I nice donut shop in north Arlington. You can get a good assortment in the morning. There aren’t that many shops in the area so it’s nice to go in on a cold morning and grab a dozen to take home. They even throw in a couple of holes to go.

Where else, other than a generic looking donut shop with names of the likes of «Donut King» or «Donut Palace» can you sneak out of with a hodge podge of terrible goodness for under $ 5? Nowhere. The apple fritter here is crusty, with just the right touch of sweetness. The donut holes are moist and sweet. Lastly, the chocolate donut is… standard, and by that I mean, you can’t really go wrong with anything covered in a chocolate glaze. Unless it is a piece of steak. Then again, you add wine to the«chocolate glaze», and you find the steak to be phenomenal. On your way into Arlington or Fort Worth, find your way into this shop early. And if you are headed back into the dry county of Arlington, this shop is conveniently located on the border and open until 1PM for those liquor junkies who have crossed into«Cowtown territory» to buy yourself some of the Texas glorified liquid: alcohol.
