Wanted to try someplace new for a birthday/fathers day dinner and the menu here looked really interesting. Very casual place — you instantly felt comfortable here. Music was great too. Tried the fried pickles and spartichoke dip. Have to say — best fried pickles ever and I’ve had a lot in my life. Dip was good too, but just a little too spicy for me. Tried the pollywog, which had a good raspberry flavor and didnt really hit me like I thought it might(you’re limited to two), but it was tasty. For entrees had the mahi mahi which was just a touch dry but I would still order again. Came with sides of veggies and black beans. Couldnt finish either of them and they were just ok. Others had the brisket tacos which they said were good. The only miss was the philly cheese steak sandwich — very dry which seemed odd. But the menu is so extensive we will definitely go back

Great sports bar. Awesome shrimp brochettes filled with their special artichoke dip with jalapeños all wrapped in bacon. This dish came with rice and beans. I added a side salad and it was perfect. I’ve not tasted such tender shrimp and delightful seasoning in a long time. This place has a patio out front for extra seating. Service was top notch from Kelli. I will definitely be back.

First time here. My wife ordered the smothered chicken. It was so thin it had only one side. The red mashed potatoes tasted like instant and green beans were frozen. I ordered the brisket tacos and they were good but on any real taco truck they are 100 times better and 2.00 at that. The food overall was just your run of the mill food. I can’t believe the reviews. Maybe I’m just a food snob or you can go ahead and say it … I’m a a– hole. Earthier way I might not come back unless I try the mudbugs. After getting home I was half asleep when it hit me. Violently ill. Throwing up for about 4 hours. I was so sick that night, I couldn’t talk for the next 4 days and my chest and ribs hurt just as long. Not sure if it was the food but due to the experience I’m gonna say it was anyway.

Nice Casual Hang-Out Spot. I recently discovered The Bottom after an event at TCU. It’s a casual bar atmosphere, with a few flat screens and stainless steel tables, both indoor and outdoor seating and a menu with a big variety. We tried the Alfredo Pasta w/Shrimp, Black & Bleu Burger, Huevos Rancheros and the Shrimpiladas. All really good. The Burger was thick and juicy, the Shrimp was not over-cooked, and the Huevos Rancheros and Shrimpiladas were just what we had hoped for. This feels like a pub for Professors and a place where students would eat with their parents when visiting. As for me, I will certainly go again.

Crawfish was great. I ended up eating most of the two pounds. Fried shrimp great too. Alissa was good, kept an eye on us to check if we needed any. Go check it out. You will enjoy the meal

I visit this place a few times a year, generally during crawfish season. Usually the service, food and drinks are great. However, last night the service was absolutely terrible. I have NEVER been treated so awful by a server. It started off with her telling us that she has a new puppy and she’s ready to leave(Excuse me? It’s 8:30pm and your restaurant doesn’t even close for a few more hours. I get it, sometimes you just want to go home but you don’t ever tell your customers that), then she proceeded to have smart ass or downright rude remarks throughout the entire duration of our stay, picks up my phone and presses it to my chest(1. Do not touch my phone and 2. Definitely do not touch me), then finished it up with the grand finale: having no interest in even greeting the two people in our party that showed up late or having an interest in coming back to pick up my payment for my meal. Honestly, the waitress should be thankful that I had cash on me otherwise I probably would have walked my first ticket ever as a thank you for ruining my friend’s birthday dinner, creating the most awkward dining atmosphere, and for being a jerk.

It was clean cool place with great waitstaff! Nicole was awesome and her blood Mary’s were great, definitely a great birthday brunch for my lady! The food was good but not anything too special. Definitely would return when I’m back in town, but still not my favorite.

I purchased a gift card from The Bottom website and gave it to my grown kids as a birthday gift. The plan was to use it after a TCU football game. When they went there the gift card was refused. I immediately called the owner/manager and was told they didn’t sell gist cards online. Directing him to his own website, I pointed out the link titled GIFTCARDS. It was later determined that he was a new owner and did not know this feature was on the website. He offered a replacement of the gift card along with an additional $ 25 for the«inconvenience». I also contacted the third party company contracted to sell these gift cards on behalf of The Bottom. They said they would refund the original purchase. Once the owner saw this, he withdrew his offer to replace the card as well as the extra $ 25 for mistreating and embarrassing my kids. No more!

A friend and I went here for brunch due to the high rating on Unilocal.I’m really glad we did! Quick, friendly service and delicious food for cheap. The inside is a little dark and dreary and smells like stale smoke but considering it’s a sports bar that is expected. The patio was open, clean and pet friendly. I would definitely come here again!

Fantastic food, service, beer, and all at a great price. What more do you want? Oh, and don’t forget they have great seafood. Especially for being this far inland.

Almost went with five stars… and probably should have. For a seafood-themed-sports bar in landlocked Fort Worth, it’s the gold standard! The shrimp cocktail was very tasty and plentiful. The Southwest Salmon was well executed and the portion was generous. Frankly, all portions were Cheesecake Factory equivalent, so prepare for leftovers. Ambiance is what it is… five bar in a strip mall. If you need a loan or did punt jewelry, it’s right across the street. Dining inside out out, and the fans make the patio cool. And the prices are college-town low. I will definitely be back often…

I would like to preface this by saying that not my entire experience at The Bottom was 1 star review worthy, however, the ridiculous ending trumps the positive start. Went to watch the TCU game with some friends, had a great waitress who was happy to share her personal favorites when asked. Food was decent and the drinks were refreshing. Later the bartender takes over, middle aged man who claims to be «friends with the owner», has a strange demeanor the whole time. The game was running late and we asked him if we needed to leave since the establishment was closing soon, he said, «I’ll let you know when I’m ready to go, I have to clean anyways.», then proceeds to buy us shots and take one with us as well(this is the 4th shot I’ve seen this man take in less than an hour). My friend had closed his tab from the last round and the guy picked up the check. He then proceeds to curse at us after abruptly turning off the tvs, «Y’all can get the fuck out for $ 2 on $ 25!»…guess he didn’t see the $ 20 I placed on the bar on my way back from the bathroom. I don’t know how this guy still has a job, maybe he is really friends with the owner… pity that a good night of baseball had to end in such on such a ludicrous note.

Wow, great service today! Food is good, it’s typical bar food and the price point can’t be beat. Went for brunch and I ordered a Bloody Mary– I forgot to specify not to make it too spicy and ended up not being able to drink it. I didn’t complain but our waitress noticed I had set it aside and took it off our tab without me even having to ask.

When I imagine the perfect spot for a mellow, sunny sunday, I’ve got my eyeballs behind shades and I’ve got a tasty bloody mary in front of me, chilling under a patio umbrella at the Bottom.(5⁄5 stars) The crowd is a mellow and interesting mix(5⁄5 stars), a few senior citizens, college kids, cowboys, and dudes that look like they belong in a Jimmy Buffet music video. Having had the misfortune of being seated next to some loud, chain-smoking, and hungover TCU kids(divas), the waitress quickly came to the rescue — bearing margaritas for my momma(5⁄5 stars) and some tasty food(4⁄5 stars) for the table. She was friendly and kind enough(5⁄5) to notice the sensory assault and moved us so we could continue on in Sunday Funday bliss!

I have been here a few times and always walk away going, I love this joint. It is a nice simple Restraunt with a nice patio(my favorite). I love to just sit here and drink and relax. I have tried a few things now and have to say the wings are great on the old app menu. These wings look as good as they taste. They are somewhat traditional but have more than just heat, they have a tang that I cannot explain that makes them just mouth watering. They also make a wonderful shrimp cocktail the is filled with big chunks of avocado giving it this beautiful red and green presence and is sweet and tangy. The chicken fried steak is great fried to perfection and covered in some legit cream gravy. Now as for sides i always opt for fries and they do them right here by double frying them. This makes the perfect fry, and anyone who is a French fry enthusiast will know what I am talking about. This is a nice casual place where just hanging out is what they do. The staff has always been friendly and alert to my needs. I would and have recommended it to all my Unilocalers.
