I have been to the Ghengis Grill several times, but it has been quite a few years since my last visit. A few things have changed, but overall I was very satisfied with my food and the service. Both the hostess and the table server asked if we had been to the Genghis Grill before. Our answer was«yes», but in reality we still needed to re-learn the ropes. Bowl sizes are small, regular, and large. A regular bowl is $ 12, which seemed higher than I remember. And it’s no longer«all you can eat». I was concerned about this at first, but MANN the regular bowl was a TONN of food. I usually finish my plate and this was more than I could do in a sitting. The fun of the Mongolian grill restaurant is the mad scientist recipe creation. A outlet of this, a lot of that, few dashes of the rest. And who can resist a cool spice like Dragon Salt? Also, I was happiest with my concoction of any of my visits here, which I decided is the key to this place. It’s hard to complain about the food when I created it. Gotta say I kicked ass this time. Four stars for Genghis Grill(and me)!

Finally, I got my chance to see what all the hype was about. My daughter and I decided to give this place a try upon her brother’s suggestion. We were a bit put off by the meat sitting out for people to dig into to build their own bowls. The waiter suggested the regular bowl, which was $ 12 by the way(overpriced). He also suggested that we fill our bowl to the brim with the meat and just pile the veggies on top. We obliged and certainly happy that we did, we got $ 12 worth on the meat alone, lol! Anyhow we built our bowls, added the seasons and sauce and left it for the cook to prepare. It took them about ten minutes and our food was on the table. The concept is cool because we enjoyed our food and maximized on the flavors we most enjoyed. I just didn’t appreciate the meat sitting out like that, yuck. There was a decent variety of meat from pork, chicken, beef, and seafood. I believe a $ 50 tab for three people(one a toddler) was a bit much to have to do most of the prep work for your meal. My tip is to get the small bowl and fill to the brim with your meat and pile the veggies top!

I love this place! Being vegan I love being able to select my favorite vegetables with the dragon sauce and some steamed rice! If you are vegan or vegetarian make sure to let them know so they can clean the grill. Also be clear to let them know of any allergies, like an egg allergy so you don’t risk contamination! Great clean place and recommend this to everyone! Living in California where there is no Genghis Grill, I actually miss this place!!!

One of my favorite places!!! Good rewards plan too!!! Fresh ingredients, and plenty of options. The staff is always on point! Oh yeah if you want to jazz up your bowl, ask for cheese. Ok there goes it being healthy!

This location is one of the better gengis grill’s. The servers are attentive. This time I had a visit by a manager and 2 staff, multiple times. A couple of gotchas that I’ve learned from 30+ visits to various locations generally fixing the same type of pepper steak/pepper crab bowl each time. The food is prepackaged. They have such a variety it’s a necessity. It’s a reality that in order to make it easier to serve they need to order more and more prepackaged food. At the time of this writing Pineapple is in season and they are serving the stuff that comes in the kids fruit cups at Mcdonalds. To curb this problem they have been adding on a 2nd sauce bowl to the plate. The sauces are great but it’s not going to make up for lack of fresh ingredients. When alerting staff to you allergy needs, they write your allergy on the card(sometimes a different color of card). The cooks see something like«Egg» written on the card and they go out of their way to add Eggs to in your bowl. So make sure they write something like«Egg Allergy» on the card.

It has been a while since we have visited Genghis grill. They have changed it up a bit. And I don’t think for the better. Instead of 1 size of bowl there are now 3 different sizes. The kids, small, and large. The addition of the kids I get, don’t waste as much food. But the large bowl, I don’t see why that is needed. I got the small bowl which was the same size as their old 1 size bowl. And I was able to pile it high enough to make me very full. The meat selections have also changed a bit. Now have a fiesta chicken, and the marinated white fish is now a bigger tray in their selection. But the biggest change and to me biggest disappointment is they no longer have shrimp. Vegetables were fresh looking. Sauces were abundant. Food came out quick. And the waitress was super friendly. I truly feel this deserves a 3.5(the shrimp was my favorite part of this place) but rounded up for the staff.

Let me say when this place first opened it was amazing. It got too complicated and I didn’t care for the changes to their bowls(the design) and sometimes have had half asked service. Also sick of getting i’d everytime(from 35 – 40 years old now) and taking grandmothers time getting me a beer. Aside from that its very good.

My brother and I went there last week. We ordered two separate dishes but we both got food poisoning. Safe to say we will not be back to any of the restaurants of this chain.

Great service. You basically build your own bowl. Good variety of ingredients to choose from. Decent pricing. Appetizers are good as well.

Genghis Grill Fossil Creek rocks! The crew is always totally awesome with servers like Aaron, Alex and Jasmyn and manager staff rocks, Tim is always totally awesome with me, he always takes time out of his day to ask me how I am doing. If you want good food with awesome service this is the place to go!!! Its Asian food with a spin!!! You can make rice bowls, noodle bowls, even burrito bowls with Tortillas and cheese. You never know what you are going to get until you get there. The food is always fresh and fully stock and if you need something all you have to do is ask!!!

I have been here several times. My experience is usually the same every time I go. Pros: Good food Clean buffet area Affordable Meal Kid friendly Cons: The Staff-not so warm and friendly The Tables-almost always dirty on top and/or underneath Overall, I’d go if there was nothing else open.

It was my first time there. The process of how to order is confusing. The grill master did not speak English, so I got a blank stare when I asked a question. The inside was dirty, and the staff was very standoffish and unfriendly. They do have a large selection of foods you can mix and match. My food was very dry. The only reason I went was for a secret shop, and I will not be going back. I’d rather spend more money and go to Benihanna.

I will start off by saying this is probably my favorite restaurant in Fort Worth. GG is a chain restaurant, it pretty basic as far as restaurants go, not remotely fancy. A great place to just stop in and have a customized stir fry style meal for a pretty low price. This place is everything I could possibly want in a restaurant, you pick out exactly what you want in your meal, down to the meats, veggies and pasta. They give you a bowl, you fill it with the amount of the various ingredients available via a buffet style line, pick a sauce and spices and hand them the bowl/sauce(combined plate) and they cook it for you while you wait at your table for them to bring it. We have a favorite server Jessica, who we always ask for her section when we go. If you like the customization choices for your food, this is a great place to try. I personally always go for Beef, Scallops, Green onions, Mushrooms, salt/pepper, Noodles and the Khan sauce which has a nice little kick to it! I would go to this place every day if my wife would let me, but alas that’s not the Case :)

In other Genghis Grills we eat no-starch menus. The other places always offer us an extra bowl for veggies. This is the only place that charges a $ 4.00 up-charge for each additional bowl. Plus the lady told us that we are restricted to only one visit through the line. We eat at a lot of Genghis Grills. This is the only location we have ever seem that does this. This makes me sad because we live so close. 1 star for not wanting my business, and taking financial advantage of people on diet restrictions.
