I had the carnita’s street tacos and they were great, however i had the beef burrito and it had no beef at all, it was basically a rice burrito I was not happy I almost walked back and told them… WORST BURRITO EVER!

Love this place! They come to my work once a week and I love getting food from here. I usually get the Rice Bowl with Asada and Barbacoa and I devour it every time. Good portions as well and definitely worth the price. Greasy, meaty goodness! Love it! They also have good tacos and the Burrito and Huarache are huge! My rice bowl usually makes 2 servings for my 12 hr shift buuuut sometimes I have poor self control and eat the entire thing in one sitting and then instantly feel regret as I waddle around my unit with a giant food baby. My rice bowl costs me $ 8 which may sound pricey but honestly all food trucks I’ve been to are pricey as well so $ 8 didn’t seem that bad in that respect. You can also find them on West 7^th in front of Durty Crow on the weekend at night. It gets pretty busy there after a certain hr but luckily at work my food takes 5 min to prepare and usually no line, yay! When it comes to food trucks, this place is definitely one of my faves! Especially if you’re a fan of greasy, lol.

this is that little food cart outside of the durty crow. i stumbled upon this place after a night of drinking. okay jk it was 8pm and my fatass needed some tacos and taco heads was not in its spot so i went to this place hahaha. no lines it was 8pm hahha fast service, they take card as payment woot. and the food was made really fast. glad the full menu was available some places dont do that. great food not the best street tacos ive had before but it was great and hit the spot. def a place id eat at again as i walk to and fro other bars hahah.

Maybe I ordered the wrong thing because my friend spoke about this place as if it was Heaven.
I got a barbacoa quesadilla. The quesadilla itself was lacking in flavor. The verde sauce they give you saved the day for that quesadilla.
I’m open to giving it another try.

I think about this place every time I stay out late on 7^th. I know everyone loves Velvet Taco and Taco Heads, but I don’t like paying $ 4 for a tiny taco. Chile Pepper Grill has street tacos for about $ 1.50, and they’re delicious and quick! I would try to go before all the bars close though because the lines can get really long.
This is a food truck, but there are a few picnic tables and some seats at a bar area. Aside from their street tacos, they also have quesadillas, burritos, and bowls. I’ve only tried the carnitas and the lengua, but I definitely enjoyed them. Be careful with the hot sauce though! They can get pretty hot!
I’ll def be back for my lengua, and I want to try the quesadilla or the burrito!

This is my favorite late night taco stop in this area. Some people swear by Taco Heads close to Velvet Taco but honestly, no matter how drunk I am, those tacos are not worth over $ 3. Over here they’re cheap and so much more delicious as well as they having a much larger menu and get your food out to you quick.
If you’re a fan of lengua then definitely try the lengua quesadilla. IT IS SO GOOD. My favorite regular taco would have to be the tripa and their habanero sauce is super hot so be careful and enjoy!

Awesome street tacos they beat everyone else at the competition. I will definitely eat there again if given an opportunity.

We got there at 11pm and were super hungry, we got their spicy pork, marinated pork, carnitas, and pollo tacos & the veg tacos. All were very good

Really good tacos. Be sure to get there early before all the bars close or you’ll have a very long wait! I enjoy street tacos and this was the best place I’ve had street tacos in Fort Worth. Variety of options, they have more foods to choose from than tacos. Next time I’ll try something else off the menu.

These are some of the best street tacos I’ve ever had. Their competition, Taco Heads, ain’t got nothing on them! They offer tacos (corn or flour tortillas), burritos, quesadillas and you can also get bowl for a much lighter healthier side. The best, and my favorite is the chorizo taco, its flavors smell and taste delicious. They are so cheap too, at only $ 1.25 for one taco and a side of rice for .50 cents these things are a steal.
It’s located outside of the Durty Crow off West 7^th street so it brings in the drunken munchies. I’ve had these tacos both sober and drunk and they kicked ass both times! You won’t regret coming here, but I wouldn’t recommend it for children because it does bring in a drunken rowdy crowd.
They offer picnic tables with heat lamps next to them, and a small little home built bar area, perfect for late night people watching.
Cheap tacos with amazing flavors, count me in every day!

We didn’t want to wait in line for Taco Heads so decided to give this truck a try. The barbacoa torta was pretty good! The barbacoa was tender and the bread was soft and buttery. The tacos were pretty good too.

Some of the best Mexican food you will ever have. Always FRESH, they don’t precook any of their meats. Every person I have introduced to this place says they’ve never had better tasting tacos. The tacos are seasoned to perfection and the salsas are just the right level of hot. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food with a Mexico City slant, this is the place for you.

So after a bit of drinking at the nearby Lola’s Saloon (
), Harry O. and I needed some food and a warm place to eat it. We ran through a few of the local, walking distance, dine-​in eatery options, but we rejected them all for one reason or another. Then we remembered the food trucks typically parked behind The Gold Standard (
) on 7^th.
Well not knowing what we might find, we were happy to see the Chile Pepper Grill parked directly behind The Gold Standard. While perusing the menu, another patron shared a tip with me: tripas. Now I’m not ordinarily an organ meat kind of guy (save for the occasional fried chicken liver or pan fried calve’s liver), but I was buzzed and hungry enough to say, «Why not.»
I ordered three tacos; the tripe, a pastor, and some kind of shredded beef. We took our food into The Gold Standard and ordered some drinks from the bar.
First thing I notice is double tortillas, so that’s a good start. Every taco was delicious, and not one of them jumped out at me as stomach. I really had to work to identify the tripas, mostly by appearance as the texture was great. The tripe taco was a bit saltier than the other tacos, but it was good. Very good.
Now I usually like to complain about price point for street tacos, and at around $ 2 a pop I would usually do so, but I found these tacos to be particularly good so I’m not going to complain about price.
Bottom line: Both Harry and I were please with our food truck selection.
Disclaimer: As mentioned, I did have a few drinks at Lola’s, so the alcohol (and I suspect the cold front blowing in on the 19^th) most definitely affected my appreciation for the Chile Pepper Grill’s food. With that in mind, I do hope to make it back again soon to retest my findings.

I’ve been south of the border a few times. This is pretty close to authentic without being to bland to offend american tastes. I think the meat is pretty well seasoned and not over cooked. They do make their own tortillas. I’ve seen them. This place is outside wired willy’s and the golden standard. Its across the street from Pour house. Personally I think the price for these tacos is not that bad. $ 1.75 a taco is pretty good considering that taco head sells them for $ 2.50 and they are not half as good. Be careful with the hot sauce because it will light you up. Enjoy!

Good Tacos — Better when Drunk, but overall good flavors and great salsa
These are pretty good street tacos coming from a food truck that is parked at the Gold Standard on 7^th St. in Fort Worth. They are almost authentic, but they are small tacos and they charge a lot of money for what you get. $ 1.75 for a simple taco which should cost around $ 1.25 in the dfw area, or $ 2.50 for a deluxe taco with a flour tortilla that should cost around $ 2 anywhere else. That said it is late night food and when you are done drinking a few tacos will be just right. Here the salsa is very good and they serve your typical Mexican Tacos, from Pastor, to Chorizo, to Tripas (intestine), to brisket and Barbacoa… the deluxe tacos are right on with a Choriqueso, alhambre (meat, cheese and peppers), hawaiian, and other specialty tacos. If you are finishing up your night and see this truck I would say go ahead and stop and eat a few tacos! You wont be dissapointed.

Chile Pepper Grill really puts a good front up for what it has to offer. They talk about specializing in regional Mexican cooking, but I have had some bomb grub based around that large piece of land South of the Border. Furthermore, they are cranking out tacos, which, nowadays, seem to necessitate some unique sauces or fried goodies.
They are cranking out Mexican street tacos, but they are subpar, to say the least. The tacos boast nothing more than some mediocre, overcooked meat and a heavy hand of cilantro and onion, so as to make the taco look presentable.
I am taking up numerous lines because tacos are so intrinsic in the idea of trailer hopping. The chicken tasted like a game meat, the beef was extremely underseasoned… and the tortillas were crumbly. Not in a good way. I don’t think they were homemade. If you are going to offer mediocre meat, you gotta make your tortillas from hand, man.
Maybe I just had a bad experience. Perhaps there are some items that may boast a bit more character and truly represent what they are trying to do here… As for me, I will not return unless summoned upon. There are far too many more prestigious joints around to grab a bite.
