Seemed ok initially. Staff was friendly. When I reserved online the local store called and gave me an overview of my unit(i.e., price/size and make sure this is what I need regarding size)…great customer service method to connect and understand my needs as a customer. However after finally getting to the store 3 days later to sign the lease, to my surprise an additional monthly fee… there was ABSOLUTELYNO mention of any additional REQUIREDINSURANCE. I was pretty irritated they took time to do all that initial customer service contact but DIDNOT elaborate on any additional MANDATORY costs. They didn’t tell me until I started signing my sections on the lease agreements paperwork. If they would have said something up front or disclosed the insurance information I would have been more accepting of it being mandatory or likely just went to another storage place. They should have disclosed additional fees when they called. Infact, I called 2 different times(to change unit sizes) and still NO mention of any additional costs or mandatory insurance… they only mention the $ 22 admin fee, which is mentioned clearly when reserving. I HATESURPRISEFEES, ESPECIALLYIFTHEYAREMANDATORYEACHMONTH. The online fee is a joke… you actually wind up paying the regular rate«x’d» out with the cost of the insurance added(and more if you add on the higher insurance premium). NOTHAPPY.
