Taco Bell has changed over the years. Back in the 70’s, they had truly authentic Mexican food, with fresh made salsas. At some point, the corporate drones with the MBAs decided to standardize them, the salsa started coming in little plastic packets like catsup, and then the food all tasted like something out of a poor white suburb of Iowa. Now they have discontinued the last of the semi-authentic salsas — the«Green Sauce» — and all we have is chemically flavored glop in packets. Bring Back the Verde!

I can’t believe they mess up my order 3 times in a row. How hard it is to take 3 spicy tostadas and a potato soft taco, I even repeated it 3 times.

This is a pretty average location. The food is fine and there haven’t been any major screw ups to my orders since I’ve started going here. The drive thru occasionally backs up to an unreasonable level when some jerk orders $ 60 worth of food in his car instead of going inside but for the most part its a pretty consistent experience. They are generous with the sauces and great for a late night snack, I just wish they would stop introducing glorious new items only to yank them away from us a month later.

Don’t come here at 9:30PM. The manager is very disorganized. I came here tonight to get my order a grilled stuffed burrito and a cheesy bean and rice burrito. We waited 30 minutes for our order. The guy pretty much did nothing. But he served the take out customer better than we did. We came inside(even though I prefer going through the drive in) because I needed to use the restroom. After waiting 30 minutes we asked him where’s our order. He claimed someone walked inside and took our order. We saw no one walk in but us. I have no idea why he used that attitude against us but that was rude and dishonest. I only come here because Chipotle is closing and there aren’t anything late at night to eat. Oh well. Might as well head to McDonald’s instead.

This review is for Taco Bell’s fake cheese. Which just so happens to be the best fake cheese on Earth. I challenge you to find better fake cheese. Really, I do. Because if there’s fake cheese in Heaven, I bet you it’s from Taco Bell.

Not sure what is going on, but I got nearly nothing in my items. I was eating more tortilla than anything. Looked inside and had nearly nothing. This has happened the last 4 times. I tried the location on el camino next to 92 and got the same. May not go to taco bell again, not happy.

Authentic Taco Bell menu. Friendly drive thru staff, and pretty consistent during peak hours.

typical taco smell, it is what is. When there is nothing else available it’ll do in a pinch. Sometimes they screw up the order in the drive thru

I know this is a fast food place but the drive thru is Absolutely terrible! I got home to find out the nacho cheese Doritos loco taco shells were broken and they only put in 2 small pieces of chicken in each taco!!! I immediately called Taco Bell and no one answers the phone! On top of that they did not provide me with a receipt in the bag! This is as bad as it gets. This means there is No respect for customers if they can’t respect your food!

Seriously, how unprofessional is it to have somebody laugh at you while you’re picking up your food from the drive through? And how ironic is it for me to care about professionalism at a Taco Bell? Whatever, I’m actually more upset that my burrito ended up looking like a retarded mess when I opened it up.

It’s no wonder they’re hiring, no one probably wants to work there because the service sucks! I went there with 3 of my friends. One of my friends was ordering and literally had to point to what he wanted on the menu and the woman came out and had to see the picture in order to punch it into the register because she had no idea what he was talking about… Doesn’t look like she was ready to be working on her own. Also, I ordered a bean Buritto, and it had chunks of tomato and lettuce in it. Come on people, I’m a paying customer!!! I’d like to eat exactly what I paid for.

I know this review is about a fast food joint, and that fast food is disgusting. But Unilocal isn’t about you, so fuck you. That being said, this Taco Bell reminds me of Taco Bell when I was a young little Asian. Maybe I’m just baked, but the Mexican Pizzas here blow my mind. Everything is made to how it looks on the menu. There are no sad tacos here.

Still waiting for Taco Bell to get back to me. When I spoke with a manager I have him my number and he said someone would try to «make this right» although even he was kind of rude about it. I go back on Unilocal and find that everyone else is having similar situations. I see a fishy review for five stars, and I don’t even think it’s real. Of course Customer Service responds to her review but not anyone elses. And it looks like it’s for the wrong location. Customer Service… do you even know how that works Foster City Taco Bell?

I’m not a huge fan of Taco Bell but the customer service for the San Carlos location over the last few months is extraordinary! Hard to find this type of service in any restaurant let alone from a drive through. Congrats please keep up the great and friendly service!

I’ve had bad experiences with Taco Bell restaurants in the past, but I decided to try this one for lunch today. This is the last time I ever make that mistake! When I walked up to the counter, the staff at the drive-thru window said that someone would be with me shortly… which meant more than 3 minutes. When I placed my order, I asked to Dine In. But when I got my food, it was given to me in a to go bag, even though my receipt said«Dine In.» But looking around to the other customers eating inside, they all had trays. Did Taco Bell run out of trays?!? When I sat down to eat my burrito, the tortilla was wrapped very loosely, and a lot of the filling leaked out. I had to finish my burrito with a fork. And there wasn’t much filling to begin with. With a McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, Carl’s Jr., and a new sandwich shop all within walking distance, I will choose differently next time I’m in the area to eat lunch. Never again, Taco Bell!

I thought I’d stop by again at this local Taco Bell to give it another try. Tonight I witnessed something rather sad. The cashier lady who helped me seemed to be on the verge of tears. Looking around, I gathered that she was being bullied by her manager. It is a very uncomfortable and sad sight. Ever since this new manager has taken charge at this place, she seems to have a problem with treating her own coworkers with some respect. Miss Manager, I have something to say: you cannot lead a team through fear and abuse of power. Not only will your morale be absurdly low, the quality of your food will also reflect that. Being a leader is not barking orders around. Being a leader means to look out for your fellow employees and encourage them on their growth. From what I’ve seen tonight, I won’t come back again. And to Ms cashier lady, go find a better job with people who support and respect you. You deserve better than this.

Don’t order the«Cantina Double Steak Quesadilla» like I did after watching the TV commercial promoting this by Chef Lorena Garcia(from Top Chef — All Stars). While it looks and sounds good in the commercial, when I ordered it here it was a big disappointment. The commercial from Taco Bell’s website said: «A double portion of marinated premium thick-cut steak combined with pepper jack cheese, all folded in a grilled tortilla. Served with nacho chips and fire-roasted tomato Cantina salsa and reduced-fat sour cream for dipping.» When I received my order after paying $ 6+ for this, I was very surprised to see this pathetic looking thin piece of tortilla that has very little«shreds» of beef wrapped in it. The«premium» «thick-cut» «steak» was no where to be seen. In fact there was more cheese in the quesadilla than the beef. With these little bites of shredded beef I really could not tell whether this was«premium» grade beef or what. Also they forgot my nacho chips and«fire-roasted tomato catina salsa» as well. So I went back to ask about these two items. They gave me the chips but informed that they were out of the salsa. They told me they were making a new batch so I said I would wait. This was a Monday afternoon around 2 pm, so the place was relatively empty. I was too hungry so I started eating regardless. By the time I was done eating there was still no salsa anywhere in sight and I needed to take off for my appointment at 3:30 pm in Pleasanton, so I left and probably will never come back.
