This is such an amazing restaurant. One of my favorites in the entire metroplex so I’m shocked to see it doesn’t have at least 4.5 stars. Cool vibe. Delicious food. We were there last night and adored the basil margarita, guacamole, the duck tacos, the fish taco and the tres leches cake. Perfection!!!

This place is really slow. We were waiting for over 1 hour to get tacos. They also have poor customer service. Never coming here again.

Food was not spectacular. Over priced and breakfast buffet till 3 on a weekday is just weird. Plus for 12 dollars you’d think there would be meat in the selections. If there was I didn’t taste it. I wanted actual tacos not brunch. But that’s only on the dinner menu. Won’t be back

Fort Worth is lucky they didn’t close. I would give it more stars if I could! The food is outstanding — authentic, fresh, flavorful! Can’t find anything else like it. Their all-you-can-eat breakfast taco brunch is to die for & they make the best margarita(served up AND on late night happy hour) I’ve ever had!

Exceptional corn tortilla tacos, tried Lenqua, carnitas and shrimp. Gourmet quality and very filling. Excellent service, can’t wait for breakfast buffet.

This instantly became my favorite spot in Fort Worth! The Taco Buffet is a feast of fresh, homemade goodness. The«café de hoya» coffee is the best coffee I have ever had. This place has the potential to become my second home.

Great food, terrible service. Menus were not taken away after we ordered. After we finished our meal we sat with empty plates in front of us for some time, I had to stare down my waiter who was talking to the chef, to get him to approach us about getting our bill.

I saw this restaurant on tv and thought that it would be a great place to eat and to be honest i was dissapointed. The food was very overpriced, the service was terrible. We had to ask for napkins about three times, our water was never refilled and the food in reality was not good at all. As a Mexican American that travels to Mexico 3 times a year this place does not resemble any of the real food and tradition at all. If you step into this restaurant be ready to pay a high bill.

Loved the food, drinks and ambiance of this place, can’t believe I have missed this lil gem! Did have an issue finding parking but they did let us know they have back alley parking. The decorations are definitely very fun and make the place seem authentic. We ordered their revolver margarita and it is hand mixed and shaken and the flavor is amazing! This margarita is a must! We ordered their pinche taco Tuesday special of $ 2 carnita tacos and also ordered their al pastor and calabaza tacos that are regular price. The tacos do take a while to come out as «la Tia» is making the tortillas and pressing them but they are worth the wait! Overall the tacos were amazing and flavorful. We finished our meal with a tres Leche cake slice — as some patron sitting behind us had a piece during our meal and she just kept saying how amazing it was and better than anything else she has ever had– so of course we had to try! Well it definitely was amazing and very rich and creamy. This is a must try place. I will say the tacos are small so just be prepared when you see the size.

We had a group of seven on a Saturday night. There were only two other tables taken in the restaurant, but still it took over an hour before we received our food and another hour before we finally received the check. Also, be prepared to pay $ 5 for a small, street taco. The tacos are good but definitely not worth the price and wait. Now I understand why this place has struggled to stay in business.

I love this place. The drinks are amazing and the food is authentic and homemade. You can’t find food like this anywhere in DFW. Love this place.

I was extremely happy with this find on W7th last night. The food is authentic Mexican and was excellent! We started off with very well crafted cocktails. The Serrano and the cucumber basil margaritas were perfect. They also have a good wine list. Had a nice red blend with dinner. Guacamole was fresh and the queso fundido with shrimp were wonderful appetizers. Star of the night for me was the traditional chile en nogada. Love this dish. Perfect amount of heat balanced with the sweetness of raisins, cinnamon and topped with pomegranate seeds. Only negative would be that service was a bit slow but we didn’t mind since the food and drinks were great and we were enjoying the night with good company. I wasn’t here for fast food anyway. These guys obviously have a passion for what they do!

I’ve been trying to get to Revolver for months now. I had to make a mad dash there once I heard their lease would be running out on 6⁄30 and were moving. The lady that served us said the lease has been renewed for 7 more months! We walked in 15 minutes before closing, so the place was empty. My husband got the pastor tacos and I got the arrachera. One would say: 4 tacos for $ 15 *jaw dropped*? Really? Those tacos are made with love though. The little ladies in the back making everything fresh including the tortillas by hand. As soon as they start cooking and you smell the aroma of the food you just want to get your grub on. I look forward to coming back to Revolver!

Wasn’t too fond of this place. I initially went bc I saw it on tv but when I actually got there it was completely different and most of the items I saw on TV were no longer being sold. Everything was WAY overpriced. I bought the top shelf margarita and it came in a martini glass. $ 15 and I didn’t even get a buzz on an empty stomach. My girl got the $ 28 steak which was tender but pretty small. I got the appetizer platter the chicken was very tender but everything seemed like it needed to be seasoned more. Total spent there was $ 111 on 2 people and I was very disappointed.

If you have an old onion, please walk in and throw it as hard as you can at the owner. My gf and I ate their and it took two full hours to complete the process as follows: 1. Wait 15 min for anyone to acknowledge us 2. Order cocktails that I assume were made with pure gold bc they cost $ 15 a piece 3. Wait an hour for our food to come to our table 4. Expecting a lobster and crab quesadilla but getting a microwaved cheesy gordita lower than Taco Bell grade(literally Taco Bell was better) 5. Gfs tacos had bone and cartilage in it 6. Getting the $ 80 bill and having the owner tell us that their credit card machine wasn’t working 7. Having the owner ask me to run to the ATM machine across the street to get cash(which was broken)…but don’t worry, he called his satellite restaurant to run the bill after a 2 hr ordeal! 5 stars!!!(3 star Michelin rating!) Jk, I had my gf call to ask for a discount bc I couldn’t stop saying the F word. I still get visibly upset every time we drive by… I wish I knew someone at the BBB

I’d say this place is legit in terms of authentic mexican cuisine. The service was awesome, the chips were a little hard for my liking but the guacamole was fresh, but damn… the duck breast tacos were delicious. Very filling! I took a look back and noticed it was older latin women making the food. It must be all the TLC they’re putting into it. I also enjoyed the sangria and it didn’t taste watered down and was definitely a creeper drink. The music was real smooth with some old school Hip-Hop and house. Only complaint I’d say I have is the pricing. Typically, mexican joints I’ve been to has been pretty cheap. I kind of felt I was in D.C. paying for overpriced Mexican but at least this restaurant is worth it for a night out on occasion.

Incredibly overpriced– skinny glass of margarita was $ 10. Guacamole was great, again overpriced and we had to ask for more chips. We split the whole fish plate because the waitress said it was her favorite and would feed 2– it was not great(very fishy and small where you had to navigate a lot of bones) and we ordered the carnitas tacos because it was not enough. For the price of the entrees, we thought it would come with rice, beans or even more lettuce than it did. Nope. We left kinda feeling ripped off and hungry– and I hate saying that! There’s potential here. I am from San Diego, CA and am partial to my Mexican food. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

I couldn’t wait to write this review for Revolver Taco Lounge. We ate there for the first time last night and had a wonderful experience. Our reservation(four people) was at 7:00 and we were seated promptly. Gino was our head waiter, however, this place is family-owned and the entire group works as a team to both serve you and prepare the food. Although not the fastest service, it was very friendly, and Gino went out of his way to help us order and deliver the dishes so we could enjoy each item separately and in a proper order. We agreed to start with the Guacamole(spicy) and Ceviche Verde. The guacamole was smooth, creamy, and spicy(not hot) and served with homemade chips for dipping. The Ceviche Verde was AMAZING — served on skewers was albacore tuna chunks, mint, and sprouts with a delicious green sauce. I could have eaten all five servings plus about another 10 plates or so! It was THAT good! Next, we ordered Jalapenos Rellenos, four jalapeño peppers stuffed with melted asadero cheese and chorizo. They were served on bed of black bean purée. Gino explained, «you take a tortilla and place the pepper in it, roll it up, and dip it in the bean sauce.» Delicious! Next came the Grilled Red Snapper Tacos — the fish was grilled over mesquite wood. These were the best tacos of the night although the Pork Tacos weren’t bad either — not greasy or heavy. I ordered the Ceviche Mix since the Ceviche Verde had been so good. This was an interesting mix of red snapper, scallops, onion, tomatoes, habanero pepper, and cilantro with lots of fresh lime juice. Another hit! For dessert, we split a large flour-like tortilla that had been deep fried, then warmed on the griddle and slathered with cinnamon and molasses. Ever we were all stuffed, this was also too good to pass up. The margaritas were good, but served in «Tom Collins» glasses, however, the«top shelf» margs came in martini glasses. This place is somewhat pricy but each dish is crafted as you watch and I seriously doubt if there is anything on the menu that is not wonderful. Don’t go here if you are stressed and in a hurry to eat as Gino’s family moves at its own pace. Parking is in the back and not the best, but easily worth an evening at Revolver Taco Lounge. Okay, when do we get to go back?

Let me begin by saying that the reason they are getting a 4 instead of a 5 is because their uncomfortable seating at the bar and the expensive tacos. Pros: 1. Friendly staff members, especially the bartender. He let us taste the Serrano margarita since we were hesitant on it. He suggested places in Fort Worth to visit, recommended dishes and hung out with us. Which I appreciate when I’m visiting a city. 2. The tacos are the bomb. My husband and I tasted the tongue and head. Both were tender and flavorful while the head had bits of fat. Yum! The tortillas are some of my favorite I’ve had. 3. Their guacamole is good and while we ordered spicy, it wasn’t too spicy. You can tell they make their tortilla chips in house. They were thick and crunchy. 4. For our entrée we shared the Birria de Chivo. Omg good! The goat meat was tender– no knife needed. It came with tortillas, the broth the goat is cooked in, and onions and cilantro to make our own tacos. I surely did! The broth was so good, I could eat it like a soup. I will be going back for this dish alone. Cons: 1. The tacos are amazing but expensive. I found a taco place in Dallas that has head and tongue tacos that are just as good and way cheaper. 2. The bar stool is extremely uncomfortable. They even addressed it when we asked for the bar. Considering they know this, they should change the bar stools. Also, there is no foot stand at the bar.

If you are interested in quality over quantity, then this is definitely the right place for you. We finally found a not salty and non-greasy Mexican restaurant in Fort Worth. We didn’t have to chug water after our meal. The sauces, spices and ingredients complemented each other very well. You can taste the freshness of each ingredient and not just food covered in massive amount of creamy sauce or oil. We started with the Flautitas de Pollo. My hubby got the Arrachera tacos(steak skirt) and I got the Camaron taco(tiger shrimp). We both loved our dishes. The steak skirt was very tender and the shrimps were cooked just right. If you are into spicy food, then be sure to ask for their habanero sauce. You can actually taste the spiciness and not the saltiness of this sauce. The only improvement would be for them to add more veggies in the tacos. We missed Happy Hour by two minutes. It is 4−6pm every day and you can have $ 2 tacos and $ 6 margaritas and sangrias. We will definitely be back to try more dishes.
