The Ginger Man is a very nice and well decorated bar. It’s away from the main 7th St area so there’s a little bit more intimacy. There’s a very well sized draft selection and the bartenders are more than welcoming. Additionally, at least when I went, there’s not super loud music playing so you’re able to hold a conversation.

The Ginger Man has a rugged style, pizazz, and a great beer selection. I caught this place on a Wednesday evening with a group and friends and promised myself I would be coming back! The outdoor patio is great during the summertime evenings. The bathrooms are relatively clean and the staff are of hipster quality. Probably the best attribute of this bar is the board game selection. Drinking is fun with friends and why not seize the opportunity to play with friends. Some of my friends from TCU say it’s their favorite bar to frequent. Toasts to those who attend and thanks for the attention!

I have a love/hate relationship with this bar. Great beer selection but pricey… Bartenders are friendly or they’re not… Sometimes a big yuppie crowd(no judgement just not my scene) and sometimes a more eclectic scene… Parking makes my head hurt but they have nice décor and comfy couches. It’s worth checking out if you’re in the neighborhood… but maybe just once…

Really cool bar. Lots of microbrews on tap. Friendly service. Just a classic nice dive. Fyi for anyone from out of town, they do allow smoking in the bar and it can get kind of strong in smell if your not used to smoke.

While we had great service by our waitress, we were offended to have our song we chose for the jukebox to be cut off arbitrarily by the male bartenders. If you’re going to have that service for your patrons, then please try not to be rude and cut off songs that you don’t like! I didn’t realize Evanescence was that awful!

People change and so do their preferences for bars. Gingerman has good staff and good beer, but the patrons here are alittle off. Its not the staff’s fault. It’s not the neighborhood either – quite nice. It’s just that only the weirdest women populate this bar.

If you’re stuck in Fort Worth suburbia and craving a good drink, you might want to hit up The Ginger Man. It’s a bar with a good beer selection, though it’s not nearly as extensive as World of Beer, which is only a short walk away. On the plus side, The Ginger Man is definitely cozier than its rather polished competitor and has pretty attentive servers. So if you want to hang out with your buddies, want a good beer and want to feel like you’re in a ‘real bar’, be sure to visit. Their jukebox can surely play you some of your favorite tunes as well!

This is nice quaint place especially from normal dallas scene. I live the fact bartender know their beer which it is their specialty and make recommendations if you ask. Their spinach and artichoke dip with bread is the BOMB!!!

I have been to many a biergarten and have eaten many versions of spinach artichoke dip but today, I was floored! The Ginger Man’s version of spinach artichoke dip is PLATINUM!!! Why? 2%BACONBASE! I knew with the first bite! To confirm, I looked more closely at the menu. Thank you for fueling my love of this dip and of bacon! The bread is this melt-in-mouth soft baguette that you dip into this creamy goodness! I washed it down with a pumpkin-spiced beer called Rahr’s Deadly Sins… slurp! I don’t usually do pumpkin anything but this was tasty and made me think I was eating pie. The only thing missing was the whip cream! The atmosphere of The Ginger Man is warm and inviting. They have several locations so you don’t have to drive to Fort Worth if you don’t want to. But I recommend you leave your zone at least once in life! If you have a crowd to feed they have these party menus to suit any palette. The price points are reasonable and the portions are perfect to sample the scrumptious meats and cheeses– Goudas, cheddars, etc. And the staff is super friendly and helpful with suggestions if you aren’t familiar with microbrews. Totally enjoyable place and I hope to return soon!

Four stars for potential. The place just looks like a joint you want to drink 10 beers in. Great selection. Great French Dip though the brats were only so-so. Service is sluggish but seems like they care enough to constantly get better. Let’s hope.

This is place has become a classic haunt in FW, taking over the Ricks on the Bricks spot in the mid 00’s. Beer only but you should be fine there are plenty of high ABV options. The food is better than your average bae food. Atmosphere is great in the winter, very cozy and had an English pub style feel.

If you come here looking for a PBR, you’re mistaken. If you leave here thinking you were in a «dive bar» you’re very mistaken. This is a cozy, friendly, consistently above average beer pub that seems to be holding up well among the scores of flashy competitors that have popped up in the past 2 years. I’ve been coming here on and off for easily 6 – 7 years, and enjoyed my visit last week as much as any. Sure, sometimes you hit the newbie or the slacker, but most servers and bartenders here enjoy their work and they’re good at it. Their beer menu fluctuates seasonally, but normally you can get a solid recommendation for a substitute.

Date night with hubby! Great beer, great french dip sandwiches, darts and giant Jenga. I know nothing about beer and waitress made a great suggestion. Atmosphere is awesome. I will soon be a regular here.

I’ve been to the Ginger Man in Austin and the one in Rice Village in Houston. This was another old house repurposed as a bar. Tap selection was lacking compared to the other two, but then again, this is Fort Worth, and I doubt anywhere in a twenty mile radius can compare to what is probably forty or so quality beers on tap. I did notice an emphasis on local DFW beers, which I normally applaud, but I don’t go to Ginger Man for local beer, I go for quality rare beers I can’t find other places. I ordered a Beer Companion, which is a delightfully German combination of peta bread, crackers, cheeses, and cold meats with mustard and hummus to snack on while we drank. Hit the spot like it always does. They were doing some kind of Belgian beer night, which was probably cool, except that it was five in the afternoon and they were obnoxiously loud. I understand that’s a twice a year event so no worries there. In the end, it’s just another Ginger Man, but there’s smoking inside! That makes it wonderful for me, but I’m sure the non-smokers are displeased.

They have a wonderful little patio with picnic tables. A great place to take a group. When we were there, there was a table enjoying some board games which I thought was pretty cool. They have a very extensive beer menu as well. Food and service was great.

I am only giving this 2 stars because they have a decent atmosphere. The service at this place is disgraceful. I opened a tab at the bar and then sat on the patio with my friends. A passing waitress asked if I would like another drink and I told her yes, and that there was a tab open at the bar. When I went to go pay, they had opened 2 tabs under my name so the waitress– who didn’t even bring me my second drink(and it took 20 minutes to get it) — could get a tip. This is the only place I have ever refused to tip at. The service for my whole table was poor– it took 45 minutes to get one person’s check. Not to even mention the prices– $ 20 for 2 beers… I think not.

This bar is awesome!!! They have the coolest darts alcove. It is more like a homey house than your average bar. The best part might just be the patio! It is very large and had giant Jenga and washers! They patio is like an oasis. The staff is very attentive and helpful, especially when you need helping picking a beverage from their EXTENSIVE beer selection!!!

Always a great place to go anytime really! They have board games and darts too. Games, beer, music, and good people… What more do you you need in life?! How about playing boring olé scrabble as dirty scrabble? It was seriously so fun! With an insane amount of draft beers here to choose from, it’s sure to please even the pickiest person –if not just leave them at home! You can bring your dog, and everyone is really friendly. This is always a go to spot for a chill night. Love it!

I met my mother here for a drink after picking up Winston from the groomers. We had to walk in a couple of times to order our drinks because the waitress would not come outside. She eventually came out to take our food order, this is the only reason why I gave four stars. When I went in to order my first beer the bartender was very knowledgable and gave me a couple of samples of beer I was trying to decide between. I ended up going with the Iron Joe by Rahr & Sons which was on cask that night. It was excellent and had a nice hint of Avoca coffee. My second beer was their pint night special by McChouffe, a Belgian brown ale, and we got to keep the little snifter glass it came in. I had an excellent time as always.

I’ve been here several times to hang and have a drink since it’s really close to my school and people often have events and post-test celebrations here. They have a good variety of beers here, but if you don’t catch them on special the price can be a bit high. Seating outdoors is great if the weather is nice and limited on the inside if the weather isn’t. They do have a nice fireplace and couches if you can snag that spot, though! They have darts inside as well, but it’s a little cramped and I have never been able to squeeze in a game any time I have come here. The food is decent, but the few times I’ve been here for events the food came out slowly and the service was spotty. Ginger Man is definitely a fun hang spot out of convenience, but not much more than that in my opinion. Try it out yourself, though!
