I’ve tried multiple different sushi restaurants and I’ve never tasted anything better than the sushi here. I come here at least twice a week. I recommend this place to all my friends. Servers are always nice and the chefs are very friendly. Best sushi in oc hands down

IFYOUWANTGOODSERVICE, CHEAPPRICES, ANDQUALITYSUSHI, go here!!! Legitimately one of the best sushi places I’ve been to. It’s a quaint little corner place with great service and a variety of seafood. Great ambience and amazing prices; we went during happy hour and ordered the SBS roll, the crunch roll, the sexy mango roll, the salmon sashimi, and tempura shrimp. For three pieces of tempura it was $ 2 and had a nice crunch and better than I expected for the price. The seven pieces of salmon sashimi was $ 10.95 and beautifully presented. I also loved the unique sushi rolls! Definitely hoping to return in the near future.

Favorite place to eat with great tasting sushi, not to mention a friendly greeting every time I come in, which is sometimes three times a week. Try the volcano roll.

I must’ve been pretty ill-stricken when I went the first, second and many times after as I thought I wrote a review for them already. My bad, I didn’t write one but I constantly refer a ton ton of people here all the time! I’m sorry Sushi Plus… I really thought I wrote a review for you! I come in here at least 1 once a month to «Dine In» and at least 2 times a month for«Take Out», I normally order their amazing Poke Bowl that is probably one of the BEST I’ve found in OC. The make it with Avocados and sprinkle on Seaweed Flakes that really makes it different than the other Poke Bowls I’ve had at other Japanese, Korean and Hawaiian restaurants. Their Poke Bowl is $ 8.95 and you get a lot of Salmon & Tuna. I love love it. But this weekend’s visit was to have their rolls and Sushi with my Bestie that came to visit. Here’s what we ordered for Happy Hour(Starts at 8PM): 01. 3-Shrimp Tempura(3 Pieces) $ 2.00 — 3.5 Start 02. 1-Mixed Veggie Tempura $ 3.00 — 4 Stars 03. 4-Unagi — $ 1.75 — 4 Stars 04. 2-Crunch Washington(4 Pieces) $ 4.25 — 4 Stars 05. 3-Rainbow(4 Pieces) $ 4.00 — 4 Stars 06. 2-Spicy Tuna(4 Pieces) $ 4.00 — 4 Stars 07. 2-CA Rolls(4 Pieces) $ 2.00 — 3.5 Stars 08. 2-Tempura CA Rolls(4 Pieces) $ 3.00 — 5 Stars 09. 1-Tiger Rolls(4 Pieces) $ 4.25 — 4 Stars 10. 7-Yellowtails $ 1.75 — 5 Stars 11. 2-Albacore Tunas $ 1.00 — 5 Stars 12. 5-Tunas $ 1.00 — 5 Stars 13. 3-Salmons $ 1.00 — 5 Stars My Fave Fave are their Yellowtail, Salmons, Tunas and Tempura CA Rolls. The Yellowtail is always fresh, the Salmon is tasty and the Tuna is always a pleaser. The Kiddos get Tempura CA Rolls and they come out hot and delicious. We ate all that an our bill was only $ 90 before tip. Hitting this place during HH is the BEST. LOCATION: Tiny Tiny place that has only 8 – 10 tables, Depending on your group size, the move the tables around to fit your party. Expect lots of waiting time if you come during their peak hours. Since it’s a «Hit & Miss» on crowds, we normally order«To-Go» if we come during regular hours. I don’t think you can order the HH items«To-Go». TIP: If you are on a budget, go during their HH Hours(starts at 8:00PM) and you’ll save so much money. OWNERS: Love the owners, he’s also the Sushi Chef and always so nice. Their workers are okay, depending who serves you, they can be a bit rude. The male servers are SUPER friendly and always helpful. RECOMMENDATIONS: Try this Poke Bowls but make sure they sprinkle the Seaweed Flakes and has Avocados. You’re love it too. The seasoning is amazing and their Poke Bowl is so tasty.

Killer Sushi. The menu is extensive and full of variety. Fish is cold and fresh, rice is warm and sticky. Love all the jalapeño rolls. It’s not a fancy joint, but the sushi is the bomb. Staff is great. Daniel, Stacy… HDD

I had a bad experience because of the service. The waitress was incredibly rude to me, she even rolled her eyes at me when I asked for sauce. I was even scared to ask for a refill to my water because she seemed so pissed just by me being there. At the end I left a note on the Boucher saying how I go there often and I didn’t feel welcome for the first time because of the rudeness and I was still on my car when I saw the guy who cleaned my table taking the note to the waitress and she laughed. I love this place but I don’t like that someone made me feel unwelcome when I am paying for the food, I don’t think I’m coming back, even if I was a regular for three years.

Hands down my favorite sushi place! The prices are reasonable and affordable and the quality is definitely there. Happy hour(after 8pm) makes it even better. There is always friendly service but one downfall is that seating can be limited when it gets busy.

I’ve tossed around the phrase«Best Kept Secret» before, but it seems that this is a case where it truly applies. Sushi Plus has been a perennial lunchtime haunt of mine for years, but none of my sushi-loving people seem to be aware of its existence — and yet, Sushi Plus has been plodding along since forever, still in business with a small base of loyal customers. It really deserves a lot more love! Full disclosure, this isn’t a trendy, high-end kind of sushi place. The owner didn’t invest his budget into making his place the hipster-magnet such as you see clogging the arteries of Orange County. Sushi Plus has very basic seating and minimal attempt at décor or atmosphere, and a smallish bar. You probably wouldn’t make it your date night destination, nor is it the kind of restaurant that attracts that«neighborhood-hang-out and be-besties-with-the-chef» crowd like you’d see in some other joints(Kiku comes to mind). It is clean and simple, and you can get some really good sushi for a good price. For example: AWESOME poke; I can order it with extra avo and salmon for an even more awesome poke experience. Fresh and perfectly sauced, I would choose the poke here over anywhere in HB. Rolls; The Super Lobster Roll, a study in extravagance. This one roll is a meal on its own, a California Roll drenched in creamy langostino chunks and richness. When you’re in the mood for simpler fare, try the Washington Roll(salmon topped) and the Volcano Roll(spicy tuna and Sriracha). Other favorites of mine include the Hawaiian and the Oishi, which is the only riceless option on the menu. Most every other roll on the menu has been a repeat experience, but those are my tried-and-trues. Occasionally I’ve had a sashimi salad here which was fine and satisfying. For the most part, I don’t get into the non-sushi part of their menu, so there ends my familiarity. Sushi plus is an affordable *and* healthy habit, maybe not for every day, but at least once a week. Not many sushi restaurants could get on that list.

So I came here for lunch. They had a wide variety of sushi options but I ended up deciding to settle for the Lunch Chicken Bento. The bento itself came with tempura, salad, california roll pieces, chicken teriyaki and rice. The food itself was just okay. The chicken teriyaki, while decently good, had more of a stir fry chicken taste that you’d expect from one of those California Grill type places at the mall, where the meat is cooked on top and drizzle with a lot of sauce. Not quite what I was expecting, but not too bad either. The rest of the meal was okay. The salad had a nice sweet sauce on it, the tempera was decent, and the california roll was a california roll. It tasted like the same kind of bento box I would have had at any fast/express«Japanese» food place. The service was friendly though, the waitress did refill my water promptly, but beyond that there was nothing special about this place for me.

I really want to be able to give this restaurant a five star rating but after the service I have repetitively had I cannot. The food is amazing and the owners are super sweet. I have been coming to sushi plus since their opening six years ago and I keep coming back because of the owners and the food. However whenever I come back to sushi plus I am treated horribly unprofessionally and it makes me feel unwelcome. From a more positive response I do enjoy their Poke Bowl and their Lobster Rolls.

Great local sushi spot. Normally I like to eat in when eat sushi but this place is so close I find myself getting take out a lot. I LOVE the fire cracker roll. So tasty. The service is great too. Very low key family friendly kind of place. The sushi bar is small and intimate. Great place to eat after a visit to the reptile zoo!

Soft shell crab $ 8.95 as appetizer! They give you 2 sauces. It was crispy and there are 2 large pieces. Prolly more worth it to get just crab instead of a spider roll.

We ate a lot of rolls, the food was very good and the people were nice. Probably the highlight was the salmon skin roll — we got two, and I think each was $ 4 which is an amazing value. But everything was good. Definitely recommend.

It was delicious and so close to home… Fresh salad with ginger dressing, rolls are fresh and flavorful. We had B52 roll and Aloha Roll. They were both very different and delicious. I had plum wine for the first time and it went well with everything. We will return for sure!!! Thank you Unilocalers for the tips, so very helpful.

God I hate sushi but my wife and gods love it. They love this place and we have been here a few times now. My wife likes the tuna and my kids get a little of everything. If you have not been here yet give it a try. Good food and good service.

Easily one of my favorite sushi spots in orange county.(Weekend visits only — never been in during the week) Pros: * Fish quality. Their salmon n red tuna has been on point every time I’ve been here. Their salmon is my favorite. * Good prices on beer and sake. * Very friendly chefs and servers * Good prices and portions. For what you pay… you get a good amount of food and quality. They tend to let the natural flavor of fish and preparation speak for itself. Cons: * Small spot… can be tough for big groups during rush hour. * Its kind of tucked away in a generic shopping plaza thats kinda underwhelming which can be a turn off to some. * No A/C. Its hot as Satan’s thighs during a jog today n a cool breeze woulda been nice. :/

Growing up in Fountain Valley has exposed me to some delicious eats. I’m not just saying that because I’m biased. But seriously, how’d we totally come out on top with these great mom and pop shops serving delicious food? Fountain Valley isn’t exactly the city you think of when you think«hey, I’m going on a vacation and I’m going to hit up the FV for some good food!» Oh well, it’s been good to me, and hopefully we can keep these places around forever by spreading the word. Speaking of one of these places… Sushi Plus. This is a tiny restaurant in a pretty outdated looking strip mall. The first time I went, I drove by it before even noticing where it was. I’m not sure how long this restaurant has been here, but the first time I’ve dined here was just a few months ago. I was greeted by friendly staff and sushi chefs when I walked in, and luckily my party of 7 was able to be seated pretty quickly. When I find the restaurant on Unilocal,I didn’t realize it was so small. Maybe 7 seats at the sushi bar, and 20 seats in the rest of the restaurant. I’m not exactly sure, but it’s small. The restaurant is clean, nothing fancy. The prices are very reasonable; almost everything is probably under $ 15. I really love the spicy tuna bowl and the super lobster roll. The salmon boat was good too. The salmon boat is basically a slice of salmon, wrapped around imitation crab, with a quail egg cracked on top. The flavors blend very well, and it has almost a creamy taste to it. I always order entirely too much every time I go. All the rolls I’ve tried were delicious. I’d recommend the super lobster roll, Volcano Roll and Firecracker Roll. I also enjoyed the baked mussels that are topped with onions and masago. The mayo on top isn’t too overwhelming, just enough to add some flavor. This restaurant has me constantly returning because the food as stayed consistently delicious. If you don’t really like to wait around for a table, I would call ahead and order to go. The rolls are packaged as beautifully as they are displayed in the restaurant. Don’t get it twisted though, this isn’t one of those fancy high end restaurants, so if you’re a sushi snob, I’d steer clear. It’s good and it fulfills my sushi cravings, but don’t expect Nobu to come out from the kitchen.
