I am ruined. The best pizza, kosmic karma. The best salad, enlightened spinach. Joey and the people at mellow mushroom know what they are doing. Going to try Thai with tempeh next. You gotta go, if you haven’t. Don’t wait like I did.

Must have their homemade pretzel breadsticks. The dough is soft but cooked just right. Served w marinara or can add cheese sauce. Favorite pie is the buffalo chicken pizza drizzled in bleu cheese.

My favorite pizza by far! The parmesan crust is so so good and the atmosphere is unique. The ONLY complaint I have is the service. It takes a really really long time for your food to arrive even on a not so busy evening.

The pizza was good. What’s really good here is the atmosphere. It’s a groovy, but not too groovy place. They have a jukebox and a bar area. Lots of photo ops inside and out.

Wow! This place was delicious. I got a Mediterranean pizza and it was amazing. The crust was perfect and the basil olive oil that was on it was delicious. Our server was friendly and attentive. All around great experience I will return.

Incredible unique PIZZA made to order. My husband and I eat here often and it never disappoints. Full bar, free team trivia on Tuesday nights, and a great menu!

Mellow Mushroom is always a good call. This location does not disappoint! You can count on MM to have: A solid beer selection… CHECK! This location had a lot of local beers as well. Delicious pizza dough… CHECK! Ability to split your pizza… CHECK! We did a veggie and house combo. 10⁄10. Laid back atmosphere… CHECK! This location had all the essentials. And the wings were pretty good, too.

I try and try but I just don’t see the appeal! The parking is horrible, the service is just alright, the food is nothing special so I guess it’s just the college students that love it as a hangout!

Came here on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch; wasn’t busy but wasn’t dead either. Extremely slow(and forgetful) service is the most memorable(and frustrating thing) I gained from dining here. For our appetizers, we ordered spinach artichoke dip with half pita bread and half garlic bread, and the bruschetta which was prob my favorite out of everything we ordered except the bread it came on was no longer crispy and toasty Bc the juices from the balsamic and tomatoes soaked it all thru, making me assume that it wasn’t freshly made. We also ordered 3 medium pizzas; the Thai dye, cosmic, and house pizza. Large slices with burnt bottoms making it difficult to cut into(we split slices with the kids since they were so HUGE!) and made it kind of cardboardy when chewing. The flavors were okay but nothing about the flavors made me crazy about it and I don’t think I’ll ever crave it. Overall, we didn’t have a memorable time here. Between the food and the service(or lack there of), I highly doubt I would ever be back.

Made from scratch pizza so don’t expect it to be a quick meal. When you order it they start making it so it’ll take at least 35 minutes for your pizza to get to you so not recommended for a lunch break. You could call ahead and get the pizza going before you get there if you want speed. The pizzas here though are worth the wait. I liked anythjng with mushrooms here but I’m also a fan of classic originals. This is perfect for a meal with an old friend because it gives you plenty of time to chat and catch up. You place your order and have plenty of time to get reacquainted and eat delicious food. All without the awkwardness of staying at a table for longer than the end of your meal. I find that I do that frequently with friends, yup we talk a lot, and sometimes it’s nice to have a slower restaurant in you back pocket for those occasions. Located close to blue bonnet circle where you can get photo opps with the decorated fake steers. Super close to the popular university street area and TCU. Will be back.

Amazing dough in their crust but nothing much else to cheer about. The pizza needs more cheese probably. The pepperoni tastes too healthy. Maybe just the wrong pizza place for me since the box advertises health food. I also ordered a philosopher pie which was good but not at that price. I figured it would be around 22 bucks but I wasn’t informed at the high price until I came to pick up. That pie was $ 27 .57 and the pepperoni was $ 22 something. Way too expensive. Nizza pizza is better and cheaper. Two speciality pies for $ 40

Mellow Mushroom just gets pizza right! I’ve come here a couple of times, and every time Mellow Mushroom has met my expectations. The Funky Q. Chicken is by far my favorite, followed by the Kosmic Karma. The pizza is bake to perfection and is not overly greasy. The pizzas do take about 35 minutes to be ready, and it’s something they mention when they take your order. Waiting the 35 minutes is definitely worth it for the quality of pizza they bring out. Our servers had always been wonderful and the décor of the restaurant is fun and quirky.

I have always loved Mellow Mushroom and I always will. I first started eating here when I was soft vegan and craving pizza. Being the only place in Fort Worth that I knew wouldn’t look at me weird for order my pizza without cheese, it quickly became a favorite. The Kosmic Karma is hands down my favorite. I get it just about every time with a few additions sometimes, but even on its own it is fantastic. The mega veggie is also another favorite. If you love broccoli and other greens you will wanna get this pizza. For real though, the crust is where it is AT. Hands down some of my most favorite crust in town. If you take out delivery places, it IS my favorite crust. It’s chewy but crispy and the seasoning is perfect. Mellow is a great place for friends. It is a very relaxed environment and the pizzas usually take 30 – 40 minutes to make so get ready to sit and chat for a while. I hear they have a good beer selection, too, but I don’t drink so I would not know!

I decided to give this place another try after my last horrible experience with this place. The last time I had a pizza here it was dry and hard as cardboard. I absolutely hated it. It was nice that the manager messaged me and offered a discount in order to give them a chance to redeem themselves. I did not show them my voucher til it was time to pay so their service was unaffected. I originally tried to call in to place the order for my pizzas ahead to cut the waiting time we’d have sitting there. I wanted the Jerk Chicken Pizza which is a specialty at this location, also listed on their online menu, but the girl who picked up the phone insisted that they didn’t have this pizza so I just decided to order when I got there. Our waitress, Jade, was friendly and reassured us that Jerk Chicken is on the pizza list here. We got the pretzel appetizer in one of each of the 3 flavors; Parmesan, salt and garlic, and cinnamon honey. In the description they say that they use pizza dough for the pretzels but they were so soft and chewy, it did not make me think of pizza sought at all. The cinnamon honey was my absolute favorite while the Parmesan lacked flavor. The beer cheese is good as well, not too salty, perfect for dipping. We ordered two pizzas to get a better taste of what they had to offer. I honestly dislike the Maui Wowie here, it just isn’t fulfilling as some of their other pizzas. It was partially why I gave it such a bad review the first time. This time we went with the Jerk Chicken Pizza and Philosopher’s Pie. I highly recommend the Jerk Chicken! It’s flavorful and goes well with the red base. The Philosopher’s Pie was good but fell short in comparison of the other pizza. I also could not pick out any grilled steak listed in the toppings but that wasn’t a huge problem. Much better experience as well as much more delicious pizza. The crust and dough was soft and chewy and all of our food came out in less than 30 minutes. Thanks for convincing me to give this place a second chance.

Yum. I’m almost certain, although I know they’ll never admit it… But there has to be some type of non FDA regulated highly addictive illegal drug laced in this food!!! It’s so delicious. I had the Maui Wowie, it’s by far my favorite. The spinach artichoke dip is amazing I’ve been to three different locations and always get the same great food and awesome service. I’ll be back for sure.

We came here on a Sunday because we had just gotten in from being out of town all weekend and had no plans to cook. It was pretty dead inside and we grabbed a bar table. Our waitress was a blonde female bartender and I forgot her name but she was EXCELLENT. We ordered our beers and she ended up letting us take our pint glasses as they were extra from a tasting event. Sweeeeeet. Our pizza was delicious! I had the veggie which went beyond most with broccoli and artichokes my husband had the mighty meaty. That sucker was filled with meat!(Twss?) very tasty Parmesan crust on the hand tossed dough! Affordable although more expensive than delicery because duh, quality. Totally coming back again soon!

Mellow Mushroom pizza is, in my opinion, unrivaled. I grew up in Atlanta where the chain was started, so maybe I’m a little biased, but honestly, the pizza is always piping hot, the crust is thick and delicious, and I’ve yet to try anything off the menu that I didn’t like. Pro tip — you can get a half and half pizza if the sauces of the two different ones are the same. For instance, I usually tend to sway towards a half House, half Mega-Veggie. And speaking of veggies, they actually have a surprising number of vegetarian options here, including a variety of apps, pizzas, and sandwiches(and the typical salads). They also sport a gluten-free menu which is actually substantial enough to give you options. Not feeling pizza? Get a hoagie; they’re equally delicious and a price friendly option. The Jerk Chicken is my personal favorite, and my dad is very into the Tofu. They have a happy hour from 4 – 7PM, and at least on Fridays they have $ 2 margaritas and $ 2 wells. The margaritas are actually very good, and for the price how could you not try one anyway? The two downsides to coming here: parking and wait times. Their designated parking lot is so tiny, if you come on a Friday or Saturday night don’t even bother trying to get a spot — be prepared to park on the street. If you come on popular night, wait times for a table can be dauntingly large, due to the long wait time for your pizza to come out. They do make the pizzas fresh, which can sometimes lead to a 40 minute wait for food even after you’ve sat down, so order an app to tide you over until then!

The place is nice. A great location. Lots of college kids around. Our waiter was a cool dude. He was always around and getting us whatever we need. We did come at a non busy time though. Still good service. The food: average. meatball hoagie — good. Meatballs were average. Sauce was good and thick consistency. Not watery and soaking the bread. I could have used more sauce though. The bread was really good. Crispy and toasted. Baked portabella mushroom– looked better on pictures on Unilocal. The taste was just ok. Wasn’t my thing. I asked for more balsamic glaze to give it more flavor. Pizzas — the meat is of better quality than most pizza chains. But I don’t think I would call it gourmet though. And they didn’t have a wide variety of meats. Just your regular stuff. The main thing is… The price! For just above average pizza. We spent quite a lot. For a medium pizza cost almost 20. We spent $ 60 for 2 medium pizzas and 2 appetizers. I don’t think it tasted too different or outstanding for that amount. We may come back 1x a year or something. But not frequent.
