 minute wait when I ordered the Catfish through the drive-thru and I said OK. It was at least 12 minutes when I got my order. The service was very friendly and the catfish tasted a little mushy but did not have that muddy taste I hate. Fries were soggy and the Jalapeño Cheese Poppers were good but I only got 3 little ones.

Employees all seem to be on parole and place is as poorly maintained as most Chicken Express locations are. Typical fast food — just average quality and good to satisfy a grease craving every now and again. Jalapeño poppers are usually the best in the fast food business.
