Denny’s

I was seated and then the server never bothered to get water. We waited for 15 mins and still no body bothered to come to us or get any water or take our order.
There were people who came after us and they even got their food.
Eventually we decided to walk out and went to the manager and told her that they should be providing better service and not serving water for 15 mins is bad. He then assigned us a new server and personally took care of us.
The new server was good and the manager was helpful.

Arrived with 4 people to an empty restaurant. Took our order (his english was not good) and then forgot half the order. Had to ask for pancake and syrup after waiting 10 minutes after receiving the meal. Unfortunately both orders of pancakes were burned on one side. Finally received our coffee and water but never came back to check or refill until he had the bill. Looked a little run down inside and out. All Denny’s are not the same! Will not go back to this location.

Food served late but server is courteous and nice. Checked in late at night but can’t complain, am sure they have limited staffs at night shift

Order was late and moreover, the guy at the front packed my order when I hadn’t said anything about take away. The food was fine but the fries were very bad.

Waitress was good and friendly…, but as usual with most Denny’s restaurants the food sucked. Tip: best Denny’s restaurant in this area is in Sunnyvale just off the 101 on Ahwanee Ave. Closest thing to a diner experience I’ve ever had at a Denny’s and that’s no joke

Lady in front took my order to go (spaghetti and meatballs) she told me it would take around 5 minutes. 10 minutes past, nothing. It’s okay cause I’ve worked in fast food and I know how it’s like busy, tired especially cause it was 2:30 AM. 15 minutes later the same lady was rushing the cook for my spaghetti knowing that I’ve been waiting/​timing. I understand it was busy and I can wait not a problem. When I drove home the smell was so delightful. The meat balls, warm and soft and the spaghetti was good! Over all great service and quality food, especially for this time at night.

It is a Denny’s. That being said you know what to expect from Denny’s in terms of food. I usually come here about once every two weeks and every time I go in the morning the coffee is always fresh the food is as expected, and service is always great. That being said, as long as you know what to expect from Denny’s in terms of food taste and expectations, you will not be disappointed in this location. Another plus is that their wifi is pretty reliable and decently fast to watch youtube videos and such.

I’ve NEVER been to a restaurant that makes you wait 30 – 45 min to be seated when the whole place is empty. Shaking my mutha F’n head! Ridiculous

So far the best Denny’s branch ever. Customer service is excellent. The crew, the guy with a pony tail who led us to the table and rang our bill too, the father figure One who took our order were really very friendly. Not to mention the Santa Fe Skillet and pancakes we ordered were super delicious. Thumbs up to the cook Martin for a job well done…
The location is cool and clean too…

We just stood at the hostess desk for over 10 mins and was ignored! Not one worker, and there was 2 ladies and a older man working a few feet away from us and nobody said shit to us! The place wasn’t even that busy! I dont put up with shitty customer service! Im glad my man took us outta there cause i was about get loud!

random weekday dinner on a coupon whim… corner strip mall off hillsdale and 101… aged and dim lot… parking plenty on the denny’s side… finding little change in appearance from the 80s… the biggest change being the menu… fancier skillets like the crazy spicy skillet or might meat lovers skillet… burger names like spicy sriracha, bourbon bacon, slam burger, etc… order of the crazy spicy skillet for $ 9.99…asked if i wanted toasted, so i picked white… didn’t know about the 99 cent extra charge until the bill… standard 2 slices of toasted and buttered bread… crazy spicy was from the slices of jalapenos probably from a can… dry chicken breast sliced… cheese and jalapeño smothered below on a bed of potatoes and things… steak skewers and egg skillet $ 10.99 and another toast charge… tough well-​done cubes of steak with a drizzle of sweet teriyaki sauce. same bed of potatoes, but with 2 eggs… sodas $ 2.49 with endless refills… thick mango smoothie $ 3.49…bit too thick… basically $ 30 total with tax and tip after 20% off coupon…

I actually think this is one of the better Denny’s I’ve been to. Our waitress Ruby was really nice and attentive. It always takes awhile to get your food but the food is not bad. I like their grand slam slugger for $ 8.

Came here on Christmas day after visiting Christmas in the Park in San Jose. We were cold and hungry since it was 39 degrees. We came in and noticed there were 3 other parties ahead of us. We looked ahead and noticed that there were plenty of dirty empty tables.
We waited 30″ to finally get seated which we thought was reasonable since there were 14 of us. Once seated, our server came with our drinks after 8 mins. He gave me my coffee and I immediately noticed that the mug had red colored lipstick and it looked like someone’s lips had really an intimate moment with that mug! GROSS!
I called the server over who was still at our table delivering the other drinks and showed him the mug and pointed to my un-​lipsticked lips and he said, «oh, wow someone really liked the mug»! I said to myself WTF, not a good comeback, buddy! He swiftly took it away and replaced it with another one.
I could go on and on with the horrible experience we had there but long story short-​our food came 51 minutes after we ordered it, YES 51 minutes after we ordered it! I had the timer on the whole time! Our toast came cold. Coffee cold, food cold.
Come on, it’s toast and eggs, not rocket science! We knew we weren’t going in there for a Michelin-​caliber of food. Service was slow, servers un-​friendly! First and last time for us!

All we had was actually good; I had a skillet meal. The prices were good. Elsa performed above my expectations. We were seated quickly and she was very attentive throughout the meal. The workers are approachable and have never messed up an order. Elsa is a real sweet lady.

Great place for cheap eats and nice desserts. They have some ‘light’ options on the menu for those who are a bit more health conscious. I ordered the Atlantic Salmon last time, and it came very dry, would not recommend.
It’s a good place to enjoy a late night snack with friends, but I would recommend going to dinner at one of the excellent restaurants near by instead if you want proper food.

Was here with my family recently, and have been here previously before. Place was kind of empty so the service should have been faster than it was. The server was very nice at first, and the food arrived rather quickly, but when it did, it was terrible. My classic cheeseburger was so dry and crumbly I took ONE bite and knew I wouldn’t be able to stomach it. Not only did the server not come back and check on us even ONCE but when I tried to return my cheeseburger he shrugged and replied «Sorry that’s the way we make our burgers here, that’s just the way they are.»
Outrageous. AND I had to end up paying for it.
I also work as a server in a restaurant, so I know how it works– and it’s unacceptable behavior for business.
I mean, I know it’s a Denny’s but, come on.
Won’t be back.

My family walked in and stood in front of the podium waiting to give them our name. Finally a lady walks up and asks all the people sitting down their names (in Spanish– she didn’t speak English). Then she walks away and acts like we weren’t standing there waiting. I asked her if she would mind taking our name too so she did. I should have saw that as a sign to leave because it took her 10 min to come back and seat us and there was hardly anybody in the restaurant.
They messed up two of our three orders and there was food stuck in the inside of my glass. Never going back.

No problems at this Denny’s. Went here for some late night grubbin’ and had their Fantastic Four «Thing Burger». Basically, everything that personifies late night eats is stuffed in this burger. It’s got bacon, cheese, hash browns, a fried egg, and a cheddar bun. It was so delicious, even when sober! The movie may have been a disappointment in theaters, but the Thing Burger definitely delivered! It’s not on their menu anymore since it was a tie-​in product to the movie’s release, but I do hope they bring it back as a regular menu mainstay. Our server was good and she always checked on us so no complaints there. Overall, it was good experience at this Denny’s.

Waited over an hour for our food, so I asked if our food was on the way. Told the server our order then she just said «sorry» and didn’t even bother to check our order so we walked out. It was late, we were starving and this was straight bs. It wasn’t even busy either. Basically the worst Denny’s to go to if you actually want to eat food. Ended up going to the Foster City McDonalds off the 101. At least they’re reliable and don’t waste your time on bs :) I know late night food options are tight in San Mateo/​Foster City but this place is such a joke.
We were waiting in that booth for over an hour and no one even bothered to check up on us or let us know what the status was on our food. If I wanted to chill for an hour and not eat, I would’ve done that at my apartment across the street. Wake up Denny’s! You’re a restaraunt, the people sitting inside probably want food! I even gave you the benefit of the doubt and waited over an hour in case you were busy but instead you straight up didn’t care enough to put in our order from the beginning.

Simply put, they deserve more than two stars. I’ve worked in the plaza and with their manager so I know that they try their best to make their customers happy. The food is standard Denny’s…not gonna lie, but the fact that they will remake dishes that are sent back to them (given that you actually tell them that you dislike your meal /​how it was prepared) says a lot.
I’d have to say that I’d much rather walk over to Café Tsui Wah or to Ocha Tea for a late night meal (cuz…if you’re going to Denny’s during the day, something’s wrong) so this rating and post is basically a pity post to get this Denny’s location up to three stars.

Buen servicio de parte de los mesero… pero pésimo servicios de la cocina espere mi desayuno por más de 45 minutos y la verdad no se por que si el lugar estava casi vacío …me quede muy desilusionada :-(
