Be careful when going there. The prices are not listed on some of the food items and when you go there — the head lady cashier acts mad when you ask her for the prices of certain items. The Meat Sandwiches have little meat and are thin. I went there because it is close to my work but the head lady is not very polite if there is a dispute.

I usually come here if I am really busy at work. I ordered 3 sandwiches and when I went to pick them up the lady gave my order to someone else. They made my order on the spot but she charged me twice. I need to get reimbursed for the charge so more to come on that. I really wouldn’t recommend this place…

The iron lady who rules this place treats her employees like crap!(including her husband who works there, poor guy) it is really sad to watch people treated poorly while you eat or wait(forever) for your to go(away) meal, which usually comes with the wrong items or missing something… She also conveniently offers the most overpriced(plain) salads on this area !

I eat here very often, as I work in the complex. I usually only go for breakfast. The scrambled egg sandwiches are fresh, warm, and tasty. It shines with it’s breakfast options and quick snacks and drinks. Plenty of healthy options. My recommendations: –Veggie Omelette(fresh veggies, not overcooked) –English Muffin Scrambled Egg Sandwich with Sausage –Hard-Boiled Eggs(perfectly boiled, easy to peel) –Fresh Cut Fruit(all the fruit is freshly cut that morning, and has good variety) –BBQ Beef Sandwich(came with cole slaw, was very appetizing) Negatives: –Sometimes get the order wrong(got a ham scrambled egg sandwich instead of sausage) –I ordered over the phone for the first time, and wanted to order several items. As soon as I told them I wanted an omelette, they said«Thank You» and hung up the phone. I had to call back and say I wanted more food. –Muffins are a little dry. Wouldn’t recommend.

As mentioned by other reviewers, there arent too many options in the area, but this place is definitely better food than my office cafeteria. Limited Vegetarian choice though(veggie garden burger and roasted veggie sandwich). but both of them are really good. My colleagues have tried other sandwiches and they are good too. Fresh and affordable.

If you work in the area, you know there aren’t a lot of great options. This one is one of my favorites because of the fresh food, great prices and friendly staff. a lot of the food is made like mama makes it. I go around 11, when there’s never a line, but it seems to get crowded closer to 12. Everything on the menu is affordable. My favorite meal to get is the breakfast burrito, but all of the sandwiches are good too.

Service can be a little slow at times, but other than that, the people are nice, the food is good and the location can’t be beat if you are working in the area. I suggest the ‘special.’

I think the café is owned by a Korean lady. Every so often, her lunch special would be a Korean dish. The Bi Bim Bap at this place is so good, I’d say it rivals the ones served it hot stone pots at Korean restaurants.

Inept and slow! Plus the owner is really mean to her staff. I ordered a trukey sandwich when the place was empty…20 minutes later no sandwhich-seriously!?! $ 1.25 for an apple that is rotten… I will NEVER go back. It SUCKS!

so i came back for their breakfast and it’s pretty darn good. i keep getting the breakfast burrito w/eggs, cheese and sausage. dont remember if hashbrowns are in it. though its a bit smaller than i’d like, its a very good burrito that is not too filling in the morning and is fairly cheap. i want come back and try the other sandwiches

Better call in your order beasue you will end up waiting at least 30 minutes if you don’t. I really do not think it is fair that a simple egg, cheese and muffin sandwich should cost $ 2.95 when that is the cost with ham or bacon. Why should I have to pay that same price and then if I had to use my ATM Card you will have to pay another 50 cents on top of that??? This place tries to SCAM you and the little Asian lady that owns it is not very nice to her employees maybe she should try hiring someone that can speak and read and write the English Language! I don’t think their prices are fair and yes they do need to use better lettuce and have more options — NOTHINGISPRICED in there.

It’s the closest place from work for food. I’ve had the pulled porker burger and bulgolgi. Not bad. The lady who I guess owns the place is super nice. I wish they’d use romaine lettuce or something more nutritious for their salads though… the prices are not too bad.

The Gateway Café its just inside the lobby doors of building 1820 on gateway drive(where Edgewater and hwy 92 meet). The little café is well stocked with drinks and snacks of all kinds including ice cream and scooter pies. They have a menu that consists of hot and cold sandwiches, salads, coffee and espresso drinks and breakfast items. They also offer daily specials and pre-boxed lunches. It’s a great place to grab a quick lunch when you’re in a hurry or when the weather is just too frightful to venture very far. Phone orders can be placed before 11AM, they cater but you must give them 24 hours notice.
