Denny’s is gourmet compared to this place. I ordered the sirloin and shrimp for $ 9.99. The veggies were preposterous peas and carrots, and the flavorless sirloin was as thin as a piece of paper. It’s as if they knew the meat sucked, so they give you a side of some kind of dipping sauce so you can actually enjoy it. I ended up only eating the steak and shrimp. The veggies and mashed potatoes were left uneaten, along with the dinner roll. Even the waitress asked if the food was ok TWICE, because most of it was uneaten lol I didn’t even feel like complaining, and just wrote that dinner off as a loss.

My husband and I had breakfast here this morning. First, I am in a wheelchair, the hostess wanted to make sure I was comfortable where I was sitting she got us coffee and pointed out the specials.(extra stars for this). The waitress came to take our order. I had the Monte cristo with fries I also asked for sugar free syrup too, it also has raspberry preserves on the plate and pickles. My husband had eggs benedict, the waitress asks how cooked do you want your eggs, my husband said thought benedict was always soft, she said many of our cudtmers like it done more. My husband had soft. The food was great as was service. I would recommend this for any meal and their specials are unbelievable.

Good daily specials before 11am and from 3pm till 5pm. I wasn’t happy with their homemade stew but overall it is a good value. I have been eating there for 15 years.

This is our breakfast staple on Sunday’s. We’ve been coming here for many years. The staff is attentive and personable. Good food at a good price and usually very fast.

The lunch and dinner specials are great! The service is consistently good. The food is usually great, one time we went when it was very busy and it was okay. Would recommend for an everyday reliable diner spot.

Coming here was not planned at all. We were going to go get Indian food at Taste of India but we passed by Magnolia Café and decided to check it out. Walking to the entrance, you could see through the windows that all the customers inside were senior citizens. We were obviously looked at for a few minutes and then everyone commenced back to grubbing as we got seated. Restaurant atmosphere & service: Very 70’s diner with pink seats and you know they have not redecorated anything since it first opened. Service was friendly. Place was a bit stuffy probably because it would be too cold for the seniors if the AC was on. One of the cooks looks like he’s been there for 50 years! Pretty cool. Food: They have specials every day such as liver and onions, pot roast, chicken friend steak etc. They serve breakfast all day! What we ordered– Corn beef hash with hash browns with eggs and toast– $ 10.75 Corn beef hash had a good flavor! Probably better than some of the ones I’ve had at some of the breakfast places that are known for their corn beef hash. Hash browns were crispy. Breakfast Chicken fried steak with fries with eggs and toast– $ 10.75 This is what I had ordered. Chicken fried steak was smaller since it was a breakfast version instead of dinner, but it was good! It wasn’t tough or chewy but soft enough to cut it with a fork. Gravy sauce was delicious. Fries were good, you can tell they don’t over salt their food because of their veteran customers being seniors and probably cut back on the salt. I don’t eat food with too much salt so this was perfect for me. I see people complaining about lack of salt etc, that is why there is salt on the table… I would recommend this place if you want that classic Americana diner experience and not those hipster breakfast places.

Best breakfast in town. Fast service, very reasonable prices and delicious food. Good coffee too. Had the #11 breakfast with grits instead of hash browns. Yes I said GRITS!!! Need I say more for this review? If you’re trying to find a good breakfast spot, here it is.

This place isn’t the good at all. Dirty cups, no seasoning and bad service says it all! I’ll never go back and I suggest no on else go either :)

This is a traditional café that probably hasn’t changed its look since it opened. That can be both a good and bad thing. The food was ok for the price. One of my indicators is how they cook eggs over medium. Mine were overlooked. The hash browns were too greasy to the point that I was skimming the top like a salad with too much dressing. I ordered the number 10 combo.

I’m new to the area and I was delighted to be introduced to this place, very homelike environment, clean and of course… affordable prices from breakfast, lunch and dinners other reviewers may not be too happy but I must say, my experienced is excellent. One of the reason why we come here often is because of Patricia, one of the best friendliest server and all of the staff are pretty accomodating and very nice. I highly recommend this place and now we are a regular customer that comes at least twice a week or more. Thank you so much.

The atmosphere is family oriented and food is reasonable priced: they have a daily senior discount menu from 3 – 5 daily as well as specials for breakfast and daily dinner specials. I enjoy seeing my three favorite waitress Tatiana Patricia, and Maribel and Carlos who helps and manages the restaurant

Patricia(server) is the reason I will never go back there. Many years ago went there for Breakfast they have many specials, I thought it would be around $ 4.00, Patricia said that it would not be much more for the one she ordered for me, well $ 12.00 later. Did not go back for years. Then started going again since they do have really good food for the price. Now the only server I have problems with is Patricia. The last time and it will be the last time, I ordered a meal and paid extra for the salad. Patricia asked me when I first arrived how I was-I said HUNGRY. So I waited and waited for the salad that I eat before my main meal. She served it ALLATTHESAMETIME. And It was not that busy only a few customers. So I ate my salad, and took the main meal home. I eat out a lot and she is the worst server.

My waitress was named Alise or Alice(according to my tab). We were promptly greeted and seated by a woman not dressed like a waitress, but was probably the owner or manager. Alise came by our table to take our order. My son ordered a patty melt which came with fries and a soda. He said the fries«tasted weird» like they needed«salt or something.» I ordered spaghetti with marinara sauce. It came with garlic toast which was a slice of sandwich bread with garlic or cheese or both on it and some Parmesan sprinkled over the top. The marinara sauce tasted like canned sauce, with not much of any flavor. I was expecting at least some oregano or even some salt or something. It was very bland. I could have and should have purchased the ingredients myself and made dinner at home. This was a total disappointment. Alise never came by our table after delivering our food to see if we were on or to ask us for a refill. She was standing around at the diner counter talking about a young lady’s first time waitressing… Alise was not on her A-game though and I left a measly $ 3 tip because I was being nice. We won’t be coming back, though. When my son doesn’t like his food, I know I’m not just trippin’.

I wasn’t on a cheat meal so I had to make it simple. I had a plain oatmeal and scrambled eggs. However, my family has pancakes, eggs, and steak. Which were all fantastic! The coffee was outstanding! It does seem like a local diner, in which I appreciate. The employees and manager were very welcoming and warm. As my man says, if the coffee is great and the pancakes are to die for, you know everything else is going to be wonderful! Thank you for the hospitality Magnolia Café! We will return and refer as well! Xoxo

The place is really old and outdated. The food is not good, it tastes like frozen food. The only reason why I am giving them a two is because everyone was really friendly.

Frendly service however a little slow They seem to cater to a local and senior clientele. The food is filling but… bland. pricing a little high for what you get. Try fresher ingredients Will try again next year

Finally tried this spot on my way to work. The food was great and what I expected. Price was fair. The service was on point and the food was ready very quickly. I will definitely be back.

Sorry, think twice before eating here. I had a Cheeseburger meal and my wife had French Toast with Hash Browns. Following our regretful meals, we visited the Fish Store and that is when I started to fell sick to stomach — I rushed home to vomit. Honest review, please read my other reviews if needed.

If your ballin on a budget for breakfast this place is the way to go. I wasn’t around in the 70s but this place looks just like those dinners you see in the tv shows from that era. It’s cozy and homey. Feels like its stuck in time. The food is cheap and great for what you pay. I also like the variety on the menu. Everything under the sun and the have a lot of specials that come with salads or soup. Nothing fancy here just a quick place to dine and get a taste of nostalgia.

Perfect neighborhood café that serves breakfast anytime. Has«Sunset Dinner» specials from 3pm-6pm daily. Includes soup or salad and a dessert. Cozy, very friendly staff, and home cooked food. Easy on the stomach for people with diet restrictions, meaning not spicy. Been coming here for years.

This a great place to enjoy the old school diner menu and atmosphere. Awesome waitresses and good food. You should put this on your must visit list. It takes me back to my childhood and hanging out with my grandparents at Sambo’s. They have awesome specials that all come with a great choice of deserts.

A solid 3.5 stars. A great spot for breakfast, sitting at the counter, watching the old fashioned diner waitresses scooping up butter for huge pancakes. This is a no frills throwback neighborhood diner serving up steak n eggs, pot roast, chicken n dumplin’s, etc. Nothing bad, nothing too special. Great service, smiling staff, good portions but not cheap. For the best bang for your breakfast buck, I still prefer Papa Z’s, but you don’t wait in line for service here at Magnolia.

I honestly can’t believe how long this place has been around! I went here once and it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t anything to write home about haha so because of that I was never eager to go back. the food is okay, not good and definitely not great, but if you’re hungry, it’ll do.
