Very unprofessional. My wife worked here as a teacher. She put in her 2 weeks after the way the manager treated her when she was way to sick to come into work and my wife didn’t want to get the children sick. Anyway thats not the main reason for our frustration with them. A week after my wife’s last work week the paychecks came in and my wife was unable to pick up her paycheck, so me being her financial power of attorney I went to pick it up. The manager proceeded to tell me its against company policy to give me her check so I told her to mail it to us. It’s a whole week later and still haven’t seen it. I might not be an expert in what goes on at the US postal service but I don’t think it takes a week to travel 2 miles down the road. All I can say is if they treat their employees this way how are they treating your children?

Just wanted to write another review about how wonderful this place is. Both my children now attend and I couldn’t be happier. As far as bullying goes, I went through that with my 7-year-old in her grade school. It turns out she wasn’t actually being bullied. She was simply disagreed with by other kids. They didn’t want to play the same game as she did, so she said she was being bullied. It’s a developmental stage for kids. And they grow out of it. But the staff has always been attentive, aware, and kind when it comes to any questions or issues that have arisen with my kids. They are truly like family here, and being extremely selective, I feel blessed to have found this place. One more thing I feel the need to bring up… Fresh fruits and veggies are ALWAYS provided by Maxwell. It was a HUGE struggle with my 7-year-old to eat any kind of veggie at home. But now she goes to Maxwell before and after school, which has introduced her to veggies kids actually like. And now I’m able to make foods at home that she will eat that are also nutritious for her. So, thanks for that also, Maxwell!

I have a 5 yr old son who’s currently enrolled at Special Education program due to his delayed developmental speech. I also enrolled him last year to this Day Care with his older sister(now in 5th grade) for drop in’s or back-up child care. My poor little guy was bullied and kids made fun of him. Teacher just ignored this type of issue or maybe they were lack of staff. Also my daughter complains that they provide such a horrible lunch food/meals all the time.

Once I got a new job I found a new daycare center to take my son to. Giving that my boy is my first, I couldn’t compare Maxwell to any other daycare and now that my son has been attending a much reputable place, Maxwell fell very short. They did offer me a discount so I guess you get what you pay for. Just be prepared anytime you have a concern to hear the director Nikki talk about how she’s been in the industry for 10 years and so on and so forth. They did have a lot of turnover. I remember them hiring/firing a lot of people from the apartment complex I was working for. Your child will be cared for at Maxwell, but keep in mind, you get what you pay for so don’t expect infant sign language or fresh fruits and veggies every day.

Maxwell Preschool Academy in Fountain Hills is AMAZING!!! My daughter has been attending Maxwell for about 8 months. She loves going to school :-) The director, Miss Nicki, is wonderful! She she has a huge heart and takes the time to get to know each child and their parents. My daughter has had the privilege of having Miss K as her teacher for the past few months in the ones class. Miss K has a strong bond with all of the children in her class. She keeps class fun and exciting. Recently, my little girl turned two and has moved into Miss Alicia’s room. She has so much fun and is excited to start her day. Miss Alicia is a great teacher and I look forward to getting to know her more in the months to come. All of the staff is excellent. From the moment my daughter enters the school in the morning until the time I pick her up in the afternoon, there is always a smiling face there :-) I HIGHLY recommend Maxwell Preschool Academy to anyone looking for a safe and caring environment :-) Amy B.
