Tried a delicious Toluca burger with fresh, hand-cut fries and a fountain soda for $ 21. Pricey, but delicious. Fresh buns, fresh everything. The peppers in the burger had an interesting spice to them. Initially thought I was going to suffer from it, but it was forgiving in the end. Interesting museum next door.

Very easy to find place, just go past Montgomery Plaza on Carroll street it’s on the left side. Right away as soon as we walked in I loved the vibe, 60’s music playing on the radio cool as heck décor, we just felted like we stepped into the a different time zone. The lady at the front counter greeted us and gave us menues and told us to just find a seat and when ready come up to the front counter to place your order. The menu had lots of great selections and some great choices for vegetarians. My wife ordered the creamy chicken sandwich and it came with fries and to drink a strawberry milk shake. I wanted something spicy so I went with the tijuana burger and I ordered fries and a strawberry milk shakes and banana pudding. Knowing that their shakes are super thick they brought us to cups of water. My wife loved her sandwich it tasted nice and light just perfect if you don’t want to over do it. My burger, prepare to get your hands dirty there’s nothing neat about it there will be creamy garlic sauce poring down your finger and you will lick every bit of it, because it tasted great. My burger tasted nice and spicy & huge! The milk shakes tasted amazing with a hint of cinnamon powder to bring out the awesome flavor. They gave us to go cups to put our shakes in because they were huge. Last but not least the banana pudding was the perfect ending, not too big just right size. Our total bill came to $ 41.37 and worth every penny. They also had a very cool museum display of the Leonard’s department store from back in the day in another large room. We will come back to checkout other great choices in their menu. Afterwards we of course went shopping around the Montgomery plaza area.

Great place to grab a burger. Had a King George Burger! Really tasty! The owner and waitress are really nice and friendly. The owner would come and ask us how we are and recommend things to eat. I will definitely be going again. The place is small, but it’s a really great atmosphere.

Ordered the chicken fried steak with 2 sides. Got green beans and fries, and they still charged $ 1.50 for the fries. Steak was saturated in grease and the beans had an awful taste. Don’t recommend this place at all.

When your in Fort Worth and craving some local burgers try M&O’s station. It is a one of a kind, there is not-repeat, not another place that offers this caliber of burger. There are so many varieties to choose from, and they are all so good. My favorite is the Toluca burger. This burger is guaranteed to satisfied the cravings; it is hard to describe, but combines spice with flavor. A warning: if you happen to eat this big boy and not get your hands dirty then I tip my hat off to you because it is not possible. It is a very tasty quality burger, only in Fort Worth Y’all…

Burger hunters ****Beware, I was very disappointed in our visit here, After hearing how well they do in the Fw burger battles. Lows: we got here at opening and there was no one here that spoke English to properly take our order or allow me to pay. Greasy, super messy, no seasoning, weird fries odd flavor. Customer service was passable once ownership showed up. Way overpriced Highs: after I deconstructed my messy burger I ate the bun with chipotle mayo… That was good! Overall: We won’t be back, we will go to shaws, jakes, or Tommy’s

$ 15 for a burger that wasn’t even made the way I ask! Very greasy, the bun fell apart! This place is over priced for what you get!

Best veggie burger in town! What makes it is the bun. And the patty. And the mushrooms! Oh, and the smoky chipotle mayo! The fries with spicy housemate ketchup are not to be skipped. It’s a pricey burger but you’d pay the same at Fred’s or other similar establishments for the same quality and size(they’re huge!). Fun diner environment in a quieter part of town. While you’re waiting, check out the Leonard museum next door.

We visited M&O in an ongoing quest for the best burger in Fort Worth. It’s an unassuming place, off the beaten path, but worth the visit. We were greeted immediately and enthusiastically, and the waitress walked us through all of her favorites on the menu. I opted for the Tijuana burger, the hubs got the blue cheese and bacon burger, both of which are ‘stuffed.’ The patties are hand packed, just like you’d make at home, which I like(I’m not a fan of the burger mold trend), and well seasoned. The buns were super fresh and tasty. My burger was stuffed with a delicious mix of poblanos and garlic cream cheese, and garnished with chipotle mayo and sliced avocado. It was a juicy, drippy, delicious mess. The sweet potato fries were crispy and not too greasy, and went perfectly with the house made spicy ketchup. The only ‘miss’ was the strawberry shake, for which their ‘secret’ ingredients are brown sugar and cinnamon… neither of which pairs very well with strawberry. It’s the first time I’ve ever seen the hubs not finish his shake. Note: While waiting for food, diners are encouraged to walk through the adjoining(free) museum for Leonard’s Department Store. I recommend waiting until after your meal, however, so you can spend a bit more time, as there’s so much of interest there!

Had to work extra hours on the weekend at the office so the boss decided to buy us all lunch. I ordered the King George hamburger with sweet potato frys. I ate the frys and liked them. Then I unwrapped the hamburger. It was drenched in oil. This burger was more like a soup falling apart with the bread so drenched in oil. That’s sloppy and nasty. Not impressed with the quality or the thickness of the burger. The King George was far less appealing than the typical Whataburger. I can make a better burger at home. This was trash!

All Internet sources claim they’re open until 9pm, but they’re not. This was my second burger choice after Kincaids, which is also closed. What’s up with all the early closing on Saturday night?

It’s hard to find an great, old fashioned burger joint where my carnivorous family and I can enjoy great burgers together because I’m a vegetarian. BEST veggie burger I’ve ever had! AND there was more than one option for type of veggie pattie. Hidden gem…

Wow! Great burgers. Hand cut french fries out of real potatoes. FRIENDLY staff. Great museum to visit while waiting for the food to cook. I had 4 teen boys with me who were fascinated with the museum. One boy said, «Chili cheese burger best burger I’ve ever had.»

Went for our first time recently and would probably give it 3.5 stars. The burgers were good but won’t make it part of my go to burger spots. Service was ok and price was average to other burger joints. We were the only patrons and staff/owner? Didn’t seem to take much interest.

I haven’t been to M&O for several years now and it was time for a return visit. I sure am glad we did stop it. The burgers were fantastic. My wife ordered an «original» and I ordered the chili cheese burger. One of us had fries and the other onion rings, so we could share. Both of the burgers were outstanding! They were what a «homemade» burger should be. This was my wife’s first time at the restaurant and she definitely wants to return. The fries and onion rings were some of the best we’ve ever eaten. They were HOT but not greasy at all. Rose and Danny know what they’re doing and run a first-rate establishment. My wife and I had a wonderful time browsing through the Leonard’s Department Store Museum next door to the restaurant. It was a stroll down memory lane for me since Leonard’s was such a big part of my life growing up during the 50’s and 60’s in Fort Worth.

This is really a hidden gem of Fort Worth. No really, it’s hard to find because it’s so far down Carroll St. you would think you’ve missed it. Plus it faces the opposite way traffic is moving, they really need to put some signage on the other side of the building. Attached to a Leonard’s Department Store museum, you can eat and dive into the history of one of Fort Worth’s legendary department stores(it’s super interesting by the way) The burgers are delicious, and their fries are greasy and«heart attack like», but probably some of the best fries I’ve had. I can’t just recommend one burger because they all add something different to your pallet. So you’re just going to have to go with what your gut tells you. It’s a counter service restaurant so order at the counter, receive your number and then sit down anywhere you would like. When you’re finished, be ABSOLUTELYSURE to check out the museum attached to the restaurant. It’s totally cool, and you learn some things about Fort Worth not always taught or told in the mainstream history. A few tips: In addition to their lunch, they are now open Friday and Saturday nights for dinner and it’s BYOB(not during lunch though!) They also cater… so have an event and support the local burger shop!

What would I do without Unilocal, seriously? After spotting M&O here a while been back, it has been on my radar ever since and I am happy that I finally checked this place out. Some quick observations — this place is set up like an old school diner, a place you would feel comfortable ordering a milk shake or a root beer float with your burger, so will probably bring back some good memories for the older crowd(looking forward to bringing my dad here). You also order and pay at the cashier with the food being brought out to you later. OK, now on to the good stuff, the food! After having the Blue Cheese Burger just the week prior at another great burger joint in Fort Worth, Chubbys, I figured I would stick with the trend and order Blue Cow Burger at M&O. The burger featured a nice portion of blue cheese and two delicious, hand shaped patties that had a great flavor to them. Combined with M&O’s «Hamburger Sauce» it is quite obvious why this place has received such high marks, just a great burger. Another thing I really liked was that the bun is a bit thinner than most other places, so you don’t get that feeling of biting into too much bread when you are trying to devour your burger. The Girlfriend went with the Original and enjoyed it as well. The hand cut fries were quite fulfilling as well. Enhanced by a a nice flavor and texture, you really cannot stop eating them once you start. Combined with the hand formed patties, the hamburger sauce, the great fries, this place definitely lives up to its billing as one of the best in Fort Worth and will probably be my go-to burger stop on this side of town.
