This place use to be the old Chris’ and Pitt’s back in the day, but I guess it changed ownership since then. But looking thru the previous reviews about Chris’ and Pitt’s, it looks like the food hasn’t changed! Service was a bit slow. 15 minutes after getting seated, no one stopped by to ask us for our drink order. Someone eventually stopped by and apologized for the wait and got our order as well. I’d say he was pretty friendly and quite informative about the food. Me and the boyfriend decided to shared a Combination Platter with a choice of 4(spareribs, brisket, pork shoulder, and link sausage). It came with a choice of a side(we got fries… they ran out of potato salad), salad, and garlic bread. Salad was good. Just a basic green salad with a splash of carrot and the tomato was extra sweet. Served with a side of homemade ranch dressing. Garlic bread was burnt? Like about half of the loaf was charred. I wondered why they even bothered serving it to us. Nothing special. Not a whole lot of garlic, tasted like bread with butter. The BBQ platter was huge! Good thing we were splitting, cuz I have no idea how one person could finish it all. Spare ribs were kinda tough, brisket was dry, pork shoulder was fatty, and«spicy» link sausage was ok. Their BBQ sauce wasn’t spectacular. It lacked that robust punch and spices. Oh yeah, it was so called«spicy». Definitely not spicy at all!(heat wise and spice wise). For $ 20(before tax and tip) for both of us, it wasn’t a bad deal. But even then, that’s alot for food that was just meh.
