Gem Day Spa

I take my 15 year old son to Seema for facials for his acne. I have taken him to probably a half-​dozen different places over the past few years, and Seema is by far our favorite. She doesn’t rush through it, she pays lots of attention to the areas he is concerned about, her extractions don’t hurt quite as bad as some of the previous experiences he’s had and she is very good at it. She is very nice, and very responsive when I text for appointments, and the price is reasonable enough that I can fit it within my limited budget. Seema also does threading and she does an excellent job of it. I have had her thread my brows and lip and she hardly hurts at all. I have had her do a facial on me as well for my acne, and although I cannot afford to have mine done all the time, I thought she was great! The place is located inside of Los Cab and it is very easy to find once you know that it’s located inside of the Club. The owner is also very nice and will give us sample products to take home from time to time. I highly recommend Seema at Gem Day Spa!

Love Holly!!! Hands down the best facial you will ever get!!! Been seeing her for four years and she saved my skin!!! 50 years old and my skin has never looked better!!!

I was ATTEMPTING to book a spa appointment for my wife in a couple weeks, but I moved on to another spa in the area that actually takes their business and clients seriously.
I have made at LEAST 20 calls over the last week to this place and have gotten 1 call back which went to voicemail, (becuase it wasn’t at the time I asked to be called so I would be available) to confirm what I wanted and she messed up the time and the date.
This place is a joke and it really makes me wonder where the owner, or at least a manager, is in all of this.
Ridiculously unprofessional…

Holly Van Epps is one of the best aestheticians out there. I have been going to her for years now. If you are looking for someone who is great at her trade, that would be Holly. I recently found out that one of the friends I made on my recent travels to Italy also goes to Holly for her facial care needs. Holly has a great personality and is highly professional as well. She will make you feel comfortable and at ease. It’s almost time for me to schedule an appointment with her! :)

This is for a recent experiment at gem spa, I tried to call them several time to rebook an appointment and they NEVER called me back. So i decided to come over and see where Ariana is and yup the store is closed! Oh what surprised?! I went to the front desk and asked the guy if they knew anything about the place, he said he didn’t know anything because the spa wasn’t a part of their club so he didn’t know. So I guess I have threw my groupon away because they don’t pick up the phone anymore. BEWARE!

So unprofessional!!!
I purchased a groupon for a facial and scheduled an appointment two weeks in advance.
Anyways, yes this place is hard to find, but even after going through hell and back to find it, I finally arrive and no one is there! The spa door is locked and the lights are off.
I get a call from Ariana (the esthetician) telling me she’s going to be 5 – 10 mins late. I tell her it’s fine I will wait. She calls back after 20 mins (mind you it’s already 20 mins past my appointment time) giving me some lame excuse how she is on the fwy but there’s so much traffic and she can’t make it sorry! I was honestly in shock. This has never happened before. I’m literally sitting outside waiting for this woman because I told her today is the only day I could get my facial done due to a wedding in a couple days. She said she will try her best to make it. I’m sitting in front of the spa still in disbelief. If you knew you had an client at 5pm today why leave at the last minute. Where is the owner in all this?!
And after waiting 45 mins, I got the facial (big mistake) my face looks Iike I’ve been beat by a grown man. My nose and forehead is bruised to the point where I had to call out of work because I’m pretty sure everyone is going to be scared to look at me. I’ve been icing it since last night and still nothing. :(

I bought the Groupon for a facial and was very happy with the results. Unfortunately I don’t remember the girl’s name, but she was really sweet and knew what she was doing. She gave me a lot of tips about my face, which I appreciated, but sometimes it came across as slightly rude (kind of like, you’re doing everything wrong, this is how it should be done). Don’t get the wrong idea though, it was nothing terrible. This was my first time getting a facial and I was not really looking forward to it, because I hate anyone touching my face! I was happy to find that I quite enjoyed it.
My only other criticism is that the place is really hard to find. It is in the Los Cab Village, over by the pools. Because of this, I was a bit late, and they didn’t give me that extra time for my appointment. Fair enough, but it would be nice if they gave us a heads up on their exact location when they called the day before to confirm, or when I made my appoint, because it is quite hidden and seems a lot of people get lost.

First off, DIRECTIONS TO THE SALON because it is REALLY hard to find. The cross-​streets for Los Caballeros are Newhope and Slater, and the big archways to enter the complex/​parking area are just past the small Public Storage facility. Drive through the arches and go straight down until you see the big open area for parking on your left (not the smaller areas between the smaller buildings). The big building at left is the Los Caballeros Racquet and Sports Club. Go inside and the person at the front desk should tell you to walk all along the black gate/​fence surrounding the pool area and when the gate/​fence ends the salon will be in the left wing of the buildings to your right.
Now to my actual review: I bought an Amazon Local deal for a deep conditioning, hair cut, and style. Shirley answered my call immediately, scheduled me, and was very courteous when I had to reschedule. The head massage with the shampoo/​conditioner was great and unlike at most salons where I have gone, not even a drop of water got on my shirt (I’ve gotten the collar/​back wet several times)! She was open and friendly and, but not a Chatty Cathy who talks over you. She didn’t try to push a bunch of products on me, either.
Shirley listened to my needs and she most certainly delivered! She showed me a really simple way to style it myself (I’m typically a wash-​and-​wear kind of girl) and my hair looks fantastic. Pretty much everyone noticed at my work! All in all, she is well worth the hassle to find the darn salon!

Holly and Megan are wonderful ~They don’t rush your facial, make great recommendations and truly have a passion for making you feel and look your best! The location is small and intimate but very clean and organized. The short walk to the spa is not that difficult to navigate since the reception staff give great directions… plus who would complain about getting to walk around the pool area and see some great looking men ;-)
They have made a lifelong customer out of me!

I had a facial with Sherri the other day and I loved it! The facial itself super through and very relaxing. Sherri also did a foot massage which almost put me to sleep. I have booked another facial and I think I’m going to ask Sherri for an extra half hour foot massage the next time I go in.
The spa itself is super tiny but nice. It’s located in the back of the Los Cab tennis club. You need to walk past the pool and then take a right. I walked into the hair salon and was totally ignored by two stylists talking to an elderly lady. I stood there waiting for them to acknowledge me but I was ignored like I was invisible, and I KNOW that they knew I standing there. I then asked the manicurist where the spa was and she directed me to go next door.
I’m going to make good use of the gym the next time I go.

I go for monthly facials. Holly takes great care of me. She uses top of the line products and her prices are very reasonable. Never going to go anywhere else.
