Wow. I used to love going to this place. That changed tonight when the bartender with glasses singled my group out because we are Asian. I’m saying that because it was 1:50am and we were just playing shuffleboard and he specifically looked at us and said«last call was awhile ago». We shrugged it off and kept playing then a few minutes later he said it again and directly looked at us again. Made no sense because there were at least 20 other«non Asian» people there at the bar hanging out and talking. It’s ridiculous how one racist tainted yalls venue. Btw we did order from the bet too when we got there

I’m a local pool player. This place has some of the best pool tables in town. Playing on them was like playing on butter. Cues were in pretty bad shape, almost all of them had lost their orignal cue tip, some were even cracked. They had two tables, so its going to get croweded, but you have a pretty good chance of making some great shots. The felt is very responsive, no rips or tears. The rail is in pretty good condition and they have quarter slots so you don’t lose your place in line to play. The tables in this place are definilty the highlight. Bathrooms are great, you can keep up to date on what local bands are playing west 7th and fairmount by walking into them. Prices are the usual for downtown bars. The bartenders are pretty nice, i’ve never had any problems. I’m not a big drinker so i’m not sure whatsup with their beer selection, but if your a pool player, GOHERE! People who say smoking is lame are probabaly right, but you can’t go anywhere in the fort thats cool that dosen’t let you smoke. SO CHiLL The only reason this place didn’t get 5 was because the pool cues were in horrible condition… all the ends were broken or busted up, and the cue tips were those cheep ones you buy in a pack of 20 that glue and slip on to the old tips.(those suck)

Nice little spot. Nothing crazy, but a nice classic pub to relax over a nice selection of beer and liquor.

Decent beer selection. Staff would rather light a smoke than help. And when you want a glass for your bottle beer, you poor it yourself… Really? And change the music and carpet! Hip hop in an Irish pub?

A good place to hang out and have a few beers. Smoking is allowed at this place. Bartenders are friendly. Be careful if «Big T» or Tony is working. He is known to add to the tip. Pay cash.

It’s nice little chill spot for drinks! I don’t think I have a negative thing to say about this place. This place and staff are all about chill. It’s nice, I recommend this little place!

I came here for St. Paddys Day– totally dead! Maybe because it was a Sunday night? AND no specials for the holiday. WTH. The bartender was very friendly. He offered us samples of this new ‘goose beer’. For the life of me all I remember about it was the goose head tap handle and a 312. There’s a few pool tables and darts. Don’t know if I’d go back. I wasn’t impressed with the bar but the service was great.

I walked in with a friend on St. Patrick’s Day bar hopping downtown and I wasn’t impressed. It’s quite a large space and when I walked in, the bar seating was pretty empty. Being St. Patrick’s Day, I assumed there would be something special going on but there was nothing. The ambiance was kind of dim and lacking, it just made me sleepy. But that aside, there is plenty of seating and plenty of games to play while drinking and the staff there is fantastic.

Nice little dive bar and good place to hang out with friends. Good selection of beers, even a cider. Couple of pool tables. My only beef with this place is the smoke. I live in Dallas and have gotten spoiled with smoke-free bars. When I was here(11 pm on a Saturday) there were relatively few people in the bar. However, I almost choked on the smoke when we walked in and I reeked of smoke when I left.

This is one smokey, smokey joint, so be ready for that. Aside from that, there is a decent selection of beers, limited draft options, and standard bar games: darts, pool, and fooseball. The bar service can be slow at times(clearly helps to know someone). Even if you have been there many times, tip very well, have been up to the bar many times… doesn’t seem to matter, the service can truly be lethargic at best. One of the few places that has Foster’s Oil Cans, so that’s a plus, and when there’s lines in other bars next door, its a good place to stop in to use the bathroom and get straight to a urinal… yeah… true story…

This has got to be one of the best little dives around. Now, the service wasn’t the best, the drinks were good(which isn’t hard to accomplish), but we were out bar hopping for a birthday, so it’s whatever. The GREAT thing about this bar is that it’s not crowded. At all. Ever. We had a group of about 15 people(ish?) and made up the majority when we went in. Little crappy tables and chairs, which you’re welcome to move around to accommodate your group. Hmmm… there’s not much to write about bars. But give this one a shot when you’re around.

Rick O’Shea’s is definitely a dive and thus why it is possibly my favorite bar downtown. It is rarely very crowded, which is great. The selection of beer & liquor is surprisingly good for such a dive-y atmosphere. It is smoking, so once it gets busy, it will get smokey. The bartenders are great in the not-so-friendly-at-first kind of way. Internet jukebox.

Rick O’shea’s was conveniently located walking distance from the Omni so we decided to go there on our drinking escapades first. So this is a dive kind of place which is why I immediately liked it. I walked right in, sat down at the bar, and ordered up some vodka. The bartender was good about getting the drinks to us, but I sensed a bit of the«who the hell are you two» vibe from him. Don’t hate bartender guy, I would totally be a regular if I lived in Ft Worth. The place has a few pool tables in the front of the room, lots of tables so you can seat a big group of your friends, a brand spanking new Golden Tee with the flat screen(uh, it takes credit cards for God’s sake), and a random smattering of patrons of all ages and walks of life. The place was definitely not packed from 8−10pm on a Saturday night but it was filling up nicely by the time we left. Smoking is allowed and even encouraged since they do have a ciggie machine in the back by the bathrooms. Oh speaking of the bathroom… I was fascinated by the top of the toilet because it was made of laminated paper and blue painters tape. Classy! Anyway, this is the type of bar I love in Dallas so it only makes sense that I loved it out in Ft Worth too.

Out of all the bars I’ve been to in Sundance on a weekend night, this is by far my favorite. No cover, wide selection of draft beers, and plenty of tables. The music isn’t deafeningly loud and they have a good amount of pool tables and dart boards. The only problem I had with the place was their dismal jukebox selection. Blink 182 and Limp Bizkit? 1999 called, they want their bad music back.

For a Wednesday night, I wasn’t surprised that this place was dead; it was almost ghost town dead. There were a few people here and there, but it looked like people who were in for the drink specials and later moved onto other more fascinating places. So for the specials they had really cheap domestics along with a variety of Saint Arnolds! If those aren’t your type, they also have a pretty wide variety of beers. It’s no Flying Saucer, but it’ll get the job done. The bartender hooked up with the shots as well. Our group had a wide variety of great tasting shots, so order a round for your friends!

This is your classic dive bar. Cheap drinks. Nothing pretentious about it at all. There are a couple of pool tables, dartboards, a foosball table, a jukebox, TVs scattered about, a couple of those annoying bar-top coin-operated video game machines, and a Golden Tee machine or two. There’s a long bar running down one side with barstools, and tables and chairs scattered elsewhere. No table service whatsoever. Like all good dive bars, this place is fairly dead until late. The place doesn’t really get going until about 10:00pm on weekend nights, when it can get really packed. It can be difficult to get a drink from the overworked bartenders when it gets like this. I think Pete G mis-read the crowd a little bit. While there are certainly lots of out-of-towners here(and more to come as the convention center ramps up, I’m sure) this is first and foremost a «regular» bar. Big favorite of the hospitality crowd. Word of warning: This is a very smoky bar. Quite possibly the smokiest in Tarrant County, which puts it high in the running for smokiest world-wide. If you spend any amount of time in here(especially on busy weekend nights), you WILL smell like an ashtray when you leave. Items of clothing that you might normally try to get several wearings out of(jackets, sweaters, etc.) will have to be dry-cleaned before you can wear them again.

Clean and friendly. A little too clean, perhaps; more of a sports bar vibe than a pub vibe. It could have been the bright lighting. Felt like it was geared more towards out of towners staying at nearby hotels. There’s nothing wrong with Rick O’Shea’s, I just don’t imagine going back.
