World Blend

I really like this little place! Sometimes I’ll stop in for a latte and kolache after dropping off my son to school. The owner is very friendly and is willing to strike up a conversation. He seems to have a good relationship with everyone that walks in. I always grab one of the kolaches if he has them… very flaky dough and just the right amount of jalapeño. The sesame and season sprinkled on top only make them better.
He’s got a great little shop here and I’m so glad I had a package to ship one day or I might not have ever found this place

Best coffee shop in town! Tons of variety and fantastic customer service. Rivals any coffee shop in NYC!

For a small, independently owned coffee shop, this place was great with tons of options that are way different than you chain coffee shops. It’s hidden in a small strip of stores, so very easy to miss it if you aren’t sure where you are going.
Like others the coffee/​mailing shop combo isn’t one I’ve seen before, but it seems to work for this owner. The décor is very warming and makes you want to longue and relax for as long as you want.
My boyfriend and I went early on a Saturday morning a few weeks back. The man behind the counter was nice enough to explain a few of the variations that were listed on the menu… it would be helpful to have the details listed, but guess it’s not a huge deal if the worker is willing to explain things. I ended up with the Twix Latte and my boyfriend got some Spiced Latte of some sort. The Twix Latte is definitely one that fixes a sweet tooth for sure. I must say though it did not disappoint. While I am not a Spiced drink type of person, my boyfriend really enjoyed what he got as well.
We will definitely return when we are looking for coffee or a unique beverage not from a big chain coffee store. However, it would be nice to have a few more workers on a bust Saturday morning, When we arrived there were 3 customers in front of us and 2 at the mailing station with just one worker. We waited because we wanted to try World Blend and see what it was about. It was worth the wait, but if your in a hurry… it may not be the best option.

The décor alone make me want to stay awhile. I’ve had a smoothie and a coffee both were pretty good. Looking to try some different flavors here’s spot.

This little diamond has spectacular coffee and the atmosphere of an old post office (it really do usps work also) is so relaxing. The owner is very welcoming, I prefer this coffee over the red cup coffee place anytime.

it’s such a quiet and calm place to come by and drink your coffee with a side of a pumpkin muffin. i love it! would defiantly come back for more!

A really good choice if you are looking for some good quality coffee with reasonable price (who don’t?). Love the atmosphere and the vibe inside. Nice place to sit down and have a nice talk.

I am not sure about all the reviews about the «Nice European Man» behind the counter?! I found him über fake and standoffish!
Went in their because was craving Macha Green Tea, apparently he had just ran out of the Macha Green Tea. he very rudely with a condescending smirk pointed me to other teas, I still ended up staying and ordered a café latte with almond milk instead and, the Heffer that I am, I also pointed at the cheese strudel… At $ 9.00 Dessert was pretty good, latte was weak and customer service was oblique!

My girlfriend found this place and we go just about every weekend to get a Cubano and sit outside. Reading the slightly negative reviews made me laugh really. The owner has been nothing but nice and outgoing each time we have been in. The place is a great place to relax in… and if you need to study they even have a back area called the study room.
After living in the Pacific Northwest for many years, I have grown to love my coffee and this is a great place to get your caffeine. And it is so much better than the burnt offerings of Starbucks (yes I still go there since options are limited in Texas),

There is no way I can adequately express here how much I love this place. I typically drop in once per week when my daughter has a lesson and I have a couple of hours to kill. The owner always welcomes me as if he’s been looking for me, knows my favorite beverages and just how I like them, and makes recommendations when I’m indecisive. It always tastes amazing! One time I was fasting for medical reasons and couldn’t have my usual coffee. I stopped in anyway and he invited me to stay and work for my normal 2 hours, even though I wasn’t purchasing anything. This place is top notch!

Always looking forward in visiting new cities. I stumbled across this place and fell in love. Just a small business owner trying to make a living by doing whatever it takes. From making coffee to shipping your package.
I ended asking the barista, what is the strongest drink you have, he replied with, a Big Bang. It has 5 shots of espresso is in. SOLD. After customizing it with changing out the caramel to mocha, it had to be one of the best espresso drink I have had in a long while. It’s blended with ice, but not so much as you would make a smoothie. I actually enjoyed this over a full blown smoothie, as it gave me a truer espresso drink taste versus one with ice taking the main stage.
Highly recommend this place. I’m certain to come back for more.

I was looking for a refreshing tea yesterday so I went to my handy Unilocal app and discovered World Blend. I walked in and was greeted by the friendly gentleman working. I told him what I was looking for and he pointed me in the right direction. He had quit a selection of teas to choose from. I was looking for a caffeine pick me and something refreshing, maybe fruity. I ended up getting an organic green tea with citrus and ginkgo and mmmm … it was perfect!
As I waited for my tea I browsed around for a bit. This coffee shop reminded me a little bit of the Central Perk off the Friends … kinda. It had that cozy feel that I watched for years on the show. There were some traditional tables and chairs and more comfortable furniture as well. They also have a shipping area so you can stop in here and get your coffee and complete all your mail stuff in one stop!
One of my favorite things here was also the study room in back. If I was still living in the area and going to school I would totally utilize this place for studying or meeting up with friends, or working on projects. The study room has a whole wall that is a chalk board. The guy working told me that the room was a work in progress but he hopes to have it completely repainted and done in a few months.
So if you have been passing by this place and haven’t stopped in — DO IT! He has tons of coffee drinks, pastries, cakes, cookies and smoothies. Oh and if you check in on Unilocal right now you get 20% off any size smoothie!

I’ve always passed by this location for quite some time on Basswood, yet after reading the previous Unilocal reviews, I made a commitment to myself that today would be the day to see why folks like World Blend so much.
First off, on Fridays, this location is rockin’!!! Considerable traffic for mailing items, plus getting a bite to eat or hot beverage. The owner (Val) is unbelievably considerate and nice. The coffee, as well as specialty drinks such as lattes, expressos, etc, are very fresh. I wound up purchasing a triple expresso along with chicken salad sandwich and was quite pleased with the freshness of the sandwich plus quantity size of the triple expresso (double that of Starbuck’s version).
The confines of this venue are relaxing, with local art placed on the walls as well as an active community board. Along with your expected snacks of fruit, brownies, cupcakes, etc, World Blend even serves ice cream (whaaaaaaaaat???). What’s not to love about that?
One noticeable thing is that Val appears to work by himself. In spite of the busy activity on both the beverage side on the left and mailing service on the right, he runs a busy operation that could use one extra employee. Nonetheless, with a little patience, he makes it work and doesn’t appear to get flustered. Well worth waiting for, even if for a few minutes.
I’ll certainly be back.

It’s rare that you find a gem like this in such a family based suburban neighborhood. If you want a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy great coffee in, and baristas that are inviting as well as helpful, then this is the place for you. Don’t let the post office exterior fool you.

Wow. One man show of a whirling dervish serving great coffees smoothies sandwiches and more. A really amazing local vibe with a lot a regulars coming and going. A local band recital was rocking while I was there. Great spot.

World Blend has been the BEST coffee shop I have ever been to! I’ve known owner Valdy for so me time and know that his experience in coffee methodology and flavors are the best in town!
I’ve tried the competition coffee but it doesn’t compare! WB rocks the coffee competition!!!
Beagles are good too, my favorite: the Everything beagle! It’s loaded! Yum!
